I've accepted there are no-non-P2W empire builders. How about modern ones?

Like... Clash of Clans, but with guns. Surely someone has thought of this, right? No, I don't mean Boom Beach.

What's the status of Elder Scrolls Blades?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:07 PM PST

It was scheduled for this year from what I've read, however it isn't here yet which is a bit confusing, "Thanks Bethesda!"

Does anyone know what's going on with it?

[REQUEST] Looking for a easy to play game

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 06:53 AM PST

I'm looking for any android game (open to emulators too) that I can play easily - basically I don't want to have to worry about moving around a character. Some examples of this would be:

    • Knights of Pen and Paper
    • Soda Dungeon
    • Dungeon Village
    • The Room (1/2/3)
    • FTL (not on android I know, but would fit if it was)
    • technically idle/clicker games, but unless it's deep without a paywall, I'm not interested in buying currency to advance
    • Lineage 2: Revolution had a mode where you could tell your character to basically "auto quest", so even though there was technically movement, I didn't have to worry about it so much

I'm going to check out "Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis" on a GBA emulator to see if that works well for me. Any other suggestions? As you can see, I favor RPG and puzzle games but I'm open to most genres/themes.

EDIT: I'm using a Note 8 if the hardware is relevant.

    Board Game Recommendation: Morels

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 03:07 PM PST

I did a search on here and couldn't find it mentioned anywhere, so I thought I'd share.

The game is called Morels. It's a light two-player strategy game where you collect mushrooms, cook them, and try to score more mushroom points than your opponent. It's based on the board game which is where I learned of it first, so I was stoked when I saw they made an app.

I haven't spent much time playing the AI or online, so I can't comment too much on that. But it's a lot of fun to play local two player and just hand the phone back and forth to each other.

I'm new to the whole mmorpg scene but I love the idea of games run by the community and I would kill to have something with pvp in it. Any suggestions are welcome

Not just the gameplay, but I want a game with the "farming" just like in POE or even Metin 2.

Controller Inputs are not Being recognized Correctly

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 04:36 PM PST

I own an S9, and have connected a RockCandy Xbox controller to it. However, when I try to use it, certain buttons, like the right analog stick and triggers, have for some reason, swapped inputs. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or remap my buttons across all games?

Has anyone ever tried an IPEGA 9076 with zenfone?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 03:49 PM PST

On the galaxy J6 it works really smooth, but on my zenfone 3 is laggy as hell, has anyone ever experienced this? If so, there is a solution? The analogs are laggy, almost impossible to play anything.

I posted about Mythgard recently - if you haven't checked it out do - and this sub seemed to dig it - wanted to share the first deck building challenge

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 06:27 AM PST

Hope this is okay. We saw a ton of users show up on our site and in Mythgards Discord joining the game and really enjoying it. After talking with a number of new players we decided a deck building challenge would be awesome. So I threw one together and wanted to share it with this group since it seems the most tuned in on the game so far.

Best Gatcha Game Going into 2019?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:18 AM PST

I know that this is a topic that pops in a lot of threads and we occasionally see a post about it. This genre has really evolved over the past year.

I was wondering what games you are still playing? How far can you go until you hit the pay-wall? Which has active communities?

My experience has been mostly with SW and Kings Raid.

Are there any good games similar to King of Thieves

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 06:52 AM PST

Specifically the aspect of saving different layouts to challenge others to beat it? For those who haven't played it, I guess something similar to Mario's balloon world.

Either of the Animus games worth getting?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 02:56 AM PST

So just saw that the first game Animus: Stand Alone is on sale and thought it looked half decent but also saw there's the sequel Animus: Harbinger that had an IAP to unlock the full game. Just wondered if they're both worth picking up, or if there's no point in the first since the second is outright better? I enjoy Dark Souls and Bloodbourne so it looks enjoyable enough, just wanted to hear other opinions.

Top 5 Android Games Worth A Play (January 2019)

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 11:05 PM PST

This very hour my best friend released his first proper game on the Play store! So proud of him, I'd really love if you guys would check it out. And its actually super fun!

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:01 PM PST

For the past few months my friend Dave has been slaving away building his first proper game to release on the play store. This past month he barely got any sleep at all, working all-nighters on the game while still somehow managing to maintain a regular job, and it has shown in how polished he's managed to get it.

I'm super proud of his effort. We've been mates since we were six (24 years now... jeeze), and got into game dev together when we were kids. Unfortunately we never really managed to get into the industry properly, though we absolutely love making games. This time though, he basically said screw it and just went for it with everything he had. I think he really did pull out all the stops, and I'd love to see all his hard work rewarded!

He literally just sent me a text saying that its gone live. Please guys, it would be sooooo amazing if we managed to get this game somewhat trending and out there! I actually believe it has what it takes to go far, but often good games (and the good people that make them) just never get seen and get lost in the ether.

I'd love for him to wake up tomorrow (he's in South Africa and its almost 2am there) and see some people enjoying his hard work already! :)

The game is called Jumpy Fish. Its a kind of skill game where you play as a fish that has to perfectly time its jumps through wooden obstacles to try beat the highest score. It takes a while to master and is quite addictive in its progression - along with unlocks for all kinds of crazy fish that he designed (you'll definitely recognise some of them, I think he did a great job on that front especially).

    Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.RedDawnStudios.JumpyFish

Would love to also hear your feedback, I'll definitely send it his way, or even get him to come respond directly!
