| So it finally happened......�� Posted: 26 Jul 2018 04:10 AM PDT I was playing a game on my u11 while sitting outside. And somehow fumbled my phone. This is the FIRST out of all smartphones I've ever owned to shatter. HTC incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy s3, lgg3, lgg4, and then my U11. I dropped it from less than a foot in this case. https://imgur.com/a/RIAbj landed on its back. It's late right now, so I'll upload a pic tomorrow. The back is completly shattered. The entire back (careful if it ever happens to yours, you CAN get slivers from it). It sucks, because it's no longer covered under warranty. No insurance either, as I never once NEEDED it. And we all heard the horror stories from those who HAVE sent them in. Phone still works like it always had. But of course, I'm hella bummed. Still paying for it too. Any advice on a good source on where to get an oem back panel? I'll do it myself if I have too. Can't believe it happened from less than a foot drop. Unbelievable! Gf has an S7. My toddler has fumbled it a few times. And only ever been in dollar store cases. Shattered 4 glass screen protectors. But no damage at all to rear or front of the phone. This is probably the 3rd time I've dropped my U11 since I got it pre-ordered. These aren't just a couple light cracks. It all out shattered the whole back. [link] [comments]  |
