Tried to Surprise my Wife for Christmas but Samsung wouldn’t help me out :( Posted: 27 Nov 2018 07:54 AM PST Sorry if this isn't meant to be posted on here but I just have to vent. I have loved Samsung products and have bought multiple products from them. Well I decided to surprise my wife this Christmas by ordering 4 Kitchen appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave and dish washer) on Samsung.com for their Black Friday sale that is going on. My wife and I have very old and appliances and I wanted to surprise her for Christmas because she dreamed of having new appliances in our home. Well all was going well when I first ordered the products but then I noticed an issue with the refrigerator, the dimensions were not gonna fit in the cutout. I don't know if I measured wrong or read the dimensions wrong but I take responsibility for this error. So my though was " no worries I'll just change my order by calling support". Well I called the order support number and selected the CHANGE ORDER option. I tell the support person my issues and she does some searching and tells me I cannot change the order for a different model # fridge. I said how can that be when you have a CHANGE ORDER option? It doesn't fit my cutout, They said they will speak to their supervisor. No luck, they said they cannot do it and I would have to cancel my order and order it again, I told them I can't do that as that will be over my credit card limit while the other order is being cancelled on the other charge. So it looks like I will be cancelling my order and taking my business elsewhere for new appliances. Plus now my wife will not be getting her present on Christmas this year. So just an FYI if you order of Samsung.com, make sure you have the order right as support cannot change the order Now I will say I was not mad at the support people for this at all as this is most likely a Samsung policy/process that corporate made and I thanked them for their time and help tl;dr Make sure you order correctly the first time as Samsung.com cannot change your order even though they have a CHANGE ORDER option on the support line. One UI Navigation Bar swipe to change apps? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 02:23 AM PST I saw in an early one UI leak that you could swipe the navbar to change apps. Is there feature cut? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Nov 2018 04:31 AM PST My Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) is starting to malfunction. I'm considering buying a new phone the Samsung A7 (2018) for €275. I'm not looking forward for a cutting-edge phone, but I want to feel an improvement over my old A5... I was reading reviews and one thing that worried me was that this phone doesn't have fast charging... And it is helding me back, because it's a very useful feature that I am already used to (my A5 has it)... What do you think about the charging time of this phone? Is there any other viable otpion over this phone? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Nov 2018 02:32 AM PST I am looking for recommendations for a good stylus I can use with my S9. Perhaps I'm in the wrong subreddit, in which case, please redirect me. [link] [comments]

Smart TV Google Play not working Posted: 27 Nov 2018 06:53 AM PST Something seems to be wrong with Google Play. Our family has two Samsung 40MU6300; on both TVs, Google Play has suddenly stopped working. When I click on Google Play, I see the large red Play symbol; however, after it vanishes, the screen simply goes dark and no menu comes up. It's not all Google, as I can access Play on my tablet. It's not the Internet or the TVs , since I can access the YouTube, Netflix and Cineplex apps without problem. It's just the TV version of Google Play that I have problem with. My biggest issue with this is that I've invested in a large 4k collection, and I can't access 4k versions on my tablet. Can anyone help? [link] [comments]
Galaxy Watch impulse purchase, very disappointed. Posted: 26 Nov 2018 08:47 PM PST On Black Friday impulse I purchased a Galaxy Watch to replace my aging Moto 360, figured it would go well with my Note 9. Boy was I wrong. I had not realized what a closed and barren ecosystem the Samsung watches are. Most of the functionality I rely on is just not there and what there is would require I switch to using the Samsung apps on my Note instead of the more functional ones I already use. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to make people use the Samsung SMS app on the phone just to be able to dictate a reply from the watch? It's truly unfortunate, because I think if it ran android this watch would be great, the hardware seems excellent and I like wearing it. But now I've got no choice but to return it and properly research a suitable replacement for my Moto. [link] [comments]

Would you recommend the Galaxy S8 for 400 bucks? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 01:46 AM PST The S8 is on sale right now in Germany (800€ --> 400€). Of course I'm wondering why they're selling it for only half the price. Is the phone known for having a lot of issues? I've read that some people have very short battery life. [link] [comments]
Just shattered my Galaxy Tab S 10.5's screen and it broke my heart. Can it be repaired? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 11:28 PM PST I see nothing about repairs on youtube. The screen still works but the screen is so shattered to the point that it is, in some instances, hard to work with. Minimal use, I could use it but it's just so darn shattered. I've replaced the battery, the micro USB ports on it, but I've never ever dealt with the screen and from what it looks, I doubt it would be easy.... if at all possible. I need advice guys. I've had this since 2015. It's crazy that my transportation job, the years of accidentally dropping it while on transit, and many other things don't break it, but it happens to fall off a ledge in my bathroom onto ceramic tile three years later and it is a damn mess. I wish I didn't wake up in the middle of the night. This never would have happened. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Nov 2018 03:39 AM PST Just a quick question. Should I have both "game mode" and UHD color turned on with my PS4? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Nov 2018 08:03 PM PST Hello. I've had my S8 for 11 months. Today I only used it for 4.5 hours MAX battery life before it died.... this is unacceptable, what the he'll is wrong with it? At one point I didn't touch it for like 20 seconds and it lost 3%?! I've put it onto mid battery saver and lowered the brightness as much as I can and nothing has helped This is so stupid, I need my phone and this was SUPPOSED to be an upgrade from an iPhone 5s... my old iPhone had better battery than this before I have it away wtf [link] [comments]
I bought a note 9 and I have concerns Posted: 26 Nov 2018 03:48 PM PST This is my first android and I'm afraid that I won't like it down the road, I got it for $700 on black Friday so I'm not sure why I'm worried. Am I crazy? [link] [comments]

Bought the 2018 Gear IconX, and I gotta say... Posted: 26 Nov 2018 04:36 PM PST It might be too early for me to fully develop my opinion on the product, but it's pretty damn impressive, given the quality of the sound, the way it fits in my ears, how easily it pairs, how easy it is to control using both the app and the touch gestures, how easy it is to charge, how nice it is to have 3.4 gigs of internal storage, etc. Again, I'm gonna continue using these for the foreseeable future to see if I run into the issues that some other users have been having like diminished volume over time. Overall, though, it's probably one of the most reasonable purchases I've made in a while (I bought it for 130 USD for Black Friday. I'm not quite sure if it's worth the 180 USD it was originally being sold for yet). [link] [comments]
How do I disable Noise Reduction on my Samsung A8? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 12:00 AM PST Everytime I'm in a call, a huge, annoying noise gate is applied to everything. I can't use alarms, youtube's audio sucks and I'm tired of it. As someone in a long-distance relationship, I would greatly appreciate it if I could find a way to disable this. I can't find any documentation about it. On a Samsung Galaxy A8 running the most recent version of Oreo btw. Please help if you can, I'm at my wit's end ;-; [link] [comments]
