What's the best option for backing up, archiving, and searching texts/SMS? Posted: 03 Oct 2018 12:45 PM PDT WhatsApp seems to have the best solution. Their search function is incredible. I keep active messages open and then archive old ones. Searching searches your entire archive and "active" messages. WhatsApp also has a desktop version you can use and search as well. Posted: 03 Oct 2018 12:20 PM PDT So currently, I use Google Docs to write down what I did today, what I can do better tomorrow, my goals and progress on those, and stuff I need to do. I also keep random notes about whatever. It gets a bit cumbersome to have huge docs or keep creating new ones though. ​ Is there an app solution that has most or all of these functionalities? Recommendations for eBook/Audiobook App Posted: 03 Oct 2018 07:07 AM PDT Currently I use Calibre to store and organize ebooks and download them to my tablets and phone for reading. Then I can read those ebooks with the Kindle/Nook app but those apps do not sync reading progress/bookmarks between devices unless those ebooks are purchased through their specific store. So I am looking for an ebook reader app that can sync progress/bookmarks between devices. I like to read on my tablet at home, but then when I'm at work I would like the ability to pick up my phone and read a few pages from where I left off while at home. I've done some searching and looked a few including Aldiko but that requires a second app to sync and it looks rather cumbersome so I'm hoping there is a better option out there that the community can recommend. Simple text editor with sort + import/export TXT files? Posted: 03 Oct 2018 07:47 AM PDT I've searched the archives looking for a simple text editor with the above features and don't see anything with those listed. I've used Notepad, Jota, & ColorNote. I'd hate to download and try twenty other different apps at random. Can anyone point me to something that fits those requirements. I'd prefer not to have to import/export to DropBox as the only transfer mechanism; I really just want to create or import files to/from my phone. Looking for some input from Google Voice users Posted: 03 Oct 2018 11:30 AM PDT Hey guys, so I set up a google voice account for myself, and I've been googling this for days and haven't gotten an answer yet. Is there a way that when somebody calls, I can tell which phone number they're calling? Say I have $Number1, which is my us cellular number, and then $Number2, which is my google voice number. When someone calls, I'd like a way to know whether that person called $Number1 or $Number2. Not sure if that's possible or not, and I haven't been able to find an answer. Garage band on the iPhone can use your phones call microphone and route it straight to your earphones so you can monitor your audio. I use it for singing practice and voice acting.
