| What's a good alarm app for a heavy sleeper? Posted: 04 Jul 2018 06:43 AM PDT I am a really heavy sleeper, alarms don't work all the time for me as I sometimes turn off my alarm without me remembering it. I currently have the app AMDroid which has a feature where you need to solve different challenges to turn the alarm off but the problem with this is that I can still easily switch off the phone itself, rendering the challenges thing useless. I'm now looking for an app that I can either 1) not turn off my phone during an alarm or 2) also require a challenge when turning the phone off during the alarm. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

| [Help] looking for a way to use Google Home / Pixel to control PC speakers? Posted: 04 Jul 2018 09:09 AM PDT Hey guys, Sorry if this is the wrong sub, let me know if it is! So basically, I'm trying to figure out a way to control audio from my laptop (and subsequently my speakers) with my Google Home. I'll probably end up using my hotspot on my phone and figured using my phone as a connection between the PC and the Google Home. Essentially, I want to be able to say "okay Google, play (whatever), and have that music play on my computer speakers, instead of on my phone or on the Home itself. | Looking for a GPS Navigation app that does turn-by-turn with custom tracks/routes Posted: 04 Jul 2018 05:08 AM PDT I will be doing a long roadtrip on my motorcycle and I will need an app that does navigation on custom routes that I can import from kml/kmv/gpx files. I have tried it with google maps and it would work in theory by keeping the screen on on my One+ 5 with the 'stay awake' dev option while charging it with a battery and just following the route on the map visually and without turn-by-turn navigation. However, on highways with intertwined roads this could lead me to missing an exit or something. If there's no other option I will probably do it this way. It would be very useful to have an area on the screen that tell me what turn to make before they appear. One App that I have found that can do this is OsmAnd, but it doesn't seem to be grabbing my location properly. Edit: Alright, I actually got this working how I want it to:
Before I just used a different website to convert the KML to GPX, but OsmAnd didn't recognize it as a one-way-trip and wanted to navigate as a round-trip...three times. However, OsmAnd is rather clunky and I have no experience with the app. If any of you know any alternatives, let me know. [link] [comments]  |

It takes so many unnecessary taps to get to where i want to go and some of the behaviours arent what i'd expect, like when you tap the artist's name on the now playing screen - it takes you to the album not the artist, and when you search your saved songs and play something, it'll play a playlist of the search results rather than your whole collection. A company as big as Spotify should really put some more thought into the UX of their app. I love the service, I'm a premium user, and it gets me through my days at work, but the app is such a chore to use. I delete it and then about a week later it's back. I have a Galaxy Note 8 running android version 7.1.1. What should I do?
