| I'm not getting notifications sent on time, if at all, for certain apps. Posted: 04 Jul 2018 02:28 PM PDT For apps like Android Messages, I get my notifications, perfectly, on time. However for other apps like WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Instagram, either the notifications fail to ever get sent to me, the notifications pop up once I actually manually open the app itself, or the notifications arrive really late, like up to an hour after a person sent me something. I have checked a whole bunch of recommended settings and none have worked to help solve my problem. They include:

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:46 AM PDT I downloaded an ad blocker called adaway not through app store and an auto phone recorder app through app store. Other than that nothing. If that's the case, why am I seeing what I am in the two screenshots below? If I click on it it tries to open then closes with an error saying "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped". I could access it yesterday. However, when I press the G.A. button, the headphones simply tell me that I need to enable Google Assistant on my phone. It of course is enabled, and I cannot find anything in settings about it.. In Canada, there is no Youtube Music option available to use as the default music app, even though the service launched a month ago up here. My only options are..... google play music, and regular youtube (vids). Can I force my asssitant to load up THAT menu, by making it think I'm in the US somehow? | Getting not enough space error even with sd card set to expand internal memory. Posted: 04 Jul 2018 08:28 PM PDT Trying to install a game to my phone, getting no space warning with minimal amount of apps. AT&T ZTE Blade Spark. Android 7.1.1. 16GB of internal memory. 32GB sd card. I've double checked that the sd card is set to expand internal memory. (I've googled the sd card as internal memory as I am writing this and it seems to not work with most apps, but I'm still running into low space issues with barely anything installed.) I've went through and deleted all messages with attachments in them. Cleared caches. Disabled all apps I can that are not necessary. I have maybe 15 apps total that I've installed from the store. I've gotten it down to 1.6 GBs free on the internal memory and even if I get this game installed I will run into the problem again when I try and update apps in the future. Also, I store all media on my sd card. Pictures and what-not mostly. EDIT: I was just looking at my phone and my file manager sees the internal memory as one large chunk instead of internal/sd card. Shrug. EDIT #2: So I just discovered that Google Play Music was storing it's cache to my internal storage and that was eating up about 3 GBs. So I moved that over to the sd card and made some more space. EDIT #3: I do not understand how I wasn't able to use the sd card as extra storage for installing apps or upgrading though. Seems kind of against the point of offering to use the sd card in the first place if I can only use the internal storage for apps. [link] [comments]  |

Helpful people will move icons to make it "easier" for her but the icon location is very important to her. She has 5 face book accounts because people will set up an account for her and she forgets that she even has the others and can not figure out how to use it. She has dementia. I need an app that I can hide from her friends, that will lock the positions of her icons and prevent others from adding apps to the phone. They mean well but she has no short term memory. I've been searching for about an hour now and the play store is so saturated with crap that I'll be at this forever. I am on the One Plus 6. And I have 2 sim cards. One for work and one for personal. I work in IT and our server outage notifications come through text. The problem is they come from a different number every time. I need to set it up where texts coming to my work Sim can be set with a loud enough ring tone to wake me up. I would obviously like to sleep through the personal texts. Thanks in advanced! | Posted: 04 Jul 2018 08:42 AM PDT Dear friends, I have just seen the light and bought myself a OnePlus 6. I've been using iPhone since it came out, so I have quite a learning curve ahead of me. Everything is going great so far, except for WhatsApp. I understand it's not possible to simply back all the WhatsApp data up, using iOS, and then just downloading it on the Android (as you would when transferring from one Android device to another, or one iPhone to another) Would you perhaps know if there is a way to transfer this data? But then I get in trouble when I tried to use an authenticator app, every authenticator app I've tried can't run without Google play service.
