Developing a work-life balance app Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:20 AM PDT We are Butleroy, an Austrian startup. We are considering changing our current calendar/scheduling app and putting its focus on work-life balance. The app should help its users to find the balance between aspects such as work, leisure time, family, friends, hobbies, sleep, etc. Here you can see two mock-ups that we created. But before we start developing we'd like to have your opinions, suggestions, experiences, such as, What do you think of our mock-ups? What features would you want in a work-life balance app? How are you currently handling your work-life balance? etc. we are looking forward to getting your feedback! [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app where I can type inside a heart Posted: 31 Jul 2018 11:02 AM PDT I am trying to make a canvas gift for a friend's wedding, but I have to do it on a small budget, so I would like to make it myself. Does anyone know an app where I can write song lyrics in the shape of a heart and save it as a JPEG or similar? I don't want the black outline of the heart, just the lyrics in the shape of a heart. I will post a picture in the comments of what I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:53 AM PDT The app doesn't work for months now, i thought it was a bug at first , but it doesn't work on other devices either. Couldn't find anything about a development stop on the web. I really liked Apphunt. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 09:46 PM PDT Friend and his partner are both going through alcohol and drug sobriety and have lapse then went back to sober. I am looking for a simple tracker that is encouraging but which doesn't push religion or want you to pay for their special program. Thank You [link] [comments] |

[DEV] World Cities Plugin for Muzei Posted: 30 Jul 2018 09:46 PM PDT Hello, I'm the developer of a new plugin for Muzei live wallpaper, called World Cities. All images are sourced from the web (Flickr, but more sources coming soon) and curated by me. It is somewhat common for Muzei plugins to freeze after a few hours or days. If this happens to you, make sure you have battery optimization turned off for World Cities for Muzei (only in Android 6.0 and above, usually in Settings -> Battery -> 3 dots menu). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tux.com.citiesmuzei [link] [comments] |

In the last 2 years, what apps/services have helped you unify your phone and Linux desktop? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:15 AM PDT I'm being specific with the time frame because a similar post was made 2 years ago. I reposted because people might have some new apps or tips. I use Simplenote for notes that sync to the desktop. I'm aware it can be insecure so I'm careful with what I store in it. I'm also aware Standard Notes exists but the features I want are paywalled. If you know other note apps that sync with Linux please share them with me. I use KDEconnect for quick file transfers and clipboard syncing. Is Join (or EasyJoin, I forgot which supports Linux) any better? If yes, what advantage does it have? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] New posture evaluation app Posted: 31 Jul 2018 10:56 AM PDT I developed an app for posture evaluations, where people use photos of themselves to run evaluations and check for problems. I used 4 types of analysis: front, back, sides, and bend test. It covers posture problems like scoliosis, back pain, slouching. What do you think? Is there an app available that saves background layouts? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 10:20 AM PDT I'd like an app that makes it possible to save the way my apps are arranged on my background. Saving the wallpaper and themes of the icons would be a great plus! Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 09:31 AM PDT My flight leaves in a few hours and ive been trying to figure this out for a few days now. Does anyone know if there is a way to get my phone w/ USB OTG to support multiple drives at the same time? Im trying to avoid bringing a computer with me. Weight constraints. So i thought id try and use my phone to dump the memory cards from my cameras to an external driver over USB OTG. [link] [comments] |
Sygic navigation on sale through today Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:41 AM PDT It's an incredible sale. 80% off. North America is on sale for $13.99 and is usually $62.49. is it worth it? I currently use Google maps or Waze for free. Has anyone used Sygic, how does it compare to Google maps? I can't figure out how to create a link to the app store? [link] [comments] |
Is this app would have any use for you? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:23 AM PDT URL: r/https://goo.gl/3dU4mn Purpose of Startup: Our memory works differently then digital so we tend to forget our ideas, achievements, repeat our mistakes. This app helps you to keep track of them as well lets you to summarise each week to short note doing so you can see your life from different angles and improve self awareness. Technologies Used: Android Feedback or Support Requested: I'm not sure if this app has any use for people and if it's worth to develop it further. I would like to hear other people opinion if it's worth to invest time in such idea. Comments: This idea came to my mind when I was looking for ways to learn things more efficient, to learn from my mistakes faster. Before I used to keep 4 different journals for ideas, mistakes, achievements and general notes because I find it really useful. It helped me to keep my self motivated while working on long term projects, solve my mistakes/problems without repeating it too many times and separate good ideas from bad ones, but after couple of years I ended up with more than 10 full notebooks where I couldn't find anything so I developed this app to solve my problem. Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:13 AM PDT I have a moto gp5s with a case with a window in it. But is there a way to modify the lockscreen so I can show notifications on it, cause right now the notifications are below the clock which I cant see. Maybe they can go in the status bar. The status bar right now only shows notifications when its unlocked. I already tried Material Status Bar. If I have to use a custom lock screen app, I want one that supports my fingerprint reader (c Locker does not). Thanks [link] [comments] |

Alarm app that allows user to be forced to type their own dismissal message? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:23 AM PDT I've used alarms where I have to type a captcha code to dismiss my alarm. What I'd like is a way to, instead of typing a code, type a reminder I set myself so my brain will begin thinking about the day's tasks. For instance: my dog recently was diagnosed with diabetes and I must make sure that I wake up with enough time in the morning to make sure he eats so he can get his insulin - not to mention getting myself ready for work. It's there anything like this out there? I feel like the kinesthetic action of typing my own reminder would be pretty efficient. Cheers [link] [comments] |

Why most mobile browsers seems to suck big time? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 01:24 AM PDT Pretty much the question in the title, I would assume that it's because... it might be true. Most of them are horrible. I mean, take chrome for instance, chrome mobile doesn't support a shit-ton of things that desktop chrome supports such as multiple search engines, or tabs, or, and especially this one: extensions. And usually when you find some browser that does support extensions, it's usually kind of trashy in other aspects (such as Yandex or Firefox mobile). The one browser that I saw that I thought it was actually good was the Smooz browser (a mix between Chrome and Smooz browser would be absolutely perfect in my opinion). I just felt in love with the concept and found it amazing (although, there's a lot of room for improvement) Anyway, what you are two cents on this? What browser you guys are using in Android right now? [link] [comments] |
