- Just got a OnePlus 6 And my Netflix looks horrible, Videos are pixelated, looks like 360p video instead of 1080p, Wifi is Gigabit, Netflix Account Is 4K, Anything i can do? Thought this was OS related as i received phone wity Hydrogen OS, Change to Oxygen OS Oreo still looks bad.

I fear this may not be a solution for me though, even though the charging is pretty damn fast compared to my older phone, I don't see any fast charge or dash charging icon and it's not charging up to it's quoted 60% in 30 minutes. If it is please let me know of the right place. I rooted my OP5 a long time ago, just about a year ago, and things were working fine. A recent update to Magisk came out, so I chose to download the zip file, boot into TWRP, and install the zip. However, ever since that happened my phone has been in an infinite bootloop. At the bootloader screen, if I select to boot into recovery, the phone just restarts. If I choose to power off, it also restarts, not turning off. How fucked am I? Is there any chance of recovery? If I have to lose my data I'll do it. UPDATE: I can boot into fastboot mode, where I can than select recovery mode and boot into TWRP. [link] [comments]  |

I have a secondary phone with Snapdragon 625 which only drained 1-2% per night, so I guess it's the CPU problem? How is your idle battery drain? [link] [comments]  |

| OnePlus 2 Home Button Doesn't Work Anymore Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:29 AM PDT So my home button was working fine, but all of a sudden the home button just stopped working. I didn't install anything in between the times when it did work and when it didn't, I didn't drop it, I didn't do anything to my phone that would break the home button to my knowledge. I've tried dialing that *#808# number and tested the fingerprint sensor and it says that the sensor has passed both tests, so I'm thinking it's a software issue. | My thoughts on the Tech21 Evo Shell case for OP6 Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:22 AM PDT I haven't seen any reviews or thoughts on Tech21's cases here, and they haven't released many cases for OnePlus phones. I have owned Tech21 cases for my HTC10 and my iPhone 6S, and liked them a lot so when I saw they had one for the OP6, I picked one up. I'm a bit of a case hound, and change them up every few days, and my other OP6 cases are the OEM Nylon, Silicone red, Karbon protective and stock cases, plus the Nillken plastic shell case. The Evo Shell is different from the other Tech21 cases I've owned, as it's not TPU, but a fairly rigid case with some slight flexibility. It's got small ridges and a matte finish to it so the color of your phone comes through, but in a more muted fashion. Grip is good, but not great, but still very comfortable to hold. It does not show fingerprints at all, and seems very resistant to day to day scratches. There's a nice lip for screen protection, but it's not huge, so it feels nice to use the phone with it. Not sure how much protection it would offer with a tempered glass protector though. Cutouts are perfect, buttons are clicks and responsive and the alert slider is easily accessible. It fits very snugly but isn't too difficult to get on or off. It's quite thin and doesn't add much bulk to the phone at all, and should offer pretty good drop protection too. (Tech21 claims 2m...I'm not going to test it). In all, I really like it. It's definitely near or at the top of my favorite cases for this phone, along with the Nylon case and OP silicone red case. In a couple weeks, I'm switching carriers from Verizon to T-Mobile, and I want to buy a OP6. But how does that work? If I order a phone from OP, can I just take that unlocked phone to a T-Mobile store and have them switch my line over to it from my iPhone 6s? My OP6 just took a fall, face down, from about a foot on a half from a coffee table onto a hard wooden floor ... and (as far as I can tell) there isn't a scratch on it! This is the exact same fall that killed my Nexus 6P (and the reason why I even have a OP6). So I am one relieved puppy! Edit: I should add that it didn't have a case. However, today I went to open the app and the Video and Time-Lapse option cause it to crash? I've never had this issue, was doing videos fine yesterday and I've not changed anything in the mean time. I currently use Greenify on my phone but I've heard about something called doze mode in new android OS? Even though the new OP6 would have 8 gigs of RAM I still like to permanently close a few apps, so would I need Greenify there too? Or is doing same counterproductive in any way? Then when I went back into Magisk Manager, I found that I had lost root (i.e. nothing shows up in the left drawer of the app and no root apps work). I tried flashing the Uninstaller.zip and reflashing TWRP and Magisk v16, but it still did not re-root my device. I'm running OOS 5.1.5 with Magisk Manager v5.8.3 [link] [comments]  |
