Outlook 2016 tutorials for techs anywhere? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 08:07 PM PST Hi all. I'm a new IT tech in my department and I desperately want to learn more about Outlook 2016. I specifically need to learn how shared calendars are supposed to work in Outlook 2016. In previous versions of Outlook, my department would set up a new email address to share among a certain group of users so they could all view the inbox and edit the calendar. We set up groups in AD to grant viewing permission to the correct users, then we could login to the inbox through Outlook Web App and edit permissions further that way. In Outlook 2016, we've lost our ability to login to these shared email inboxes through OWA. Without being able to login to the email address, how can we manage user permissions (besides AD)? I would love to find a really detailed tutorial for Outlook 2016 specifically for technicians, going over all the ins and outs of shared calendars and booking resource rooms. I have a Lynda.com account, but so far I haven't found any relevant videos that are more on the techy side, rather than the user side. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could look? Posted: 27 Nov 2018 06:42 AM PST Let's talk battery safety. We had an incident this morning where are lithium-ion battery went critical. Our tech ended up kicking it out the shop like a soccer ball, and everything turned out okay, but it could have been a lot worse. Does anyone have any kind of lithium battery safety protocols in place? Any special considerations for these little ticking time bombs vs general fire safety? I feel like we should take this as a warning and get ourselves prepared in case it doesn't go so smoothly next time. [link] [comments] |
