- My gboard voice typing gets deactivated as in 'not allowed/crossed' when I'm using the system language (English us) for typing. Other language like English uk is ok for voice typing. Any idea why?

Is there a game where it doesn't require your immediate attention? Games like Words with Friends where you take your turn and you wait for other people to make theirs? So far so good as everything seems to work pretty well, only thing missing is an app for Youtube and a stable browser (preferably one which could add specific bookmarks onto my home screen). | [ShowerTough] MiBand tool would be amazing if tasker could check if button was recently pressed Posted: 22 Sep 2018 07:12 AM PDT For those who don't know, Mi band tool is an app giving better tool to interact with the mi band 2 which is a smart bracelet able to show notification. We can't have an event "button pressed" because this would require the phone asking every 2s the band if the button have been pressed (thus draining the battery), but what we could have, is a tasker action to check if the button was recently pressed. They already have a system like that allowing the dismiss a phone call by pressing the mi band button, but nothing for tasker. I sent them a suggestion by email but they never reply to suggestion, so no idea if they might implement it (and this probably have already asked multiples times) :( [link] [comments]  |

It usually happens on a specific thread on my messages, the one which I message the most. Tried using older version of messenger and it doesn't lag like that. | Need an accessibility app that stays active when phone is off (to unlock phone) Posted: 22 Sep 2018 11:36 AM PDT Hi, As the title states, I'm looking for an accessibility app for my friend that will stay active when the phone (Samsung A7) is locked. This is so it can be used to unlock the phone without pressing the power key or home key. The reason for this is that when cycling and the phone is in a bag on the handlebars, you can't access the power button easily and the Samsung A7 doesn't have a physical home button. I've tried a few accessibility apps from Google play, but you can't access them unless the screen is powered on. The A7 doesn't have an "always on" clock, as this would have been an option where we could double tap the clock to activate the screen. Any ideas? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]  |

I am a part of a big group and I don't want to block the notifications for the said group or the app itself, I just want to receive the notifications thru vibration only, while the ringtone and notifications for other apps can be heard (aka not muting the whole ringtone part of the volume slider). She downloaded Tiktok and clicked to register as a new user, but as it uses a dial / wheel to select date of birth she selected the wrong year (she's young and impetuous and didn't double-check what she'd selected, despite me telling her to). The issue is that now, even after an uninstall, the app just blocks her from making a new account, saying that she's 'not eligible'. This is literally at the first registration step of selecting D.O.B. Even after trying to link to my twitter to create an account, it still won't work (just says login failed). | AdHell-like program for non-Samsungs? Posted: 22 Sep 2018 10:25 AM PDT I'm looking for a good firewall program like AdHell that tells me what domains each app is accessing. For example, with AdHell it would list all the connection attempts both per-app and per-domain, so I could see which apps were trying to access graph.facebook.com or crashalytics.com. I don't want to block apps from all internet access, just from accessing certain domains. Posted: 21 Sep 2018 06:39 PM PDT I'm trying to rid myself of the horrendous amount of receipts in my filing cabinet so I'm hoping to turn them to PDFs and then be rid of them. I've tried google drive, adobe scan and cam scanner so far and my problem is that some of the receipts/invoices are longer/larger than my phone's camera can accurately capture in a single photo, so I'm hoping there would be an app that could intelligently capture multiple sections of a document and then intelligently stitch them together.
