My 2 cents on OnePlus and future phones Posted: 27 Jul 2018 03:19 PM PDT This post might end up being buried but what the hell. I feel like OnePlus are simply amazing devices but could truly make a mark if they backtrack a bit. Many phones have lost crucial features such as headphone jacks and making the phones as thinner as possible while compromising over more important aspects. I would love it if OnePlus would bring back the now almost non existent option to easily access and remove the battery, to maybe add an IR sensor that takes almost 0 space and is really a gimmick bit an awesome one that I miss dearly. And I hope OnePlus devices don't ever lose the headphone jack cause that would just suck terribly :\ Oh and another thing is the Alert Slider. I don't understand the reason to hard code the positions with pre defined modes. Why not make it customizable. Minimum customizability being choosing which position is which one of the 3 modes or even going as far as including more options. This is 100% a coding problem that is easily solved and I don't see why it hasn't been implemented yet. Anyway... This was just my 2 cents, other than these points I think OnePlus has been doing a pretty damn good job at making amazing phones on a fair budget time after time. NEVER SETTLE [link] [comments] |

Did the latest update kill my Oneplus 3t? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 02:15 PM PDT Noticed my 3T being very slow after the update today. Restarted it again and worked ok for a few hours then the sound stopped working. It worked after another restart but phone was buggy and slow, and suddenly it emitted a loud sustained beep, screen went all black with white lines, and now it wont switch on, or display anything, even with the usual hard reset button combinations, plugged into original charger, pc or nothing. Just dead. Anyone else have issues? ANy advice? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Jul 2018 09:29 AM PDT Sorry this is kind of a lot of text. I bought a OnePlus5 from someone back in February, and had issues soon after with the Bluetooth and GPS. After some posts here, I popped a ticket in, and tried a whole bunch of hardware fixes unsuccessfully. I worked around it keeping the phone within inches of the Bluetooth device, but it got more annoying though, when I was gifted a pair of Bluetooth headphones. I opened a ticket in early May with OP support, and after almost two months of troubleshooting, providing logs, and having an update seemingly break my fingerprint reader, they determined that it was an antenna issue and they need to replace it. Unfortunately though, they said that they could only determine the warranty status if I could provide them the original name/order number. I managed to get ahold of the guy the last day the craigslist relay was active, but he hasn't responded since then. The release date was June 11, 2017, my device couldn't have been more than 11 months old when the ticket went in. It still has the sticker on the back, and OP is still willing to repair it if I pay them -- but looking up the IMEI will be a security issue. I've provided email records, the IMEI, an, everything I can. I wanted a OP device since the 1, and love almost everything about this phone. Right now though, the possibility of a big repair bill is definitely leaving a sour taste, ok hoping that some else at OP might see this and give it a second look, or if anyone else has any suggestions. Tl:Dr - warranty only honored with information I can't get, I'm looking for any help Edit: heard back today that the parts for the phone are $190, not counting labor, tax, or shipping. I really don't know what to do now. [link] [comments] |

Oneplus 3t here, question about lock screen gestures. Posted: 27 Jul 2018 05:35 PM PDT I really love that I can draw a V on my screen to activate the flashlight. Really cool. Most of the time, however it takes me 10 or more tries to get it to work. Does anyone else have this problem? I mean a "V" is pretty simple, there shouldn't be much guesswork on the phone's part as to what I'm drawing. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2018 07:39 PM PDT I cannot find the tilde key on Gboard. Am I over looking it or does it not exist? In order to use the tilde symbol, I have to change keyboards. Where is that darn tilde symbol on the Google keyboard? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2018 03:15 AM PDT I have a OnePlus 3T, which I got in April last year. Recently the in call volume has become really low. The volume bar shows that it's at maximum, but I can barely hear anything. Is there any fix other than getting that speaker replaced? [link] [comments] |

Flashing roms on OnePlus 5T after OB12 Posted: 27 Jul 2018 12:58 PM PDT Quick question, is it safe to install roms (like OmniRom) after open beta 12 on the OnePlus 5T? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2018 05:34 AM PDT Hello ! I just bought two weeks ago the Red One+6 and I have an issue with this one, I checked a lot of topics and hasn't found something like this. My screen froze Days ago, and I forced the phone to restart with volume and power keys, But when I try to power it, the screen ( with the two dots which are roling) freeze after 5 to 10 secs and it try to retart again. Do you lovely oneplus community know what issue could it be ? ( I deleted the cache, made it to factory ... ) Sorry for the broken English [link] [comments] |

Just smashed my OP3 (RIP) is there any reason not to buy the OP6? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 02:26 PM PDT I was originally planning to get the OP6t as a graduation present to myself but now I have a very sharp and pokey glass screen (still functions fine but it's not great) Is there any major reasons not to get the 6? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
OP6 - switching between WiFi and 4G Posted: 27 Jul 2018 08:06 AM PDT Does anyone have an issue with this? When I turn off WiFi, I won't get mobile data signal for like a minute or two, or until I turn airplane mode on and off. [link] [comments] |

Is a Tempered Glass Lens cover needed? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 12:33 PM PDT A friend told me about them, for literally a dollar it seems a decent deal, but is it worth buying one? Is it even needed, and does it affect the Camera? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2018 12:14 PM PDT Had a Nexus 6P for a little over 2 years, broke the screen while trying to replace a few parts. Looking to buy the OP6, how the experience? My main concern is software based as I only ever had Nexus devices. [link] [comments] |
Record 1080p 120FPS on OnePlus 6? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 05:54 AM PDT I would like to record 120 fps 1080p on my OnePlus 6, but there is no option for it. For me it seems possible since it can do 240 FPS 1080p in slow motion mode, so the camera should be capable of 120 FPS. Are there any good apps which could do this if the default camera app doesn't support it? [link] [comments] |
Working stereo speaker mod for OnePlus 5 running OxygenOS 5? Posted: 27 Jul 2018 07:57 AM PDT I tried installing the mod from https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/stereo-speaker-mod-oos-t3632980 but it failed with both TWRP and Magisk. [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 5/5t Update Improves Camera Bluetooth and more - Coming soon Posted: 27 Jul 2018 07:50 AM PDT Here we go! OxygenOS 5.1.4 rolling out. Changelog:
Note: When this setting is turned on, the system intelligently identifies your sleep pattern based on the phone's usage. The phone will then turn off the network during specific periods of inactivity, which effectively reduces standby power consumption. The phone will automatically cancel any network restrictions and get the phone out of Sleep Standby just before you wake up so that you won't miss any notifications such as news updates, emails etc. [link] [comments] |
