So I got a hands on of the Note9 and wanted to share a couple of things... Posted: 27 Jul 2018 04:15 PM PDT Was sat down by a rep to show the new features of the phone and what it looks like. Here are some things that was shared: -(New) Base model is 128gb with 6gb of ram. A Ferrari version with 512gb and 8gb of ram will be released as well. -Yes, the battery is now at 4000mah which is a long time coming honestly -6.3" -> 6.4" screen. The bottom chin shrunk from what I noticed to make the screen bigger -S-Pen is Bluetooth indeed and uses capacitors to recharge. Takes 40 secs and is good for 100 clicks. Can remap some of the clicks, and can be used as a remote for camera. -No longer requires a DexPad to connect to PC. Simply a Type C to Hdmi works (rep mentioned they got theirs from Amazon and it works just fine) *No confirmation on Linux being a thing when doing this though, just that Microsoft Office is pre-installed -The off-display color of the writing is now in yellow instead of the usual white -Will be releasing in two colors: Deep Sea Blue (but it looked more grey-ish and not the same as Note8) and Lilac Purple -Expandable storage still a thing, SPen and Note is water resistant In other news, Samsung has apparently heard people regarding the size of the Gear S3 and will offer different sizing options like 42mm and 46mm with various colors (including the ones for females as leaked before). The Galaxy Watch is scheduled to release Q4, and I got no confirmation on when it's being announced (I asked if it'll be on August 9th but they didn't confirm) Apparently some good sales are also coming when the Note9 comes out. Is it worth it to get the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge today? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 08:39 AM PDT I am looking for a new android phone and don't want to spend anything more than 400 dollars on my phone. After doing a few hours of research I have personally decided the S7 Edge is a good phone and worth the 300 dollars I'd pay for it. Would it be better to buy a different android phone? Is there anything I should know about the phone? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jul 2018 03:45 AM PDT So this is going to be my honest review of the j3 prime (2017) I've had this phone for a year and it first it was really fast. Camera was decent and the speakers were fine. It charged fast and touchwiz was beautiful. Battery life was also great. It seemed like the perfect budget phone, and it really felt like it was. However, a couple months later there was noticible lag when going back to the homescreen or when going back to previous screens. The phone just began to slow down alot. Apps that I use everyday like Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube were laggy and transitions from one screen to another were choppy. Do keep in mind I am 14 and I use the phone like a normal teen. I have 2 games only and all social medias except Twitter and Facebook. So my usage is pretty average and most people around my age would proabably use the phone in the same way. The phone isn't very fast in these apps and like I said, at first it was. I doubt it's because of an overload of apps because I barely have any. And if that's an overload than this is a horrible phone. Now my parents have the same phone and they got this phone from a flip phone and they're phone is just fine because they don't use it so much like I do ,and most people would. So if your buying a phone for calls and texts get this phone. Though I will warn you that sometimes messages don't even go through and sometimes the phone lags when going to answer calls. Overall, if you are someone that has any dependence on your phone, DO NOT buy the j3 prime. [link] [comments]
Samsung sold me a lemon dishwasher and is refusing repairs. Any advice? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 10:46 AM PDT I purchased a Samsung dishwasher (model DW80J3020US) from Home Depot in July 2016. Since than, it has had three critical failures. The first was a busted vent fan, second was a fried circuit board and it looks like that's the case for the third failure as well. I called Samsung support and they are telling me they won't cover the cost because the one year warranty has expired. This is the third critical failure in less than 2 years, so I don't really care what the warranty is, it's clear that they sold me a lemon. Is there anything I can do legally, or otherwise, to force them to either repair (or preferably replace) the unit? [link] [comments]

Use Samsung TV's game mode without changing the sound mode Posted: 27 Jul 2018 10:03 PM PDT I would love to use game mode, but one thing about Game Mode that really puts me off is the sound quality. In my games, the sound levels are really inconsistent and way too loud. I can't change the sound mode back to standard without disabling all of Game Mode. Is there a way I can keep the Standard sound while having Game Mode active? My tv is a 2018 Q6F series. [link] [comments]
Is the Samsung Note 8 worth getting? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 09:17 PM PDT I've been using my Galaxy S6 for nearly 4 years now and it's time for a change because my battery life is horrendous. What are your thoughts? Note 8 or S9? Thank you! :D [link] [comments]
Can someone convince on why i should buy the new note 9 over a iphone? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 09:17 PM PDT My old phone broke and i'm looking for a new phone that could survive me for a long time, i was wondering of waiting for the note 9 or getting a iphone 8, anyone that has any of these new notes like the 7/8 and in the future 9 can tell me on why its worth it? 6(?) years old HDTV's Samsung AA59-00600A RC buttons aren't working anymore. Posted: 27 Jul 2018 09:08 PM PDT Hello. They worked yesterday, but not today. Mute button rarely works. We already tried changing its batteries. We tried another Samsung HDTV and got the same problem. We also tried a working RC (same model) with the original Samsung HDTV, and no problems so it is the broken RC. Do we need to buy a new one? :( Thank you for reading, and I hope to get answers soon. :) [link] [comments]

My right ear on my S9's AKG earbuds stopped working, can I fix it? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 07:09 PM PDT The right ear is also out on other audio ports too, not just my phone. It makes a really quiet, staticy noise. [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Jul 2018 02:41 PM PDT People can't hear me when I put my phone on speaker even if I put the microphone right next to my face. Has anyone experienced this? And how did you fix it? [link] [comments]
Tell me why I should buy an s9 Posted: 27 Jul 2018 02:21 PM PDT Hey folks I've been trying to buy my first n i c e smartphone for a lil while now after a series of low-end androids. I was looking at the oneplus 6 and a Huawei p10 plus before (ik this is the samsung subreddit don't roast me or something). My boyfriend is a proclaimed apple fanboy who's been trying to convince me to get a iPhone 6s (based on my price range). I really have been wanting to stay android, however, and my issue before was wanting to stay on my current plan with boost. The other androids weren't compatible. Just found out boost is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S9 tho and there's a sale online that puts it in my price range. But I'm still hesitating. I heard Bixby isn't great and the software updates aren't regular like with google or apple and I plan on having this phone for a while. But I want a nice camera, decent battery, storage. Tell me why I should buy the s9? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jul 2018 01:19 PM PDT I got this watch a year ago. After few months, it stopped charging above 89%. I sent it for repairs, they send it back with a new battery and it still doesn't charge past that, but now it also overheats and stops charging until it cools down. Life happens and fast forward 2 months and I send it again for repairs. They change the battery again and the motherboard. I got it back 2 days ago. The battery was already at 95%, but figured I'd try to charge it to a 100%.. It took a half hour plus some overheating... I sent it again for repairs, but told the guy I was kinda tired of dealing with this and to please just send me a new one already.. Well they do that after the third repair... I mean they keep changing the same parts, I don't see how this time will be successful... Anyone else with a similar issue? Oh and it's not the charger. My partner used my charger and it charged just fine. [link] [comments]
