Don't fall for Rise of Civilisations

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 05:29 AM PDT

I saw a post a few days ago and people were saying the game is not p2w, which is a blantant lie.

Yeah it may be more generous than similar games but don't get fooled, it will be easy at the beginning but it will get super time consuming and p2w later on, you will notice everything will take days to build and anyone who pays has 10x more power than you since they can just buy resources, speed ups and to an extent even legendary commanders because u can cash in gold keys.

Also the game is really dumb because when a new server opens, people from different kingdoms can teleport to new servers and have 400k power when u start with 2k power, fair right? yeah

[DEV] Starlost major update - shoot baddies with bigger guns

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 07:34 PM PDT

    Hello Reddit,

If you're a fan of Starlost, we have a treat in store for you! If you're not a fan, well check it out maybe you will become one :D

Just quickly, what is Starlost? It's a top-down space shooter where you build turrets on your ship, fly around and mine asteroids and shoot baddies. It has a full story, plus an endless mode and global leaderboard.

We have recently released a major update with a bunch of new weapons, drones and upgrades to take your ship to the next level, with 6 new experimental turrets designed to help you top the leaderboards.

    New weapons:

Autocannon - For when you just want to fire lots of explosives at something
Flamer - We bend the rules of physics to put a flamethrower in space
Minelayer - With a huge range, the minelayer plops out fields of mines so you can set traps
Bleeder - Fires a canister which attaches to enemies, dealing DOT, good against bosses & buildings
Reclaimer - Nearby enemy explosions are reclaimed, increasing players shield and energy reserves.

    Experimentals:

Thermal Lance - Like the flamer, but the opposite. Disables enemies caught in the chill stream
Temporal Artillery - An artillery shell which slows down time for enemies caught in the blast
Antimatter Torpedo - Basically just an enormous explosion
Orb Launcher - Fire autonomous orbs into the air, each one fires a laser for sweet sweet DOT
Quantum Bombardment - A rapid fire Quantum Torpedo, enough to immobilize enemies
Railswarm - Imagine if you strapped 12 railguns onto one turret.

    New drones (album):

Marauder - Shoots dumbfire rockets at baddies
Widowmaker - Cheap anti-building drone, fires slow moving plasma pulses
Lancer - We strap an ion cannon to a drone and let it do its thing
Guardian - Heals the player by shooting the player with a nano-heal canister
Preserver - Recharges the player using power canisters
Keeper - Protects the player by shooting down incoming projectiles
Phantom - Extends the seek and fire ranges of all active drones (5 phantoms and 1 mining drone = mine whole map autonomously)
Martyr - Flies directly at an enemy then detonates a temporal bomb, good at slowing down large groups
Hammer - Fires fusion sabot rounds, suddenly everything is a nail
Titan - Links in to the main ships distributed lightning array, extending the range significantly and adding damage.

Along with those are some new upgrades, like level 4 turret power usage reduction etc.

Game name: Starlost - Space Shooter

    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hoodwinked.starlost

Price: Free, has some unobtrusive ads (IAP to buy license to remove ads)

Thanks guys. Let me know what you think if you give it a shot!

[Request] turn based, real time pvp games

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 06:35 PM PDT

    Hey all,

Looking for a turn based, but real time (no AI controlled enemy team) games. The closest thing I can think of would be Tactical Monsters Rumble Arena. Other games (Dungeon Boss, etc.) Have the turn based pvp, but you play against the enemies team that is AI controlled, which I'm not a real fan of.

    Any suggestions?

[Request] Need suggestions for an MMO to play

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 12:27 PM PDT

I would like it to preferably have a good character customization system, and decent graphics. It can be eastern or western themed. I also don't mind of it has autoplay.

    CRPG Style Game Recommendations?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 12:08 PM PDT

Hello! I am a big fan of CRPGs but haven't played a whole lot of them. I've been wanting to pick up one of the classics that have been ported to mobile but just haven't set aside the time yet. I have a long flight coming up in a couple weeks so I figure now's a good time to jump in.

I've been looking at Baulder's Gate and Icewind Dale. I would appreciate any thoughts on one over the other, or suggestions of other similar games to check out for tablet. I dig fantasy setting but it wouldn't be a deal breaking if something in a different theme had strong recommendations.

    Thanks!

What is your preferred method of IAP for F2P games?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 09:11 AM PDT

Sort of off-topic, but I wanted the input of mobile gamers. Besides buying the game, what's the ideal payment method for you? Do you prefer ads? Ads for items or temporary powerups? IAPs? Pay to remove ads? Cosmetics only IAPs? When are you fine with watching an ad or buying an IAP?

Looking for a fun and good character customization mmorpg to play with friends

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 05:13 AM PDT

Well I've been testing some on the playstore that are "recommended" due to my constant search for one to start playing with friends.

So far ive found nothing except toram online and maybe saoif. But the new content they added (skill trees on books and limited time) and how fast the economy changes it forced me to suspend my stay til my investments of this year's anniversary pays out (most likely on the next year)

Saoif I was lucky and got a lot of cool skills (three 4 stars skill records for sword) and all but having skill only obtainable by putting arcana gems AND making it gacha? No thanks. I reached 6th floor and I started to get my butt kicked by mobs. Almost unable to farm.

So yeah I'm kinda looking for a game that meets these requirement.

    1) good character customization (I dont want to look exactly the same to that other guy that just started like me)

    2) a decent amount of classes (more specifically, mages and assassin/swordsmandps)

    3) being f2p friendly or not putting content that should be accessible for free behind paywalls (such as skills, classes, etc).

    4) an ammorpg would be appreciated.

    5) And last and most important NO GENDER/RACE binded classes ( I don't want to be a girl if I want to use a swift assassin or Archer. Nor when I want to be a warrior being forced to use a giant dude)

Sorry if I'm being too picky. But the amount of games with classes based on gender is ridiculous... And the ones I've been interested are not on the playstore yet and are not even translated to English yet

Oh also hi first time posting here

    Classic Boy Emulator Audio Distortion

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 09:59 AM PDT

I recently bought the full version of Classic Boy and I am playing some games from my own collection as well as others as well. The audio on all of them seems choppy, I have noticed it in NES, N64, & Sega games. I have ran some of these same roms on other emulators and i didn't have sound issues which leads me to suspect it is an error on my part in the settings but after having navigated each menu individually i am at a loss on how to proceed.

The sound is gritty and choppy with distortion over the music, in some instances the sound clears up as play progresses but that is not always the case and if the game is shut off and reloaded later the distortion returns. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
