So many games without real screenshots. Doesn't this bother you?

    Posted: 26 Sep 2018 03:49 PM PDT

Hey guys and girls, my name is George.

This is a thought I have been having almost every time I enter Google Play Store, looking for new games to play. Lots and lots of games (mostly MMORPGs), don't have real screenshots in Play Store. Instead, we see screenshots with characters or something else zoomed in while half of the screen is covered by captions like "Wonderful graphics", "Best-in-industry gameplay" etc, but we can't freaking see what the game is about. The trailers are the same.

Do the developers know that their game is actually shit so they are trying to mislead people? I am really sorry for my bad language but I am a reviewer for a gaming website myself and I can't help it but feel frustrated by this. The thing is that I have tried games with "fake" screenshots and some of them were fun to play, but if they used real screenshots, more people would be willing to play those games.

"Indie" games seem to use real screenshots most of the time though. Shouldn't Google prohibit developers of using that kind of screenshots/trailers inside Play Store? I remember that Valve did something about this issue a while back and now all the developers have to provide real screenshots inside Steam.

I know that YouTube, this subreddit and websites that cover mobile games are a good source to check out games, but this issue lowers the quality of user experience a lot.

    What are your thoughts?

I have been improving my game (Day of the Fish) for the last couple of weeks from the feedback I got from you. I hope you enjoy this new version. Would love to keep hearing from you guys. It's a short arcade game with 6 levels, bosses for each level and a final boss. The music is chiptune style.

Anybody else have a "too many games" issue?

    Posted: 26 Sep 2018 09:51 PM PDT

Does anybody else have a problem with downloading way too many games and then only playing the same, like, five games and then once in a while you'll play one of the others and enjoy it but then you go back to the main five or whatever? And you keep buying games when they are on sale but never play em? And then you find yourself with a huge backlog and it's almost overwhelming? Anybody else?

Anybody used to have this problem but figure out how to get a hold of yourself and chill out?

Haha... Hahaha.... Ha. Ha ha ha help me

[Request] A earlier 2010s game that was also on ios

    Posted: 26 Sep 2018 11:12 AM PDT

It was a shooter and action type of genre, it you running around and shooting at monsters that attacked you, some were stronger than others I can remember one was a fast black puffy one you can choose to aim and fire or set fire to auto aim

your character would be a male that from my foggy memory, reminded me of the guy from jetpack joyride,

you could also pick up guns and unlock skins, a few being a bear or lumberjack

    this game had nice graphics

and also the big thing that sticks out in this game is that you can collect 3 clovers to turn into a beast that can easily run through all these monsters

You can play this game multiplayer through Bluetooth for sure I forgot about online

The app icon I believe had some sort of black and red

This game was also big on iOS, I fear it may only be for iOS

    Thanks for the help
