    That's why i use a samsung.

I haven't used Samsung's own launcher for almost a year and I accidentally activated it just now. After a few touch ups, I think it works great. I hated this launcher before and I've been using nova and lean launcher to get a pixel vibes but I've changed my mind now. ~S8

    Water Resistance Failure S8?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 08:14 AM PDT

So I was recently on holiday and decided to keep my S8 near-by me for security reasons and to check up using the hotel wi-fi. I was in the swimming pool when I accidentally submerged it.

Now I wasn't worried at all, I'd been on holiday to Egypt in the last year or so and it was fine in the pool, let it dry off and everything was fine.

As I pulled it out of the water, I dried it off and had the usual "Moisture detected..." message, again no worries here. As I returned from the pool I went to use my phone but my entire signal was now showing as "No service" and all camera holes were fogged up which was very odd and this hadn't happened before. After about 20 minutes or so, my signal returned but since none of the cameras work and I suspect water damage. When launching anything that uses the camera (snapchat etc), the phone effectively just goes mental, performance becomes slow and in some situations, locks up completely. I simply get "Camera failed". I've left it to dry since but sadly I think something is wrong internally.

Everything else works fine but my earpiece is quiet. The Touchscreen is a little temperamental also.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Change app screen ratio on S9?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 08:04 AM PDT

I'm a big Snapchat user, but it's really bad on the S9 ( so is Instagram). I heard that it's because of the screen's tall aspect ratio. I can't even change the app's ratio in the settings, Any way to get past this?

Is it worth to purchase a Note 8?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 07:56 AM PDT

Hey guys, so I purchased the LG Stylo 4 a few months ago when it came out. Ive enjoyed the phone but I have always had the itch for a premium phone. It does feel like a low-end phone & the camera isnt all that good. Its also frozen on me a few times.

So I want to purchase a premium phone later in the year. Right now I'm between the Note 8 & the Pixel 2 XL. Ive thought about the S series as well but don't like the curved edges too much.

    Thoughts?

    Wanted your advice/opinion - Samsung S9

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:00 AM PDT

The Samsung S9 (International Version) is available for £495 on Amazon UK. I was wondering if this is a good price, or do you see the price being lower within the next month or so?

Annoyed with samsung products and services

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 07:23 AM PDT

I'm a Samsung fanboy but recently everything seems to be going badly, the only thing that is proper and not damaged in a anyway is my gear sport. My s8 is in service for water damage although I only use it in the shower. I had a previous repair for my s8 for the front camera and I suspect they did not put the back glass properly as I found out after seeing condensation under my camera that I could put my finger nail in the bottom left of the back glass (I couldn't do this on any other side). Also my tab s3 is bent??? Idk how but it is, very oddly bent.

Help: Changing fonts/adding new fonts w/o rooting

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 07:09 AM PDT

Heya. Got my Note9 recently, but I'm having troubles figuring out how to install the Google Product Sans font. I'd rather not root my device until I've grown comfortable using it, but I'm fine using 3rd party apps as long as they don't prompt you to donate to open the thing up. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Sorry for the crappy title but I misunderstood the flairing. :p

[ SOLVED ] Finally I found a way to TOTALLY disable Bixby button. YES!!!!!!

    Posted: 21 Sep 2018 12:41 PM PDT

The most annoying thing about all Samsung's new devices is that unnecessary Bixby button.

Honestly i don't like Bixby because i think it's just not good enough to use it, BUT !!! I do like Bixby Vision it's really helpful sometimes especially when i need to extract some text from a picture, that's why I don't want to disable Bixby services totally.

Yes i know that we can remap it using some third party apps like bxActions, but the problem of accidentally pressing that damn button is still there.

The option to disable Bixby button is still there in the Bixby settings but these settings are just hidden, So i figured out a way to totally disable it using an app called (QuickShortcutMaker) you can download it from Google play Market: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut

Yes i know we still need a third party app to disable it but we need it JUST to find the hidden Bixby settings, after that you can freely delete it and forget about it forever.

So here is how to DO that:

    1. Download it from Google play.

    2. Open the app.

    3. Choose Activities (its chosen by default).

    4. Search for Bixby in the search bar.

    5. Find and Click on the "Bixby Voice" activity.

    6. Choose the first option "Bixby Voice sittings"

    7. Tab on TRY !!!

It will open the hidden Bixby sittings, under the "General options" you will see the "Bixby Key" tab on it and choose "DON'T OPEN ANYTHING".

............ Bixby button won't disturb you any more.

It works perfectly for me on my note 8 !!!!

7Edge new screen, smashed days later.

    Posted: 22 Sep 2018 12:53 AM PDT

    Hello all,

So i had my screen fixed under warranty. It just went green one day. They replaced screen, back, battery... i dropped it a day later screen now smashed. It was only a light drop but its wrecked. Could the new screen have been "weaker" or just bad luck? Have i any recourse?
