Why Spotify getting so bad on android ? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 02:22 AM PST Since I am using Spotify (more or less for 4 years now) I have the feeling that their app is getting less and less user friendly. There a few features that they removed, never have implemented, just make no sense or hidden:
Moreover, the app is so slow (I have a one plus 6t so it should at least be able to run smoothly on this device), by slow I mean that it takes the same charging time on my huawei p9 then on my 6t. However I guess all those missing/hidden features are purposely implemented the way they are but can someone explain why they took does decisions ? Thanks in advance Edit: As some of you told me you can search into playlists and organise them. So, my question is, what's the point of "hiding" it ? Edit 2: I am not saying the app is bad, I am just wondering if I am the only annoyed by the app. [link] [comments] |

Is there an app or game that helps older people adapt to using touch phones? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 11:55 AM PST I had a couple of situations where I had to help learn older people get used to touch phones. This is not as intuitive to them as I initially thought or as it might seem to younger generation that is by now used to it. Tapping a visual button is not really an issue, but swiping or performing other gestures like pinch to zoom can be really hard to understand or even try in most cases. They just don't do anything if there is no visual sign that requests them do do it. And the lack of feedback can be confusing also. Is there an app (maybe a game) that would gradually guide them to get used to all possible interaction methods with a touch screen? [link] [comments] |
So I have $13 in Play credit, what paid apps would you recommend? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 10:38 AM PST I've been doing the Google rewards for a while and I've saved up a decent amount but don't know what to use it on. What apps would you guys say are absolutely worth the money? I am using an old Galaxy S3 though, so keep that in mind, please. [link] [comments] |
The Outlook app cuts off emails Posted: 03 Jan 2019 12:24 PM PST I've used the Outlook app for a while now, and lately it has been cutting of emails. This seems to be happening on mobile data as well as wifi. Any idea how to fix it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 08:29 AM PST I'm looking for the best ad-free QR code scanning app. I know that ZXing Team's Barcode Scanner supposed to be the best, but it drives me mad that I can only use it in landscape mode, and not in portrait. I also know about Google Lens and it is even built into the stock camera app on my OP6 but its slow and I can't read WIFI login codes with it. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Looking for an alternative to the official Twitter app. Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:40 AM PST Looking for an alternative to the official Twitter app. It seems that Twitter filters so many people I follow, I have to go to their page to see new tweets. Then the contant adds for the same company over and over even though I tag the add as not useful etc. Trying out TwitPane, but looking for other recs. I looked at reviews but when I check out the PlayStore, many get crap user reviews....problems etc. Don't need much as I only tweet, retweet and reply to people. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 03:57 AM PST Hey, Today someone recommended me an app called Drift Music. This app is basically a free no-ads Spotify with copyrighted songs. I find it really strange how an app like this can pay artists and make a profit without some shady practice (selling user's info or using phones to crypto mining). The app is available only to Android devices (search Drift Music in the Play Store). For what I gather, it seems this is a new app from an old one called Magma. Not sure about that last info. Someone know or use this app? What are your opinions about it? [link] [comments] |
Recommendations for decent strategy games on Android? No pay to win crap. Posted: 03 Jan 2019 02:06 AM PST Real time or turn based. Looking for something to play during commutes. On PC I like StarCraft, Supreme Commander, Civilization, not sure if something similar but just to give an idea I guess. Willing to try something new so long as it's good and not pay to win. I generally find mobile games to be shallow. Something that requires at least a moderate amount of thinking I would say. [link] [comments] |
Mau King - A free card game, multiplayer, featuring Mau Mau / Crazy 8's. Posted: 03 Jan 2019 09:22 AM PST Hi everybody, finally I hope we found the right channel to present this app, we're an micro indie company and places like this are of great value for presenting our little game. As the title says, "Mau King" features Mau Mau / Crazy 8's, i.e. you want to get rid of all your cards first and you win! Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mauking3 (has screenshots there) It is a "freemium" - you get free coins/chips every day, with which you can play, and you can buy more if you want. The primary goal is to grow your rank with experience that you get with each game won. Games are played in rooms of 2 and 5, in single-round and tournament mode, and Facebook-friend groups can play. A lot more to say, but please see the screenshots at the Play Store, install it and play - How do you like it, what features do you miss most? Also please share and play with your friends :) Thanks for all feedback <3 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 12:40 PM PST Hey fellow Androids - NimbleThor here, an active contributor over on r/AndroidGaming :) I do a weekly post over there with tl;dr recommendations of the 5 mobile games I played last week, and this video is a look back at the over 200 mobile games I have played in 2018. Tried to pick my favorites - which do you think should've won? Watch the Award Show Video for all 44 amazing nominated games (YouTube Link) Best Singleplay Roleplaying Game: Vampire's Fall: Origins Google Play: Download Best MMORPG / MOBA: Oldschool Runescape Google Play: Download Best Platformer / Siderscroller: Lost Socks: Naughty Brothers Google Play: Download Best Shooter Game: Battlelands Royale Google Play: Download Best Sports / Racing Game: Golf Battle Google Play: Download Best Casual / Puzzle Game: Hexa Knot Google Play: Download Best Multiplayer Experience: PUBG Mobile Google Play: Download Best Art Direction: Battle of Titans Google Play: Download Best Indie Game: Major Mayhem 2 Google Play: Download Game of the Year: Survival Heroes Google Play: Download P.s. I hope you'll just be able to enjoy the show and that the winners are all based on my subjective opinion of the free to play games I actually played myself this year. You might like different games, and that's perfectly fine too. There's plenty of games for everyone. [link] [comments] |

Is there a free alarm app in which you can turn the alarm off by your voice? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:27 AM PST Instead of getting up and switching it off. I want a free app that will listen to your voice and you can say "switch off" and "snooze". [link] [comments] |
Is it safe to uninstall Google app? Posted: 02 Jan 2019 11:10 PM PST Mi A1 phone. Before updating to Pie, I didn't realise that the Google app can be uninstalled. Recently, I recd an update from the play store and as you can see in the link there's an UNINSTALL option. I don't have any use of this app from google, and until now, I thought this was one of those default apps from google that can't be uninstalled. My question: Is it safe to uninstall that particular Google app from the phone? Are there any cons of uninstalling it? [link] [comments] |

Suggestions wanted - Good apps for simple data input and graph making Posted: 03 Jan 2019 08:49 AM PST So I'm looking for an app where I can put in data (e.g. temperature or humidity) and get a nice line graph output out of it. The app should already know the time and date so I wouldn't have to input it every time. Basically I'm looking for what Google Fitness does but instead of weight I can input whatever numbers I want. Posted: 03 Jan 2019 08:24 AM PST I went into settings and made sure my search engine was set to Google but everytime I do a search on the top bar in chrome its still bringing up bing. Any know fixes for this? I've already googled (and binged) my problem but every fix is for the desktop version. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Jan 2019 02:07 AM PST Hello everyone, I am looking for app that can make another app screensaver. For example after 30s timeout i want to show some web page on Chrome. It is possible? If not, are there any other ways to simulate this behaviour? Thank you in advance [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 03:36 AM PST I've tried a bunch of sketchy looking apps already with no luck. I was hoping VLC for Android would have frame-by-frame but I guess not (must be a pc thing). Any help is appreciated! [link] [comments] |
How to auto purchase all the 'now free' apps? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:11 AM PST I have AppSales app which shows which apps are on sale and are now free. But I have to tap each icon and then another button to purchase every app. There's usuially 30-40 free apps every two days so it's kinda tedious. Can I automate this more? Open to ideas! Of course ideal would be to have an app where I tap one button and it auto-purchases all now-free apps, so I can download them whenever I want. A bonus would be to have this work on multiple accounts but that's very much out of the picture for now! [link] [comments] |

How in the name of god SHAREit still maintain good rating? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 02:49 AM PST This app become really shitty with its bloated ads and videos it really shame that i can't even convince a single one to convert to another app. By the way i tried Mi Drop since it doesn't have ads but it's slow as fuck when sending or searching.
