    New to Pocophone F1... Notifications not working?

    I apologize if this has been posted before. I have nowhere to turn really. This is my first Xiaomi phone and i really dig it so far. Except for one glaring issue...

    Notifications are borked to hell lol.

    If someone sends me a whatsapp message for example, my phone rings and lock screen wakes up. That is fine.

    BUT, let us say i don't open that notification. Busy working or gaming. I look at my phone, there is NO indication that i ever received a message. No floating icons, no LED lights.. nothing.

    The only way i would know i had a Whatsapp message is by looking for the dots above the whatsapp icon.

    This is REALLY inconvenient and bad :/

    Another notification issue is with the pulldown menu. Usually, with previous android phone, when something happens (downloads, updates, etc), the bar at the top would have a little icon indicating something is happening and if i pull down, i see the download bar or what not. Now, it doesn't show my any indicators. I have to pull down the bar to see it.

    So i have to randomly pull down the bar just to check if i have notifications?

    ​

    I tried fiddling with the settings. I enabled EVERYTHING notification wise. Nothing happens. I am kinda sad about this :(

    I seem to have the latest software version since it says "No Update available" The version is, as the phone says , "MIUI 10.0.4.0 Stable"

    Can anyone help me out? Or is this what i have to expect from now on :/

    Anyone else ever heard/seen this issue? Pulse vibrate on bricked phone

    I'm currently using a Xiaomi Mi A1 and was attempting to flash the latest ROM as i was not getting OTA updates (was stuck on 1st Jan security patch). I ended up hard bricking the phone and cannot boot into anything (no recovery, no bootloader, no OS). Now if i hold the power button the phone will vibrate for about 1/10th of a second, every second. The same occurs when plugged into power and the battery disconnected.

    Has anyone encountered this before? I cannot find any posts on any forums, no information anywhere about it... I've emailed Xiaomi so hopefully they have some insight.

    Also, if you have any ideas on what i could try to un-brick the phone, please let me know :)

    MiUI 10 battery life for Mi Mix 2s

    My battery life has been terrible ever since I jumped to MiUI 10 for the Mi Mix 2s. Anyone else experiencing the same problems? For example, my phone was on standby for 7 hours but somehow drained 12% battery.

    Looking for advice on s50 from long time owners

    Hi all,

    I'm just wondering how long term owners of the s50 find the little robot? Is it still working as good as day 1? Do you have pets? Does it find the dock? etc.

    I'm also wondering if I am able to program the vacuum on the app to avoid a certain area of my house (and to constantly avoid that area, so I do not have to tell the vacuum every time not to go there)

    Does A2 support face unlock ?

    All new phones seem to support it, from mid to high end. A2 is definitely a top tier mid-ranger that should have it, but I don't see it mentioned anywhere.

    Hi all, my Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus turned off itself and I can't turn it on!

    And when I connect the phone to a charger the led indicator blinks!

    App icons on MIUI 10

    Fellow Xiaomi users,

    I am bothered by third party app icons on MIUI 10. They either look too small or too big, so they don't look uniform like the stock apps.

    Is there any way to change the size of third party apps and get the white background back? I know a lot of people hate the white background, but I like it. It makes everything look uniform.

    Microphone on Pocophone is always on

    Hey!

    I dropped my phone (with case on) and since then it thinks the mic is always on which means i cant play videos and people cant hear me when talking(See pictures) .

    The phone is basically useless now but if i could just find someway to disable the mic i could use it with a bluetooth headset.

    Is there a way? My phone is rooted but I still can't find a way

    Always On Display not working AT ALL on Mi 8 (Global version)

    I see a lot of posts on Reddit and other forums that the always on display isn't displaying notifications. However, for me, the AOD isn't working at all. When I enable it and turn off my display, it's just completely black. My battery saver is off. Anyone who can help?

    Can a custom rom change supported GSM frequencies or am I crazy?

    So far I've used either MultiROM or Xiaomi.eu roms on my Xiaomi Mi 4S. I live in Europe and my mobile carrier uses LTE B20 for 4G connection. I bought the phone 2 years ago knowing it won't support that particular frequency, but I didn't care. This morning, I successfully flashed LineageOS 15.1 port from xda. And suddenly it supports that LTE band. Ookla's Speedtest confirms that. How is this even possible, I always thought it's the hardware that determines supported connection?

    EDIT: that rom includes some kernel patch, could it be it?
    EDITT: okay so it seems and I was wrong all along and my carrier actually uses LTE bands 4 and 7, but for some reason all MIUI roms (including china- and devrom and xiaomi.eu and multirom.ru) all block them (?)

    How to get face unlock working on MI 8?

    I've bought a MI 8 global version (I'm in Australia) and loving it. However one spec that isn't as advertised is face unlock as apparently it only works with Chinese ROM if I'm not mistaken.

    Is there any way to get it working?

    I recently bought a Redmi Note 6 Pro 3gb on Gearbest black friday sale. It is my first Xiaomi phone and I did a lot of research on bands before buying. My carrier is AT&T and the 3G bands that they use are B2 and B5 (850 and 1900). The Phone is supposed to support both of those bands but does anyone know for certain if it will work? Kimovil says it supports all 3G AT&T bands in the US.

    I know for a fact it won't work on 4G LTE, but I never use mobile data on my phones anyway. I just need calling and texting to work. Any info/ advice would be greatly appreciated!

    I'm aware that the phone really only supports up to 3G or HSPA, but I'm only getting 2G Edge on T-Mobile. I have no idea if this a dead spot in this part of the city, or if either I'm doing something wrong or the device is. From what I've seen, people are either getting 3G or nothing at all, so I'm wondering if other people have experienced a similar case.

    Edit: I should also mention that it's 2G on both MIUI 10 and the Pixel Experience ROM.
