Does anyone know where I can purchase replacement parts for the HTC U12+? I'm pretty sure I need a new power button sensor, but I cannot find any parts except the rear glass and screen. The employee at uBreakiFix could not find any either, and I would be he know better where to search than I do. Hoping the Reddit hivemind can help, or perhaps there is a Taiwanese website that sells parts?

Need Help With a Simple HTC U12+ Test

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 03:52 PM PST

TL;DR - Can you turn your U12 on with the volume buttons or by plugging in?

If you have seen my last two posts, you would now know that the power button on my HTC U12+ has stopped functioning. I would like to avoid sending my phone in for a warranty repair for now, but I'm afraid if my phone dies or shuts off I won't be able to turn it back on.

If there are any U12 owner's out there who would be willing to test a couple simple things I'd be greatly appreciative. I would need you to shut down your phone or let the battery run out and then see if you are able to turn your phone on without the power button. I feel like I may have turned mine on in the past with the volume down button, but I cannot remember for sure. The second option I'm thinking may work is simply plugging it into a charger. I know some phones will turn on if they are off and you plug them in. Obviously I can't test these things myself without risking turning my phone into a brick.
