Hopefully this beast ages like fine wine. Btw does anyone know where to get 1080x2280 wallpapers for the device? All google had was OP6 base wallpapers for other devices to download. Posted: 04 Jul 2018 01:14 PM PDT This is the first phone I've had that was so gorgeous I just couldn't put a case on it. With the popsocket I feel like my chances of dropping it are reduced. And I keep it in a separate pocket in my purse. I know I'm taking a risk but my experience with OP so far has been so great I'll just buy a 6T if I break it. [link] [comments]  |
| This hidden little 'phone' option Posted: 04 Jul 2018 12:21 AM PDT I just want to say how glad I am for the 'swipe up to answer calls' option in the phone settings. I have just come from a Nexus 6p as it decided to get the renowned bootloop problem. Since getting the OP6 I have been nothing but pleased but every time I got a phone call I answered the phone like I always did on my Nexus 6p, I swiped up. To my enjoyment I hung up on every phone call that came in. Not on purpose, on accident, and once I had returned the call I would go back to my busy life to forget about this annoyance until the next phone call came in, where again, this nifty little feature reappeared again. Cursing ensued followed by rushing to return the call and apologize. I finally had time to search on OnePlus forums and found that this option to have swipe up to answer calls instead of the other way around was now included in the most recent software. I am now more pumped than ever, to be able to receive phone calls knowing I won't hang up on these sweet cruise prizes that I keep winning /s Seriously though, I'm really glad this option is there! It always launch stock camera even after changing default camera app in settings. But after unlocked it launches gcam, only problem is when phone is locked. | SIM status, change "My phone number" Posted: 04 Jul 2018 12:42 PM PDT Hey, I recently took out a 1 month rolling contact with VOXI by Vodafone in the UK and certain things stop working after a period of time (Facebook messenger(although I can still send pictures), WhatsApp, Snapchat IM, basically any text based chat) by other things work fine (Facebook, Snapchat images, Reddit etc). Vodafone have told me that part of my issue could be that the "my phone number" field is "unknown" (shown in the image below) or that there may be issues with my sim card settings on my phone. https://imgur.com/gallery/y8UQaTv Anyone know if you can change the "My phone number" section or have any other ideas? It appears that there is a lot of lagg rendering the animation. Else the operating system works fine and I get no lagg elsewhere. After having them for 2 weeks they have developed a fault; the remote button doesn't work at all or will lock in the volume down position. Has anyone else had any problems? | Buyer Beware OP5 Assurant 24month Insurance Posted: 04 Jul 2018 09:22 AM PDT TLDR: Bought insurance for Oneplus 5. Assurant no longer stocks phone. I was offered $500. Insurance after this claim will be considered void. I bought my OnePlus 5 in October 2017 and had absolutely no issues with the phone till a month ago. My 2 year old son threw my phone down the stairs and the screen no longer works. I called Assurant to file a claim and gave my credit card number for the $175 CAD service fee. After a week, I hear absolutely nothing from the company, no tracking info, or any updates regarding my claim. I called back to and I was told they tried contacting me, but my number was out of service. This was my mistake. I forgot to give them my new number, no biggie. I was told someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days later, I get a call and was told they no longer carry the OnePlus 5, even though it's been less than a year since I purchased the phone and plan. What I was offered was the cost of the phone $650 + tax, minus the service fee. This came out to ~$500. Not enough a replacement. I asked if I could speak to someone on getting a replacement, or at least $650 to cover for a new OnePlus. I was assured that I would get a call back within 2 days. 2 days later. No one called. I called back and was told the person just left the office and would be back in a couple days (it was the weekend). After the weekend. No one called. I called back and explained my issue again with the rep. I told them that I read the contract, and yes it did say the cost of the phone minus the service fee would be given. However, I did pay for the two year insurance, which would include 2 replacements in total. The rep told me that once I was paid out the $500, my insurance would Assurant would be void. I asked if I could talk to a supervisor, but was told that the supervisor is in a meeting and would call me back within 2 days. Its been five days now. Am I just hooped? I was under the impression that purchasing insurance would provide a replacement in case anything happened. I'm just surprised that a phone I bought less than a year ago is no longer stocked, and my insurance after this one replacement is void. Does anyone have any suggestions? Since it is relatively old I want to get a completely new phone and started looking around. The OnePlus 6 seems like the package of performance, support and hardware but I am not sure whether it is worth to wait until the 6t gets released if there is one. And my phone have two bugs: What i tried: clearing cache of both contacts and phone app, dirty flashing ROM again, removed and readded google account.
