| Phone is giving me burn marks, and OP is refusing me to exchange/fix my device Posted: 26 Jul 2018 01:11 AM PDT Hi i have an OP3T 128GB and more than a month ago i sent it in to warranty due to "loose usb-c port, and getting randomly hot) the service went fine, they exchanged some parts and returned it. When I get it back, the usb-c port is still loose and the phone is still getting hot in the everyday use. so i sent it in again for the second time this time to CDIT They did the same, change the parts and returned it. still the phone heats up and is borderline painfully to use. so i sent it for the third time on repair. This time again to CDIT and the repair shop states "no fault could be found" so they return my device again... When i got i back i started to use it as regular. installed all my apps and started to use it, i got to work as usual and had the phone in my font pocket. after some time in my pocket the device started to head up and got so hot it burned my leg. picture after this im contacting the support again and they refuse to do anything for me except sending my device to repair again.... what should i do ? the phone is obvious not safe to keep using. Posted: 26 Jul 2018 07:08 PM PDT I know that dash charge cables are proprietary but I can't seem to find the definitive answer of what is actually different that makes the phone / charger knows it's dash charging or not, I know that the cable is much thicker and the contact pins are wider to support more current, but is there like a special pull down resistor or a special pin? I really want a longer cable than 150cm and I don't really like the red, also that the apple 2.0m USB C cable works with 87W charger (20.2V==4.3A) so there definitely are aftermarket USB C cables that can go beyond 5V 4A, I just want to know what triggers dash charge to kick in. thanks [link] [comments]  |

I have no idea what it is downloading but it is eating my data up like crazy. Well over 5 gigs today alone. I updated to oxygen 5.1.3 because resetting and powering off the phone would not stop this from happening. I have auto updates disabled in the Google play store. I have no idea what to do here. After a while Android on the oneplus 3 will just start to malfuction. apps will began to jump the launcher will stop suddenly. the screen will flicker. i would need to restart the phone to have it work normally for a while. i have reset the phone but the issue still persists. is it posssible that the android version is corrupt? i have noticed that the phone does get quite warm when this happens. what should i do. i have recently changed the logic board of the phone though i dont believe that i messed anything up. We have 2 different wifis in our Home. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. The Phone doesnt really Change to the faster one by itself. My Honor9 used to do that. But now it didn't last 12 hours before I got to 15% battery. Here's the album of battery life for the day. Ending at 15% with 5hr 14min SOT. I feel like it took a major hit since the update, as I used to be sitting 12-15% battery with damn near 6-8hrs SOT, but let's be honest, that too was also before 5.1.8. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 26 Jul 2018 07:26 AM PDT I stupidly didn't stock up on enough spare OP3 TGSPs, and now they're unavailable through OnePlus' site and the current one on my phone has cracked. OnePlus support also couldn't help when I rang to see if the company have any spares available. Does anyone have any advice either on where to get an official replacement from, or alternatively which third party glass screen protector to go for? | Posted: 26 Jul 2018 07:16 AM PDT so after some thinking i can finally say that i am part of the OP family! i came from a lenovo p2 and i almost cried when i saw and felt how fast it was. right now i am using the case that came with the phone but i want some better/more grippy phone case.. i saw the Spigen rugged armor onces are those any good? or should i consider another one? want to stay under the 20 euro price range. | Stuck on "Loading Conversations" in default messaging app? Posted: 26 Jul 2018 12:16 PM PDT I used the search bar to look for similar issues but none have been resolved so I thought I'd ask again. Most responses just say to use other messaging apps like Hangouts or Textra. Every once in a while I'll get a text and when I click on the notification, the app the freeze for a bit and then display the text conversation without the new message. If I hit back, it'll bring me to the message hub and just display "Loading Conversations." I can fix it by rebooting my phone but that's not a permanent fix. This is on a OnePlus 6. | PSA if you disable stock mms, in call quick reply will fail Posted: 26 Jul 2018 12:07 PM PDT I recently installed Android messages and disabled the stock mms app. In call quick reply wouldn't work. I would get a message saying my quick reply to an incoming caller was received, but when I checked my outgoing sms texts, and the callers sms inbox, the text was never sent. Oddly, the in-call UI would also not disappear even though it "said" the message had been sent. After reenabling the stock mms app (but still with Android messages set as default) things work perfectly. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 26 Jul 2018 08:21 AM PDT Whenever I wear my earbuds, the sound crackles suddenly. I turn it a little and the Google app immediately pops up with "....listening." The sound occasionally drops too, and just I even move it a little and the audio dropped out and the audio changed on its own. I hope it's not a hardware issue, or maybe it's a software issue. Or maybe it's my earbuds, which I hope not as they're imo expensive Note, I'm rooted. I have Viper4Android, IceSound, JamesDSP and Ainur Sairon installed. Maybe it's because of too much modules, but as far as I know, they always worked pretty well. Does anyone know a fix or is it just my phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. (By the way, notifications for snapchat or discord are delayed or don't even show up, too. I don't know why it works 50/50) [link] [comments]  |
