    Hey everyone!

RTX laptops are finally here! Are you excited, disappointed, mixed? Either way we have new gpus and lots of new chassis gaming laptops that have finally arrived.

One note of advice as usual is that if you aren't in a rush, it's often a good idea to wait until the first wave of users receive their machines. Issues that a specific review unit may not encounter could become apparent early on if a laptop has any major issues.

    Post your thoughts below!

Are there are gaming laptops that have long battery lives when performing non-taxing tasks?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 06:08 PM PST

    * **Total budget and country of purchase:**

I don't have a specific budget in mind right now, but I was thinking about a laptop around/under $1200.

    Country of purchase: USA

    * **Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.**

I'm not really interested in a 2-in-1 form factor laptop. I would like to find some balance between good battery life and good specifications for the money.

    * **How important is weight and thinness to you?**

    Not very important.

    * **Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.**

    Windows

    * **Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.**

    N/A

    * **Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.**

    Gaming.

    * **If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?**

For most games, I'd be fine with low-to-mid range settings. I'm also fine with 30 FPS, but not too far below that.

    * **Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?**

Obviously I would like a keyboard that's at least decent, but I'm not picky. I would love a laptop with great build quality, since my current laptop is shitting the bed (the hinges are broken, the bezel is falling off, the casing is broken). I don't care if the laptop has the rest of the features or not, but maybe I'd prefer a laptop without an optical drive, since I hardly ever use discs.

In need of an inexpensive laptop or tablet that can run Lightroom. 13" or smaller, USA, <$1000.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 01:12 AM PST

Im going to be in SE Asia for 6 weeks and will be doing a lot of photography. I would really like to edit my photos on the go, but a laptop or tablet wasnt in my budget for the trip, so if I do it, it will have to be cheap. No more than $1000, but I would prefer half that if possible. I prefer good specs for the money, im not worried about not staying charged up. Its gotta be relatively light and thin, no bigger than 13" screen. It just has to run Photoshop Lightroom on Windows, thats it.

    Thanks in advance.

Compact, thin & light laptop for Machine Learning and Deep Learning

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 03:26 AM PST

I am planning to buy a laptop for my University/Personal ML and DL projects.

    • Total budget and country of purchase:

    2500 EUR, Denmark/Germany

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.

No need for 2-in-1, but battery life is important together with solid build quality and good cooling management.

    • How important is weight and thinness to you?

Very important, the less the better, but max 2 kg, as I will travel a lot.

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.

    Windows or Linux

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

Max 15.6", the less the better

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

Planning to run Machine Leaning and Deep Learning computations. I'm not playing games. Will only use DL librarise such as Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Preferably good keyboard for coding, together with good touchpad and solid build quality (all of that is present on my Lenovo X1, but lacks graphics card). No need for finger print or sd card. Can live fine with few USB ports and HDMI.

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

The main requirements are a decent GPU (I dont need the computations done within 1 min, Im fine waiting for 10 or 20, so no need for newest RTX cards, but something like 1070 GTX would be preferred). Long battery life while not using GPU, thin bezels, max 2kg, good thermal management, good keyboard, touchpad and decent build quality.

    1. I was looking into AERO15X, but read a review that their thermals are far from being good.
    2. GS65 Thin is a good offer, but one of the video reveals it's spongy backside of the scree, so build quality is so-so.
    3. Have also seen Razer Blade 15, but dont know anything about them so far.
    4. Dell XPS15 looks fine, but offers 1050Ti only.
    5. Lenovo X1 Extreme would be fine, except its' thermals and 1050Ti.

Any suggestions that may help me to decide on that?

all-rounder laptop that will last me for the next 4-5years?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 02:46 AM PST

    Hey,

I am looking for a laptop that will last me for the next 4-5 years as i complete my university degree and travel a bit.

    • Total budget and country of purchase: Ideally looking to spend 1000-1500AUD. But would be able to stretch to 2000 if it is highly recommend. Australia

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Good Battery Life

    • How important is weight and thinness to you? Not very important.

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows. But would be willing to try others if recommended.

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A - would actually like peoples opinions on this. Does a smaller screen increase battery performance? Does it make the build quality worse?

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. No gaming, other than things like hearthstone - which virtually anything can run. Minimal video editing of videos from my travels into vlog formats.

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? N/A

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Good build quality is ideal and a nice keyboard would be preferred. Something i can still plug a usb and hdmi directly into would also be ideal. Not to fussed on touch screens, finger print readers or super high resolution screens.

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. N/a

Need a laptop for $200-$300. What's the best I can do?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:48 PM PST

I plan to do some gaming with it, and potentially bring it to classes. What should I get?

    • Total budget and country of purchase:

$300, 200 and under preferred, in the US

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.

I would prefer the best specs I could get for the money, with a good battery life if possible

    • How important is weight and thinness to you?

Kinda important, I would like to be able to bring this places, but if it's heavy and thick then I won't be too annoyed

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.

    I'd prefer windows or linux

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

    N/A

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

I plan on doing some gaming. Games I'd like to play on this include Civ VI, Dwarf Fortress, and Dark Souls remastered

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

Minimum settings don't bother me, and I understand if a budget build couldn't handle it, but I'd like 60FPS. Dwarf Fortress is pretty demanding too, so if there's an option with a more powerful single thread CPU, I'd prefer that

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Touchpad quality isn't a big deal, but I'd like a nice keyboard, and good build quality. No touch screen would be a definite plus. Other peripherals don't really interest me

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I'm guessing that at this low of a budget there aren't really many whacky looking laptops, and if there is one that performs well I'd still like to see it, but I'd definitely prefer a plain look

This laptop will be my daily driver. I have been using a 2011 MBP but am not biased with the MacOS. I am open to other suggestions outside of MBA 2018 and SL2. I am hoping for a laptop that I can use for 4/5+ years, so I do have some concerns with the SL2 given its 0 score on repairability. I'm not too sure on how often hardware/software issues can occur with the SL2 but I am open to purchase extended warranty if need be.

    Thanks in advance!

A list of all laptops with RTX laptop's with there benchmarking (Frequently updated)

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:39 AM PST

If deciding what gaming laptop to get wasn't hard enough nvidia just decided to lead us in circles .

The new RTX powered laptop's will be available today but before I start listing them out you need to know some things first :

    • 1- Just a couple of days ago nvidia released the full specs of those cards only to find out that the clock speed of the Max Q versions is ~50% of the desktop version and and the non-Max Q version ~ 75% of the desktop version that doesn't necessary mean that they will give 50% and 75% of the desktop performance because there are other factors like the CUDA Cores, Memory Speed, Memory Interface Width and Memory Bandwidth GB/sec which all stay the same as the desktop versions .
    • 2- Most of those laptops are simply a refreshed version of laptops that are already on the market except the new Dell G5 and G7, MSI GS75 (have high hope for this one with three fans),Alienware area 51 and Asus rog mothership .

    • 3- Almost all of those laptop have the I7-8750H CPU and 16GB of RAM .

Now why it's harder to choose a laptop with RTX GPU ?

Well the full specs that nvidia announced says that the power usage of the RTX 2080 is anywhere from 80W to 150+W, that is a huge range even if it's between the full version and the Max Q version and it looks like that each manufacturer will decide how much power to push based on how the laptop can handle the heat and power of those cards, meaning we can have big performance difference between two laptops with RTX 2080 cards in them.

So I will try to collect all the data I can and make this list of most of the available RTX laptop's with benchmarks, you could help me decide which benchmark to use in the comparison

bookmark this post as I will be updating it with the available laptops and their performance once the benchmarks are available.

Almost all of the laptops will be using the I7-8750H CPU with 16GB of RAM so I will not include those on the list to keep it simple

Friend/Sister looking for laptop with similar reasons. $600 budget, anything better than refurbished XPS 13?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:40 PM PST

    • Total budget and country of purchase:

    $600, USA

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.

Good battery life and best specifications are the important aspects. Don't want a two in one, as I need a laptop.

    • How important is weight and thinness to you?

    Not super important.

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.

    Windows.

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. Above 13 inches.

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

Nope, strictly school/work. Programs like excel/office and such for business or Microsoft for school, with netflix on the side(but any laptop can do netflix).

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

    N/A.

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

    No specific requirements.

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I don't know much, but so far I've come to the conclusion of getting a refurbished XPS 13 9360 for $536. The price isn't an easy. What I want to know is if anyone knows of a better laptop for that price range?

Gaming Laptop that's also ideal for college?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 10:58 AM PST

Hey guys, I know there's a lot of gaming laptop posts and posts for college laptops, but I'm really struggling to find the perfect laptop that fulfills both needs.

The only laptop that I love 100% is the MSI GS65 Stealth but I just can't justify that price tag because I'm not a hardcore gamer. I'll most likely just be playing Sims, GTA 5, and XCOM. Are there any cheaper alternatives to that laptop?

Total budget and country of purchase: Max budget would be around $1100, willing to go slightly higher. USA.

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Definitely need good battery life.
    • How important is weight and thinness to you? Since it's for college, I would prefer it to be lightweight and portable.
    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows
    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A
    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. -Just gaming and schoolwork
    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Sims, GTA 5, XCOM.
    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Not opposed to touch screen but I had a touch screen laptop (Lenovo) and it wasn't really useful.
    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Also want to add, while I would prefer a laptop that doesn't scream "gaming", I might make an exception.

Looking for laptop 2lbs or less, $300 or less

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 11:20 PM PST

Not sure if this exists. Broke my mac laptop and looking for something cheap to replace it asap. Was planning to get a chromebook but now wondering if there is maybe a laptop that fits my needs.

    • 2 lbs or less (this ones a strict requirement)
    • $350 or less (sorry forgot to change title of post)
    • any size screen is fine as long as the first 2 requirements are met
    • windows (mac would be great but assuming my price range doesnt exist)
    • would consider refurbished
    • plan to use it for the internet (random browsing and also educational stuff)
    • plan to use it for ms word, excel, pdfs
    • watching videos for educational purposes
    • watching videos for entertainment purposes or listening to music (not very important to me)
    • not super concerned with memory because I have an external hard drive.

Cant think of any other specifications I need. Lightweight is extremely important for me but also dont want to spend a lot of money. Let me know if anything like this exists. Thanks.

So are the OP walmart laptops not coming back?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:20 PM PST

Just been doing some browsing for my laptop. Stumbled on this one for 799. Good specs for the price obviously. Read some reviews. Saw it got an approval from linus on youtube. So i thought ok let's see whats going on with it. Go to Wal-Mart site. Out of stock. Go to store. Out of stock. How do i get one. They dont know. Call the customer service. Ask if or when they will be back in stock. Lady says she found it in the system but they dont have a date but if its still listed on the site it will be re stocked at some point. If you google the laptop it shows up on the site but says out of stock. If you use the actual search bar on the app or site it doesnt show up.

I know it's not the greatest laptop and yes its walmart but based on other deals and specs it comes off as a steal. So basically....

    TLDR

Is this thing coming back or what?

    High-end 2 in 1 or Gaming Laptop

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:07 PM PST

Sorry if I make any mistakes, this is my first post in a long time.

I recently bought an [hp spectre x360 13.](https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c06190261)

I bought it for about $1450 CAD (~$1640 after taxes) in a bundle that came with a 3 year extended warranty.

It has great specs (advertised with battery up to 22.5 hours, when I use it it has about a 10 hour battery life with decent brightness), design and colours which I love. However ever since I received it one month ago, I have been coming across problems every week of which I solve every time (so far I have had to reset it twice), and so I have decided to either exchange it, **or** return it and buy a laptop with a better graphics card. I was hoping to get advice on this decision as well.

I did do some research on my own as to which laptop I should get if I do return the Spectre and I like these two so far, I am just not sure what else is available.

    [Dell G5 15 inch](https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/dell-laptops-netbooks-and-tablets/dell-g5-15-gaming/spd/g-series-15-5587-laptop/ni155587_sb_h604e)

    [Lenovo Legion Y530 15 inch](https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en//laptops/legion-laptops/legion-y-series/Lenovo-Legion-Y530-15ICH/p/81LBCTO1WWENCA0)

    * **Total budget and country of purchase:**

a little above $1500 in Canada

    * **Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.**

Best specifications for the money as well as a good design and build

    * **How important is weight and thinness to you?**

I would prefer it to be thin, but it doesn't really matter and I would like to keep the weight at a max of 5 pounds

    * **Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.**

    Definitely Windows

    * **Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.**

Nothing less than 13 inches and nothing bigger than 15.6 inches

    * **Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.**

I usually play some indie games (like don't starve together and castle crashers) as well as games similar to assassins creed and Batman Arkham series

    * **If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?**

Same as above maybe even Tomb Raider

    * **Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?**

I was hoping to go for dedicated graphics of gtx 1060 or even rtx 2060 (if it fits in the budget). Also at least an intel 8th gen core preferably i5, maybe even i7 (if it also fits the budget)

    * **Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.**

I recently bought an external SSD so storage isn't much of a problem except that I would prefer to be a solid state drive (SSD)

    Thank you fellow Redditors!

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. Preferably between 13 in and 15 in (smaller is better)

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? I will not be gaming on the device.

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Good Keyboard, reliable build quality and touch screen are most important. Also, a 1440p Monitor would be great, but I don't know if that is in my budget.

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I have already looked at the Lenovo Yoga C930, but I am not sure about it's build quality and keyboard, the Surface Laptops seem to have so much better keyboards. I am unsure which one of these is the right one for me, or if I should get a totally different laptop. Oh and having the thing not thermal throttle all the time would be great (:

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. She was very amendment about a touch screen. Battery life will be quite important aswell, There's some days for chemo where she'll be there for several hours either in the trip there and back or actually waiting for medication.

    • How important is weight and thinness to you? Doesn't matter.

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. My mother said about gaming, I don't believe it would be anything like Battlefield V, or PubG and such. • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? See above.

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? I want a touch screen Me:What all do you want it to-do? Her:Lots of storage and play cd's dvds and run pretty fast you know the basics maybe play games too Me: I'll take a look around. Full keyboard, and what kind of weight were you looking for Her: 15" or bigger full keyboard weight doesn't matter Touch screen preferable

Need a cheap work laptop. What can I get?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 10:20 PM PST

I'm looking for the most economical laptop for work to support my main machine (iMac) when I want to hotdesk, work outside etc. Most of my work would be done in Chrome.

    • Total budget and country of purchase: As cheap as possible, ideally around the 300 mark. I'm in NZ.
    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Battery life would be the most important from these.
    • How important is weight and thinness to you? I'll be walking with it fairly often, so not too heavy.
    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Not fussed, any is fine.
    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. Bigger than 11 or 12" preferably. 1080p preferably.
    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. No gaming or video editing. Maybe the occasional light Photoshop work but that would be all.
    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? None.
    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? None.
    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I expect the right buy will be a used or ex-lease machine, which is fine - maybe with a SSD upgrade.

$1500 laptop for Interior design/ gaming?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 08:55 PM PST

    • Total budget and country of purchase: $1500ish and in the USA

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Best specifications for the money

    • How important is weight and thinness to you? Not particularly important

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15" or 17"

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. This is its primary purpose- I will be using Autocad, Revit, sketchup, and Archicad

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? I've been playing exclusively on PS4, so I don't have a good answer as far as settings/ FPS but I would like to be able to play games such as Over watch and God of War

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? A good keyboard, but a lot of the time I'll be using a mouse

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I am hoping to get something that I won't feel like is obsolete in a couple of years. Ultimately the design purpose is more important than gaming but I think I should be able to get something that can do both. I have a little wiggle room on my budget a touch if need be. I plan on buying within the next week.

Perfect laptop for IT student? ($900 budget,14 inch max,USA)

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 04:58 PM PST

    • Total budget and country of purchase: $900-$950 after taxes is my budget since I need to save money to pay for classes. Located in the USA
    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. I want something that has decent battery life (7-10 hours). 2 in 1s don't matter as long as it's actually worth the money. Something that doesn't lag and has a nice HD resolution.

    • How important is weight and thinness to you? I want something portable and light since I'm going to be bringing it with me every single day.

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. -Windows

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. Something from 12.9-14 inches would be nice.

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I just need something to run basic programs used in IT and needs to also run Mircrosoft word, excel and PowerPoint smoothly as well.

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Won't be used for games but if anything, casual games would be nice to run. (Fortnite,CIV)

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Smooth keyboard and reliable build quality is a must. I want it to run for a couple years at least.

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I'm not to sure about anything laptop related tbh. I keep seeing the Acer Swift 3 and the Lenovo Yoga laptops being recommended but I want to know if they're really ideal for me and I want to see my other options.

University Student in need of a laptop

    Posted: 29 Jan 2019 08:33 PM PST

    • Total budget and country of purchase: $800 CAD & Canada
    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Good battery life (longer the better) and best specifications for the money are most important. 2 in 1 form would be a nice addition but absolutely is not necessary.
    • How important is weight and thinness to you? Very important
    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows
    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. Around 14 inches
    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Coursework and some light gaming, nothing overly serious, mainly casual and strategy games.
    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Starcraft 2 story mode primarily, about medium settings or better at a decent FPS. Celeste as well.
    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touch-pad)? Reliable build quality and good keyboard are essential. Finger-print reader would be a plus. Touchscreen not necessary.
    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Above else, portability and size are the most important factors for me. I take the transit to and from school, I would prefer not to carry around a heavier laptop. Also I do prefer laptops with smaller bezels.
