| Posted: 29 Aug 2018 04:23 PM PDT My father is recovering from a brain injury and can only use his left hand (this is his dominant hand). He has had trouble typing with his phone. Are there any keyboards that are designed to be used for people with physical disabilities that might help him type more easily? A keyboard with larger than standard buttons would be beneficial as well. Suggestions for anything that helps speech to text might also be helpful, but my father is pretty set in his ways so I'm not sure I can get him to use speech to text, so at least as a first step finding a more accessible keyboard that I can install for him will probably be more effective. Posted: 29 Aug 2018 06:53 PM PDT Device: Xiaomi MIA1 Firmware version: Android oreo 8.1 Device to pair with bluetoot: JVC KD-R780BT 1-DIN CD Receiver with Bluetooth (link to jvc official website for this product http://www.us.jvc.com/car/indashreceivers/kd_r780bt/ ) Problem: I am using the DEEZER app, and before owning this phone (MIA1) i had an Iphone 6s; with the Iphone i paired my JVC car stereo and everything worked fine, hands free, music streaming, and the head unit controls. Now with my android phone everything seems to work ok except the fast forwarding and rewind controls of the JVC radio; in the Iphone when i long pressed the skip forward or skip backwards button the song will start forwarding or rewinding as long as i keep pressing the button, but in the Android i can only skip songs with a single press, and when i long press said buttons it does nothing. is there any way to fix this? is this the normal way android behaves? is there a way to have this functionality restored or make it be like it was with my Iphone? Posted: 29 Aug 2018 08:54 PM PDT Hi i just recently moved photos to my sd card ,but when the process was going on,i forgot and i restarted my phone and now i think the sd card is corrupted because everytime i open up my album app,all of my pictures showed up black. | Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Not Unlocking. Posted: 29 Aug 2018 09:01 AM PDT I forgot the pattern and I'm unable to unlock it via fingerprint because the device was shut down. I tried to display the "unlock via PIN" and "unlock via Google" options by getting the pattern wrong a few times, but that is not happening. Every time I input the wrong pattern the device tells me to try again in a set amount of time. It started with "Try again in 30 seconds" to "Try again in 1 minute" to "Try again in 2 minutes". Meaning that I'm unable to try to input a wrong pattern twice in a row but rather I must wait some time before each try, this wasn't like this and I have not set the device settings to make it as such. I'm trying to avoid to factory reset the device by simply unlocking the phone using the Google or PIN options, but neither are showing up, what are my options? Posted: 29 Aug 2018 05:39 PM PDT I'm using LineageOS without GAPPS with apps from the F-Droid store and Play Store through Yalp. Everything works flawlessly, not a single app I use crashes or offers limited functionality, despite some of them requiring GAPPS according to Yalp. Except for the push notifications. Sometimes they're handy but in order for most apps to be able to send them, Google services are required. Hence I'd like to as you about microG: How much does microG communicate with Google? Is the assumption correct that microG uses Google services? Is there a way to just allow it to use Google's push notification service and block the rest? [link] [comments]  |

However, whenever i use the bottom left app switching button and i use another app and then i go back all running background apps, chrome isnt there anymore. | Re-rooting an already rooted phone with a ROM to do Titanium Backup? Posted: 29 Aug 2018 07:48 PM PDT I found one of my old phones, which I had rooted and flashed with Cyanogenmod 13 a while back. I am aware that is a obsolete/deprecated OS. I want to make a backup of data on it before installing a new OS, but TitaniumBackup tells me it doesn't have root privileges. I guess rooting the phone once doesn't keep that? When I boot it up it gives me the "This phone has been modified" warning screen. What do I need to do to re-root it and make a backup of this phone? The instructions I have are from going from a factory Android to Cyanogen, so I'm wondering if anything is different in rooting and backing up a Cyanogen phone. | Posted: 29 Aug 2018 03:57 PM PDT So my phone is now beeping every twenty-thirty seconds and at the same time a circle emanates from the general area of the home button as if I'd just pressed there and it was like a touchscreen visible feedback. I have no idea why it's started this but it only seems to be in headsets and not actually out of the speakers. It continues through music and phone calls and even during start up after a reset... | Is this a changeable text setting?... Posted: 29 Aug 2018 02:34 PM PDT On my S9, when I receive or send a "long" text, I have to tap "view all" to see all of it. Is there a setting that I can adjust, to have it all just show up in the conversation window... as opposed to the extra step?
