| Why is Bluetooth so bad on OnePlus phones? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 03:06 PM PST I recently upgraded from a 3T to a 6T, part of the reason was really spotty Bluetooth capabilities on the 3T. Some devices just will not pair, some pair but then only connect one time per power cycle of the phone. So far my 6T has been better, but I just ran into the same issue with the same important device that I have, it only is detected about half the times I put them both in pairing mode, and then it hangs on 'Connecting...' forever during pairing. My two nexus phones had zero issues with this device. I have some friends who used a OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 for a long time and said they also had issues with the bluetooth. What's the deal? The link is in German but it contains all the same info provided in the previous thread and then even more. You can use Google translate. It works fine. | Garbled audio over car bluetooth? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 08:07 PM PST I've been having this issue for a while. Every so often, when I connect my phone to my car's bluetooth, the audio comes out distorted and extremely sped up for a few seconds. I can only fix it by pausing the song or skipping, but even that doesn't work sometimes, and I have to completely reconnect the phone. Has this happened to anyone else. My car is a 2014 BMW, but this issue never happened with my Galaxy S8. However my 5T and 6 both have this issue. Does anyone know if this is an Android Pie bug or OxygenOS or something? The day after my phone arrived they came out with the deal which meant I could have got the wireless Bullets as well for only ~$19 more than I paid. I asked OnePlus chat support if they'd let me order the Bullets for the price difference and they told me it's not possible. | Posted: 04 Feb 2019 11:44 PM PST Hi all, I have a problem with the stock alarm app on my 5T. When my alarm goes off, I get the option to snooze or turn off the alarm (Duh) . But sometimes no matter which option I choose the alarm sound keeps playing at high volume. I mean, this does help me get up earlier than I need to. But the only way to make the sound stop is reboot my phone, which seems a bit too much. Anyone had this problem before? Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||

Up until about a week ago my 5T has been working perfectly find on my WiFi. I started having problems with it recently though. To break it down, my phone works on WiFi everywhere, except my home WiFi. Data also works fine. In addition to this, all other devices work fine with the home WiFi, except my phone. I have tried resetting it all, restarting devices, forget network, all of that stuff and the problem persists. The thing is that sometimes it begins to work on the WiFi just fine, but it never lasts for long and I end up going on my data or my PC. I've not seen any patterns on when it works and when it doesn't. What could be the cause of this? It seems to be a problem persisting particularly between my phone and my router. It came out of nowhere with absolutely nothing changed. What else is there to try? EDIT: what's interesting is that while my internet is not working on my phone right now through WiFi, but is on my PC.. I use an app called space desk which lets you turn your phone into a second monitor for the PC. This app connects through WiFi. So Im connected to the WiFi on my phone and PC, the app is reading that there is a PC on the same network and I connect and the app is viewing a second screen extension to my PC display. But internet only works on my PC and not my phone. Would this mean it's something to do with the router hating my phone perhaps? [link] [comments]  | ||

For first two weeks I thought it's just by accident or just accidently pressed (I use only cellular data for internet), but after this long time it is clear it goes on by itself. | Oneplus 5, charging problem, help? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 02:08 AM PST Hello all. I have a OnePlus 5 since it came out. The fast charging is great, but my phone no longer does this over the past few months. Only when I really push in the charger to the phone, but even then it goes back to normal charging. I tried to clean out the connection on both the phone and on the usb cable with some compressed air in a can and also carefully tried to clear our any gunk with a toothpick. Got a tiny bit of dirt out. Still the same, have to push it in but connection for fast charge drops out still and goes back to normal charge. Is there anything else I could do? Anything else I should use? I'd be wary of using rubbing alcohol as it's such a tiny opening and very hard to see in the connection. Have a fear of breaking one of the little wires so want to be very careful. Any help with this is greatly appreciated! Thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||
