My phone keeps mooing? Like a cow Posted: 22 Sep 2018 03:17 AM PDT Hi, not sure if anyone can help but worth a shot :) I own an S9 and tonight it's started mooing like a cow. I really don't know why, there's no pattern to it, it just does it randomly. It's kind of adorable so I don't really mind, but I am curious to know why. Had anyone else had this happen? Movers packed up my power cord to my desktop, too good at their job. Posted: 21 Sep 2018 01:56 PM PDT Power supply is an EVGA Supernova 650 G2. Should I be looking for anything special when it comes to replacement/future spare? Or will any ol' thing do, as long as it's not super cheap? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2018 03:47 AM PDT My screen isn't 1920x1080, but whenever I boot up my PC the screen informs me that the input is 1080. I check my settings on Windows and the resolution is set at 1600x900, as it should be. When I set it to 1080, the screen looks way better albeit not as good as it normally looks. So obviously Windows actually sets my screen at 1080 instead of 900 and then downscales it to make it look like 900. The only way to fix this is to launch a video game that is exlusive-fullscreen, and then exit it. Somehow that sets my resolution to proper 900. How can I fix this? [link] [comments] |
Major stuttering with all games. RTX 2080 Posted: 22 Sep 2018 01:27 AM PDT I am having major stutter with my new GPU. With all games. My old gtx1070 had no problems.
Monitoring of one PUBG match with MSI Afterburner: https://i.imgur.com/JoN8cdR.png and another one (I capped to 70fps at the end): https://i.imgur.com/j6UYmr8.png

Pretty sure there's something wrong with my graphics card, need help! Posted: 22 Sep 2018 12:07 AM PDT Hello, i have an nvidia geforce gtx 970m in an acer predator 17 notebook. i am experiencing some performance issues, especially with games. i used to get around 60-70 fps on max settings, now i get 40fps with low to medium settings. this all started one day after an update, where i pretty much had slideshow graphics. after de-and reinstalling my graphics card, it seemed to work. however, as i said, i have low fps. also, when i deactivate my integrated graphics card, my second monitor turns off and my resolution/aspect ratio gets all messed up. i think my gtx is corrupt, but im not sure. also i cant roll it back. also, i cant select a preferred graphics card for programs in the nvidia control panel, its just greyed out and doesnt let me select. what do i do? i can post full specs if needed. Desktop becomes blurry when playing a game with 1600x900 resolution Posted: 21 Sep 2018 11:53 PM PDT Hello all, so recently I tried switching my game resolutions to 1600x900 from 1980x1080 and noticed a huge increase in FPS. Since I do not see much of a difference I decided to just stick with 1600x900. However, when playing games at this resolution my desktop becomes blurry (Especially the task bar icons), and when I exit the game everything comes back to normal, except for the blurry task bar icons. This looks annoying and I may have to come back to 1980x1080 if no solution is present, but as much as possible I would like to stick with 1600x900 on games because of the FPS increase. When I restart it, everything including the blurry task bar comes back, but when I launch a game at 1600x900, it goes back to the same blurry problem again. How do I fix this? [link] [comments] |

Computer overheats and crashes if I unlock FPS Posted: 22 Sep 2018 01:20 AM PDT I was having issues with overheating during the summer. I couldn't play any games at all because my computer would crash right away. I eventually watched some videos and learned how to take my computer apart. I cleaned out the dried up thermal paste on my CPU and GPU and re-applied a new layer. I installed liquid cooling. I bought a new power supply and compressed air to blow out all the dust in my case. Now my computer has been running fine with zero crashes. However, if I unlock my FPS to try anything higher than 60 fps, I start crashing again. Is there anything else I can do to alleviate heat issues? [link] [comments] |
Launching any game causes PC to flicker for 2sec and fade to a black screen. Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:25 AM PDT Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 (msi) Everytime I launch a game it works for ~30sec, then it starts flickering for 2 sec and my screen + sound fades away and goes black. The computer is still on but nothing works, it completely crashes. I think this happened after i installed the newest version of geforce experience or graphics driver yesterday. I've reinstalled all the drivers, even the OS, none of these worked. I checked if it was overheating by using speccy, but it all seemed fine. *A 3rd party software called open hardware monitor, which said the was fine. But it displayed 2 different kinds of temps for my CPU link to image: http://imgur.com/gallery/x2L8ziV I dont trust this program to be 100% accurate, but if it is, could it be my motherboard? the temps on the first row bounces up and down from 30-120C and is displayed under my "z87-a" motherboard. Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:21 AM PDT Everytime I start my PC, it goes to a black screen with white text saying: Chkdsk error: Cannot open volume for direct access. Autochk cannot run due to an error caused by a recently installed software package. Then it immediately goes to the user login screen and everything is normal. According to Google, the error means my hard drive is going to shit itself and I should download some software, which I've done: HDSentinel short hard disk test Do I really have to chkdsk? It takes so frigging long. The software says it's fine? Can I just monitor the hard drive with the software above or do something less time consuming to fix it? [link] [comments] |
Images on apps not loading while on Mobile Data Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:20 AM PDT Hello everyone. I need help with my phone... Basically when I am on WiFi, my apps all work perfectly. However, when I am using my Mobile Data (4G), the images on my Facebook and Instagram will not load properly. The images and content is all displayed in real time and shows me the latest post etc... but the actual images themselves will simply not load. Even when I am on my laptop, connected to my HotSpot and am using FB/Instagram, the images simply will not show up. It's only these two apps which don't seem to be working... My phone (iPhone6) has been this way the past 3 days or so.. Help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!!! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:15 AM PDT Hi, I really need some help. I started getting black screens when playing games, watching videos and so on. It started few months ago, had this computer for 2 years now but never had this problem before. This occurs when the computer is turned on for a few hours and then when I get a black screen sometimes i can still hear music/sounds in the background but I can't do anything except reseting it. If anybody has any idea as to why this is happening I would really appreciate it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:09 AM PDT I recently bought an SD Card and I have been searching ever since for a way to adopt it on my phone as internal storage, however I couldn't find anything. Can anybody help me with this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:08 AM PDT So I am trying to download some Charlie Rose videos for my own use. Here is one of them. I tried a number of video downloader sites (like savefrom.net, videograbby.com) to no avail. I also tried browser extensions like Flash Video downloader and Video Downloader, both of which didn't work. FVD failed to download an .f4v file, which showed as "Failed - Forbidden". VD redirected to the video's source site, which didn't open and displayed an error "This site can't be reached". I tried to fix that by modifying my IPv4 as well as my chrome settings, but that didn't work either. I also tried to stream the video on my VLC. I'd be grateful for any ideas, short of capturing my screen (which is incredibly time consuming for me). [link] [comments] |

tv as second monitor quality bad ? Posted: 22 Sep 2018 04:04 AM PDT i have a laptop and a tv both 1080p. connect them with a hdmi and the tv looks way worse. its mildly blurry the colors and brightness is just wrong. tried to mess with the tv settings didnt improve much. anything i can do from win10 to improve things? the tv is a little old so its not the best quality but when im watching anything from satellite it looks 10 times better so its capable of looking good. i have the nvidia control panel but it wont let me change settings of the tv. any help ? the tv 4 times bigger with the same resolution i know that makes the quality worse and im sitting like 3 or 4 meters away from the tv. does that matter ? What can I do and is there a way of figuring out which fan is making the grating noise in such small a time frame. When I have 5 fans in my pc [link] [comments] |

Just randomly my mouse and keyboard is plugging in and out for no reason. Sometimes i even have to unplug the mouse or keyboard by hand to make it work again. Sometimes these unplugs can be 10 times within 10 seconds, or one time within 30min. What i've tried to do is following:

Computer won’t stay connected to WiFi? Posted: 21 Sep 2018 09:42 PM PDT As title says, and I don't think it's a WiFi issue because it's just been installed and runs fine on every other device. ? [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to easily add an audio track to an MP4 and switch between them? Posted: 22 Sep 2018 03:38 AM PDT I have the LOTR Extended version MP4 and I want to add the commentary track (MPEG-4 Audio) to them. My preferred way of watching is Windows Media Player, but there doesnt seem to be a way to add audio tracks in it, just the ability to switch. I opened VLC and tried adding there, but when I did the "save/convert" it didnt do anything. Like literally nothing. I downloaded MPC-HC and added audio track in that and saved the file, but opening in WMP and VLC didnt show any extra tracks. Whats the easiest way to do this? Im reluctant to download things willy nilly bc my computer is weak as shit. Im running windows 7 and I cant even open windows movie maker [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2018 03:38 AM PDT i'm running Win 10 on my laptop. Never during the day time does my PC auto shut down, so i rule out CPU overheating. [link] [comments] |
