[DEV] Dunegon Scout - A text-based dungeon explorer. Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:01 AM PST Hi! I'm a student making games with one of my friends (http://fantailgames.com/). We've just polished up one of our games, Dungeon Scout. It's a text-based Dungeon explorer game, where you interact with NPCs solving riddles, fighting monsters, and dodging traps. Along the way, you find coins that can be used to purchase a shield, armour and more items from the merchant. The game is free (and without ads). We hope you enjoy and leave some feedback/bugs. Google Photos: how to separate WhatsApp backup pictures from my photos? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:29 AM PST So here's the question: I have WhatsApp images folder ticked to do backup of all the pictures, but when I open Google Photos all WhatsApp pictures are in the same place as my photos (taken with camera). Is there a way to separate these two? The only solution I found so far is to search for "wa" images and then archive them, but it doesn't seem the best thing to do everytime honestly. Any advice? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 01:21 AM PST Hey Guys, I'm an Auntie and do not parent my nephew just to give some context, however, he lives with us and we pay the comcast bill. He mentioned to me some weeks ago that instead of using the play store, because he was only able to get trial versions or not full versions of games, that he was using an alternative to play store which allowed him to download full versions of games. It did raise some red flags with me, and I suspected these versions would be riddled with monetized adverts, but I felt it wasn't any of my concern, I'm not his parents and if he was willing to deal with the ads, then what was it to me? Today I got a notice stating that we had used up our data limit for our cable internet (in my area Comcast CA, we get 1 terabyte/month) This is very unusual for us to reach so I looked up on the comcast site and it said that his phone is responsible for 30% of all data on our network. To give context, this child is in school from 9-3 m-f whereas I'm home all day every day (I work from home) and I don't even come close to his bandwidth accumulation. More context, his parents are apple people and not tech savvy at all but they purchased a lower end android for him for Christmas. Whilst I believe they should be keeping a better eye on his activities on the device and him in general (that's another story), I know that even if they were, them being apple people, they wouldn't understand anyway. Is it possible this rogue app store has given him games that mine for bitcoin or other bandwidth consuming activities? Has anyone heard of such an application? I've never had his phone in-hand so if I get the chance I'd like to have some sort of idea what i'm looking for, if possible. FWiW I've banned his phone from the network for the time being, until we can figure out what's going on. lol, let him on 4g and let his parents deal with the overages, we're certainly not anymore. Thanks for any information/advice you guys can give me! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:27 AM PST I want to replace the ugly dialer app that came with my phone. Exdialer seems to be the best option. Has anyone had any security issues with it? [link] [comments] |
Moon Reader Pro Book Covers full of aliasing? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:54 AM PST Anyone know why this is? https://i.imgur.com/9T51EuW.png Heres a screenshot for rough reference, but of course it doesn't truly capture the problem like it is on my tablet. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:06 AM PST When I want to visit a new city, I make a list about places to visit. So.. when I write the names of the places in that app, it will give me the route, so I will know which places are closer and where can I go on the same day. Do you know a good app like that? Thank you and sorry for my English. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 06:45 AM PST Since today, all my apps cloned with Parallel Space crashed when opening, including Facebook, Messenger, and LINE. I've tried reinstalling, clear data, clear caches, restart the phone, but it doesn't work. Is anyone here face the same problem? [link] [comments] |
Any non VPN alternative to the firewall AFWall+? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:49 AM PST Ok, I've been using AFWall+ for quite a few months but it's been increasingly buggy recently. At least once a week, it blocks all my internet connection after which I have to open the app, disable firewall & re-enable to allow internet connection. This process of applying rules can take an entire minute & I'm getting frustrated of it. I tried searching for an alternative but all I got was VPN based non root firewalls. Since I use a VPN all the time, I can't use those. Few years ago, there were more choices when it came to root firewalls like Root Firewall Pro & DroidWall but all of them are now abandoned. Any more left that work properly? [link] [comments] |

Google Play Music channel list empty Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:36 AM PST Hi! The Google Play Music app has completely stopped showing, well, anything on the search channels page. The tabs for genre, activity and mood are still there, but they're empty. Does anyone happen to know what could have caused this? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:30 AM PST I've been looking for answers for a few days now on this annoying issue I have with aCal. It seems to only sync one way: Google Calendar online to aCal is fine and syncs immediately but creating events on aCal won't automatically sync to my Google account unless I manually sync. Any fix? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Whatsapp not working on university wifi Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:03 AM PST So I've been noticing things for last few months but when I'm connected to my uni's wifi WhatsApp doesn't work. And sometimes randomly it might even start working for a couple of minutes. As soon I switch to data it works again. Everything else works so it's not an internet problem. What could the actual problem be? [link] [comments] |

Any calendar app with "pin on notification bar" option? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 04:08 AM PST The title says pretty the whole thing... I need it to help me organize my time among exams, dates and spare activities. I need it to have a cloud sync feature, possibly (but not coercively) with Google Calendar. And there are many apps with these features. The point is that I need a further feature, id est the possibility to pin any note/to-do onto the notification bar till i manually delete it. I formerly used Fairnote (because i didn't need the calendar feature so much) and it owns this feature, so if i couldn't explain well enough, let's say I'm looking for a fairnote+calendar app... Hope you guys could and would help me!! Thanks! [link] [comments] |

[request] Time-based dynamic note app Posted: 30 Jan 2019 07:30 PM PST Looking for an app that splits into multiple sections, based on categories, and allows for quick entering of notes. Each note should be on its own level, with the time and day submitted next to it. I want to use it to keep track of my progress on shows, movies, and books. Bonus points if it has a widget and an option to add a category picture. Willing to pay. Something like this: https://imgur.com/a/ZXSkIQ5 [link] [comments] |

Backup App before resetting to factory Posted: 30 Jan 2019 02:10 PM PST I'm having connectivity issues, so I'm leaning towards a factory restore of my OnePlus 6. Is there an app that will grab all my data and stick it in Google drive or Dropbox to restore after I reset my phone? Or do I need to do it manually? Thanks [link] [comments] |
