    Samsung S9+ wake up delay?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 07:01 AM PDT

    Hey,

I recently got the Samsung S9+ and there's this smallest thing that's bothering me. When you wake up the phone and you see the unlock screen with notifications, there's this half a second delay before you see the notifications and I'd like to see them instantly just like in every other phone. Is there any way to turn the delay off and why is the delay there in the first place? I know it's a ridiculously small thing but you unlock the phone so many times so it gets annoying.

    A5 2017 case combo

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 05:48 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

I have a new A5 2017 on order. I've been looking at cases and tempered glass screen protectors but it looks to be a bit of a mine field. Apparently some screen protectors don't work with cases due to the shape of the phone.

Can anyone recommend a case and screen protector combo for this phone?

UK based if that helps. No budget in mind.

    Thanks!

Anyone else experience random pops/glitchyness/clipping when listening to Audio on their Samsung device?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 06:05 PM PDT

So I've had a Galaxy A5 2017 for a while now, and really like the overall experience of the phone

However, Music/Audio is quite an important part of my life and I have unfortunately experienced random glitchy pops/crackle when listening to music on my phone... It's extremely jarring

This problem seems to be randomly occurring, sometimes disappears for a while, and occurs to varying degrees... Sometimes it will pop or glitch 5/6 times in a song, sometimes it will do it to the point it actually alters the tempo of the track and causes it to go weird/lag behind a bit

Anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? I did contact Samsung about the issue on Twitter but they just told me to update my phone to the latest software (and at the time, it did clear the issue so I left it there)

I'm using Samsung Music App, so I'm wondering if it's an issue with app... I did previously have issues with this in other apps though which leads me to suggest it's not that

    S7 Edge potential battery issues

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 03:18 AM PDT

Hi there, I've been having some issues with my s7 Edge for a few months now where it will get into the range of 35-50% battery and then rapidly drop over 1minute to 0%.

I've taken it to Samsung support twice, both times they found nothing wrong with the phone, both hardware and software, and tested my cables and adaptors to make sure they were okay.

Because of that they say a new battery wouldn't fix the issue so there's no point forking out for one.

I've also factory reset the device a couple of times, which didn't seem to do anything.

Has anyone else had this issue? Or do you have any suggestions on what the root of the issue is and how to fix it?

How do I buy an Exynos Galaxy S9+ in the US?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 12:57 AM PDT

I'm not sure this is where I should post this, but I can't think of anywhere better. Anyway...

Edit: I found out that I really have nothing to worry about and that the Snapdragon is faster. However, if anyone could offer some insight as to how I would buy an international model, just for my own knowledge, that would be great. Thanks again

I live in the US and I'm looking to upgrade to the new Galaxy S9+, but from what I've heard the international version containing the Exynos 9810 processor is substantially more powerful than the US version with the Snapdragon 845. I'm wondering how I would go about getting an international version that will work here in the US, if that's even possible at all. Thank you in advance for any responses!

Note8,at&t, oreo,SE9 really slow to send pics through text message

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 06:15 PM PDT

I was wondering if anyone who has a Note8 on on at&t has been experiencing slow to send MMS messages with the advanced messaging feature turned on, takes in upwards of 5 minutes to send a 5mb photo I thought with LTE advanced messaging would be faster. I know sending it as a text the picture gets down sized to a few Kb, which due to how slow advanced messaging is. So I'm wondering if the Advanced Messaging is done through at&t or samsung!!!!

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) battery draining rapidly

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 11:51 PM PDT

Hey guys! So I just bought the Galaxy A5 a week ago, and one of the main reasons for my purchase was the battery life, supposedly the phone should be able to handle 11-12 hours of active use easily according to reviews. However I've noticed that I have to charge the phone after just 6-7 hours of semi-active use (Netflix, some browsing, YouTube, some gaming (no longer than 15 minutes), Facebook, with a couple of hours in standby). I did a test of heavy use yesterday (ie. continuous use until the battery was at 10% from a full charge) and it took me just over 5 hours.

    Now, It's not a massive problem, but it's a bit laughable that a 350 € phone has worse/similar battery life than my old 100 € Lumia 640.

I've been researching this, and found that there's multiple threads online about people saying that Nougat supposedly significantly negatively affected their battery life after upgrading from Marshmellow last year.

Before anyone asks, yes, I have checked the app usage in device maintenance, and all of them are at 1-2% besides the screen which is at 8% and Netflix was at like 5%. I also put apps in doze mode in the power saving tab under battery. So far I haven't seen any huge improvement.

Any other tips or could it be my battery is faulty?

Other than this, I find the phone amazing and will surely continue using Samsung in the future!

    Thanks!

    Edit: a word.

Oreo on Galaxy S6 is official! (Proof in description)

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 03:13 AM PDT

This showed up in my S9+ gallery, the photo that you can see through was made by me, but there are other things visible.

Just updated my galaxy note 8. Now there's no personalized message tones.

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 09:04 PM PDT

I'm not sure what to do about this. I've checked the settings and done some googling, to no avail.

Just Got Galaxy S9+ and am using my SD card from my S7. It keeps saying there's a read write error and that I need to format the card. I don't want to do that. Is there another way I can fix the problem?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 05:57 PM PDT

Why are some options greyed out?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 05:21 PM PDT

[Gear S2] Battery drain is ridiculously fast. Started happening after downloading that new update a few days ago...

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 05:08 PM PDT

My Gear S2 didn't have this absurd battery drainage before the update. It was able to go through a day and a half easily with a single charge.

But now it barely survives 5 hours, and that's horrendous as heck.

I've tried factory resetting it as well, twice in fact. So what is it that I should do to fix this? Can I reroll it back to the version I had before?
