Posted: 26 Jul 2018 08:10 PM PDT I'm trying to find out which of today's mid-range processors are on par or beat my generations-old Mi 5 with the SD820, are there any sites that group processors across generations into rough performance tiers so we can see at a glance which are upgrades, which are sidegrades? YouTube not loading in MIUI 9.5.19.0? Posted: 26 Jul 2018 09:54 PM PDT I recently purchased a Redmi Note 5 (pro), and out of the box updated it to the latest MIUI version in the settings app, which was 9.5.19.0. However, when trying to use the YouTube app, it gets stuck with the loading circle, and no videos showing. No matter how long I wait nothing loads. I have tried deleting the cache and uninstalling updates but nothing works. I have searched on the MIUI forums and others have had the same issues, yet with no solutions except for the above mentioned two. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are my only options to try a factory reset or flashing a new ROM? [link] [comments]

Is it possible to shoot time-lapse video with the screen being off? Posted: 26 Jul 2018 09:04 PM PDT Hello Xiaomi users, I recently switched to Redmi S2 and I am already impressed with the camera features on the phone. One of the feature I often try is the time-lapse recording, although I noticed that the battery drains faster as the camera is recording while the phone is active. Is there any option in MiUI to allow the phone to record after a screen timeout or any specialized time-lapse app to do so? [link] [comments]
Xiaomi M365 Electric Scooter Charger Is Heating Up Posted: 26 Jul 2018 05:17 PM PDT Hey guys. Am I the only one who's having an issue with overheating charger? It gets really hot, up to 60C (140F). Especially when the scooter is off while charging. And the charging takes nearly 8-9 hours from 20-30% to 100%. Is that normal? [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jul 2018 07:24 PM PDT This is my first post to this subreddit. I'm looking into replacing my iPhone SE with a Mi A2 and I'm wondering if it will work on my network. I'm on AT&T. I've done a fair bit of research and according to willmyphonework.net it should get 3G coverage, but not LTE, but looking at AT&T forum posts, it should work on LTE bands. Needless to say, I'm a bit confused and wondered if someone could clarify this for me. Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jul 2018 07:11 PM PDT Bought it about 2 months ago so the 30 day and 45 warranties are expired. I love this laptop but I'm having issues with the backlight (?) bleeding on the right hand corner. I noticed it two days ago and it's slowly getting worse. I wouldn't be stressed out about it, but school starts back in less than one month and it would definitely take more than one month to send it to Hong Kong to be repaired and returned. Any suggestions? (My SO who bought it for me is contacting customer support) Is there any leniency with these warranties since the laptop was purchased less than 2 months ago? There are some other random(?) issues as well but the main issue is the screen. Thanks Redditors! [link] [comments]

Mi A2 - has an FM radio, but no 3.5mm to act as antennae - how does this work? Posted: 26 Jul 2018 09:48 AM PDT https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_a2_(mi_6x)-9140.php-9140.php) Is this a gsmarena mistake, in that the SoC has an FM module, but no actual functionality to receive a signal? Or is it perhaps possible to receive a FM radio signal via the usb type C connector... [link] [comments]
Mi Gaming laptop keyboard issue Posted: 26 Jul 2018 05:05 PM PDT I've recently bought the Mi gaming laptop, and right off the bat on day one the keyboard has had issues where it suddenly stops working. The fix is simple enough, put the computer to sleep and wake it up again. But it is absolutely frustrating when it happens in competitive gaming, pretty much guaranteeing a loss. The occurrences are pretty random, but they have only occurred thus far while gaming. Sometimes it happens twice a day, other times I can go for 2 days without it, so yeah. Anyone else encountered this problem and found a fix? My temporary fix is hooking it up to external keyboard but hoping to find something that can solve the core of the issue. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jul 2018 04:53 PM PDT How is everyone's battery doing as well as device temperature. For me i've had the highest SOT of 11 hours and average temperature of around 34°C, weather in the UK is scorching so really humid air etc so may be affecting device temperature. Thoughts?
