    I don't like the whole twisting arm coercion thing they're doing with asking users to verify age by signing in with Google (the only option it gives me). So I've decided to not use SwiftKey any more. I don't use any fancy features like swipe/flow just some basics:

    • Has decent emoji support
    • Reasonable prediction/auto-correct
    • Can be resized
    • Has basic theme/color change
    • Isn't spyware

    I'm aware of Gboard but I could never get along with it, and I may as well sign-up with SwiftKey.

    Recommendations?

    [DEV] EasyJoin - Windows 10 notifications testing

    Hi. Is anyone available to test the beta version of the Windows app? The new stuff in this version is that you can integrate the app's notifications with the Windows 10 notifications system.  

    You have to enable the relative setting under "Settings > Notifications" and accept to install an icon in the Start menu.

    Does any reddit app support grouping subreddits in folders? (Not multireddits!)

    On my computer, I have bookmark folders for various interests, such as sports, technology etc. where for example the technology folder has links to tech-related subreddits.

    I'm aware that I can make a multireddit to achieve a similar thing, but I would still have to open the multireddit to then open an individual subreddit.

    So is there an app where I can make folders for subreddits? As far as I can tell, Apollo on iOS has this feature, and Alien Blue had it as well.

    Android can auto-answer regular phone calls, which works great with Bluetooth headsets, and is a built-in feature. Is there a way to make one of the popular VoIP apps (Viber, WhatsApp, Skype, etc.) do the same and if yes which app and how? If not, is there some other, less popular VoIP app that can?

    Just wondering if anyone has any app suggestions or information on apps/Info pertaining to the Google wallpaper app

    As far as I know,if you have a pixel and use this app, there are several"live" wallpapers to choose from. There's only like 5 or 6 in total but does anyone know if there's similar apps that have this effect or if Google plans to add more?cheers

    Android app with "real" PDF text editing?

    Programs like Adobe Acrobat (PC/Mac) or PDF Expert (Mac) allow you to edit text in PDF documents. However, i haven't found any similar apps for Android yet. It seems that all Android apps only can i.e. annotate or create comments, but no real text editing. Do you have some recommendations for me? Thank you!

    Automatic back up solution to PC when on WIFI

    Hey,

    Can anyone recommend a backup solution that meets the following:

    • Backs up to a computer via wifi
    • Triggers only when on wifi, when I connect to Wifi
    • Incremental back up / multiple versions
    • Encrypts the back up as one file

    Lean Launcher Question

    Is there any notes app which preserves the format (like bold/italics) while copying the contents from web? I have seen several apps like Keep, Colornote don't preserve the format.

    I have created my own version for the Wiki Game.

    "The Wiki Game, also known as the "Wikipedia race", is a hyper-textual game designed to work specifically with Wikipedia" (Wikipedia).

    How do you play?

    At the beginning of each game, you will get a pair of random articles from Wikipedia,

    where the first is the starting point and the second is the endpoint.

    Your goal is to navigate from the start to the endpoint using the links within each article, at the lowest amount of time and steps.

    The Wiki Race features:

    Single Player:

    • Earn experience and level up!

    Multi-Player:

    • Send and receive challenges from your friends
    • Race against your friends in a real-time 1 vs 1 match
    • Gather a group of friends and play against each other in a group game

    Photo gallery with nested sub folders?

    I can't stand how every app just lists every single folder next to each other. Its stupid and disorganized. I want one that works like Windows Explorer, with folders inside folders. F-Stop is supposed to do it, and so I payed $5 for it and it constantly crashes on one phone while refusing to download on another. So surely there's another app out there with nested folders?

    I've just release the first release of this app that will allow you to download posts from Instagram.
    It's the first version so it has just one feature, but I want to add more features based on your feedback!

    I need to support also videos and I was thinking about using machine learning to suggest hashtags to use.

    As the title says you can get the premium version for free with a promo code available at /r/AppHookup

    Make sure to read the first comment over there to get the premium version unlocked.

    To redeem the code open the settings screen inside the app on the top right. There is a buy premium button. After redeeming restart the app.

    Hint: remove all white spaces when you copy/paste the code.

    Music player for maximum power saving mode

    I'm trying to keep my Samsung S7 on maximum power saving mode all day and currently the only obstacle to that is the lack of mp3 playing apps that work on maximum power saving mode. Any suggestions?

    Light, basic launcher that works on 4.1

    I use an old phone (running 4.1.2) as a webcam and a couple of other things. I usually run Nova but don't really need most of the features so looking for something more basic and faster.

    I've searched on here and looked at Lean Launcher and Lawnchair. They both look good but don't run on 4.1. Any other ideas out there?

    Can ypu recommend an app that keeps track of your notifications?

    I'm currently using NBubble to keep track of my notifications (mostly twitter) but I'm looking for an alternative because there's a limit of like 40 notifications it keeps track of at a time, so I'm hoping there's a similar app out there that's slightly better. Thanks in advance!

    Is there a travel app that allows you to mark a location on a map and add things like notes, photos, recordings, videos?

    As an example of what I want. At a tourist site, make a pin in a map, add a photo of the location. Dictate notes about the location.

    Textra group chat not working?

    I am trying to start a group chat in textra but my messages send individually. I also receive replies individually. I have tried going to settings and trying chat and bulk but nothing is working. I want all members to receive replies in the group. Any help please?

    Looking for an alarm clock that will definitely wake me up

    I am currently using "I Can't Wake Up", which requires me to solve/complete some simple puzzles that I can't be completely asleep for, and which take long enough that I can't just close it in 10 seconds. It also has an absolutely necessary feature that makes sure I don't go back to sleep by doing a silent awake check after a few minutes which resets the entire alarm (and the check) if it's not attended to.
    Problem is, it has incredibly obtrusive ads, which may blast themselves at full volume, multiple times louder than my alarm after I've turned off the alarm. This can wake other people in the house, which is unacceptable. It also gives me a fright whenever that happens, which is uncomfortable.

    So I'm looking for a new alarm app which is both more difficult to close than just pressing a button, and also makes sure I don't go back to bed.
    Advertisements are okay, but nothing of the incredibly obtrusive nature, as described.
    No advertisements is even better though.
