| Cant unroot no matter what I've tried. Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:32 PM PST So I have this phone that is running a custom rom that I believe requires a root. I've made several attempts to unroot. I'm willing to try anything at this point to flash a rom that doesn't require a root. I need to do this so I can use Snapchat which is my main way of contacting people, and I haven't been able to in the past two weeks. I'm willing to take any recommendations and try anything because I'm getting pretty desperate at this point. I believe Super SU is the root on here and it's running something I believe is called Emotion 7.1.2 [link] [comments]  |

It rebooted earlier when it was just sitting on the table and rebooted now when I was halfway through writing a sentence on Google Keep. I assume this is an issue with Android 9, but it may also be an issue with OnePlus? | I dont know what to do with this problem. (A5 2016) Posted: 29 Jan 2019 03:06 PM PST Hi, I have my phone since the release and it always worked well. I was struggling with memory space so I decided to buy a sd card for my phone. As soon as I did, it recognized and worked. Yesterday I was just sitting and watching TV and wanted to check my phone but it refused to boot up to the lockscreen. It rarely boots up to it now but the hardware is working (I used web whatsapp and made a backup of my data). Everytime I press the homebutton or the power button a white light flashes and it closes. The rare cases that it boots up to the display, the display works fine then, no flickering or flashing and the battery charges but as soon as it goes to "sleep" its starts all over again. | What happened to "note to self" in Google Assistant? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:51 AM PST Up until about 3 days ago, I could say, "Ok Google, Note To Self, I am cold", and it would send me an email with "I am cold" in the body. If I wanted to change the app, it gave me the ability to change the destination of the note to Keep, Collateral, TickTick, etc. Now, however, it just says "saving note" and that's it. I can say "show me notes" and it lists my notes (like the ridiculous shopping list), but no ability to change the app. What am I missing? [link] [comments]  |

| Randomly unable to receive calls or texts Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:13 PM PST Unlocked international Samsung galaxy s8+. I am in USA. I am on Ting and I think they use tmobile. I have tried many fixes for these issues that I've been having for a few months. Mainly, not being able to get calls. They mostly go straight to voicemail. Getting texts is also random of I get them at all. A lot of times I will send a text and have to resend it. I have talked to ting customer service 3 times and we have factory ressetted my phone, put in a new sim card, and reset some network setting on their end. But this problem persists that I can't reliably get calls or texts and this is super important because I have many people I need to keep in touch with, obviously. I don't have any apps on this thing that interfere, I even disabled vodaphone apps that came on it but I never had this issue for at least a year of having this phone and service. I'm afraid I might have to go into my boyfriends sprint plan but even then would that fix it? Maybe it's something with my phone? I have also switched to a better wifi since most of the time I am using wifi. [link] [comments]  |

I want to be able to take a picture with the camera app, then somehow use that image as the camera input for Snapchat. I don't want to upload the pictures to Snapchat, I want the pictures to appear as if they were taken with Snapchat. I have no back up or anything like that I just want to browse the phone somehow using my computer. I know it's possible to use vsyor but only if usb debugging is on, I'm not sure it is Is there anything I could do with command line or something? | Mini S4 new motherboard stuck on boot loop and not flashing via odin Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:33 PM PST Hi reddit!, today I received a brand new I9190 motherboard I ordered from Taiwan to replace a sudden death motherboard on my i9195, I don't mind much about LTE etc, notice that I'm from a 8th world country and this stuff is pretty expensive so I can't simple buy a new phone. I installed the new card and the phone went boot loop, recovery shows me kot49h.i9190ubucoj1 for rom, so I downloaded that firmware from sammobile and then tried to flash via odin but it doesn't pass from trying to get pit file message, it did once but it got stucked on flashing aboot.mbn. I also tried flashing TWRP via Heimdall and it did pass, but after removing the battery and going directly in to recovery it didn't bring TWRP... Download mode says this is on Knox enabled 0x0 and write protection enabled, my i9195 didn't have knox so I'm new to this. I also added the .zip file from the package I download to my sd card and tried to flash via recovery but when i go to the external storage part it says that can't read because I/O error or something. Should I try to extract pit file with pitmagic and then go for repartition via odin? or do you have any better advice?, thank you [link] [comments]  |
| Galaxy S7 Active on AT&T, 8.0 messed it up big time Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:30 PM PST Today I updated to Android 8.0.0 on my S7 Active (AT&T). I am having major issues sending and receiving text messages and phone calls. I'll have full bars/4G LTE service but the texts will just sit in limbo and eventually fail to send. Cycling airplane mode usually helps get it sent. I've reset it, I've powered it on and off, I've made sure the update completed entirely. Is this a known issue? But for when im at work and busy with projects i hate having to worry about my phone all the time in terms of that it might fall or get waterdamage. I found out CAT also makes somephones and i love that. So i had my eye on the CAT s41 (5000 mah battery :) ), thing is that it's pretty outdated; micro usb port android 7 ect. Whenever I change the playback speed when watching a video on the app, the audio gets all warbely and sounds awful. This never happened on my old phone. However, now I cannot get any apps to download from the play store, over WiFi or cellular. I've tried:. Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:13 PM PST 10% the time the messages get stuck on reciveing so I'll end up seeing only part of a convo then like randomly I can't receive or send any messages and the only way to fix it is by restarting.
