I just bought my Galaxy S10+ [AMA]

    Posted: 25 Feb 2019 08:15 AM PST

Hey guys, I just bought my Samsung Galaxy S10+ a couple of minutes ago!

Here is the AMA proof! There is also my Purchase Receipt proving that I bought it today!

I'm in a small country in South America, and I just entered in a major electronics retail here in the region and I was able to purchase the new S10 like another product in the store, none of that March 8 official release date stuff here!

Also I saw other people buying the S10 on the store where I bought it.

and YES this is the Retail Version, none of that show-off phones, or engineer samples...

I'm super super excited about my new gadget, I really thought that I would only be getting it by March 8!

Also is there a website where I can upload some raw samples straight out of the camera?

Shoot the questions, I'm all yours today!

    EDIT 1:

Here's the RAW Camera Samples (I'm gonna update this folder as it goes)

    EDIT 2:

    PC MARK Benchmark

    ANDROBENCH Benchmark

    Geekbench 4

    EDIT 3:

All the accessories inside the box are Black (my S10+ it's the Black model also)

Pics of the phone, since it's black and you guys are interested about this color

    EDIT 4:

How long doest it take to charge using the brick/cable that comes in the box?

------It took 1 HOUR 19 MINUTES to go from 21% all the way to 100%!

------I notice that to go from 21% to mids-75 ishh... it was SUPER FAST, then it slowed down a bit, but still fast

------using both the cable and brick that comes in the box!

------wifi enable with notification popping up all the time!

------please remember that this phone has a 4100mh

    EDIT 5:

New Screenshot Animation (kinda cool I think)

Xiaomi cheats in the DxOMark video test for Mi 9

    Posted: 25 Feb 2019 10:34 AM PST

DxOMark only tests the default setting of smartphone cameras. The Xiaomi Mi 9 sent to DxOMark records 4K video by default and thus DxoMark tests its video quality at 4K resolution. This gives Mi 9 a distinct advantage in the texture and detail department over other smartphones whose video quality is tested at default 1080P. That is the reason Mi 9 achieves the best score for Video we have seen so far. According to the review by DxOMark, " The Mi 9's excellent video score is party due to the fact that the Xiaomi is the first phone we have tested that records video at 4K resolution by default. This gives the device a distinct advantage in the texture and detail department. "

But the retail unit of Mi 9 records only 1080P by default, same as other smartphones. It is absolutely cheating. This video shows Mi 9 currently sold at Xiaomi store in China records 1080P by default. But it is in Chinese. https://youtu.be/9IGu703N5lg?t=670
