Turn off all vibrations with one click? Posted: 28 Jun 2018 07:05 PM PDT Hello, I could not find any helpful information on this via Google or this sub. I have a OnePlus 6. Is there any way in the settings or some shortcut (maybe via Tasker or sesame shortcuts?) to turn off all vibrations on the phone at once? Right now I have to do it in 2 steps: in the sound & vibration settings and the keyboard settings (I'm using SwiftKey btw). Since I kinda have to do this often I hope somebody knows a way to this quicker. Any help would be appreciated, I'm absolutely open to do this via Tasker but for now I haven't figured out a way that would actually be quicker... [link] [comments] |
Annoying notification after calls. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:34 PM PDT Every time I get a call from a number that is not in my address book, I get a notification like this. https://i.imgur.com/eUxv9Li.png I can't seem to find any way to stop them [link] [comments] |
Issue regarding transferring files from PC to Phone SD Card Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:31 PM PDT I have an S7 Edge and am trying to transfer some files from my PC to my phone. The files seem to transfer successfully on my PC, but when attempting to access them on my phone they don't show up at all, yet the free space clearly decreases by the size of the them. When I restart the phone the free space comes back again. I've tried transferring to my phones memory and then moving them over from my phone to the SD card, but the same issue occurs where it seemingly dissapears after transferring. Any help? Uninstalled Facebook Messnger, and it reinstall's itself! Posted: 28 Jun 2018 02:37 PM PDT So I have an LG Stylo 2 Plus with the latest firmware on it via T-Mobile. Today I decided to go through cleaning out my cell phone of unwanted apps. One thing I wanted to get rid of Facebook Messenger since I don't use it on my phone. Upon uninstalling it and coming back to my phone a couple of minutes later, I noticed that it reinstalled itself (but to an older version.) I wanted to know if there is anyway in which I can remove Messenger without having to root my phone? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
A little help with locating hidden files to free up space. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 04:58 PM PDT I've got an issue trying to free up space on my J7 V. There are about 2gb left on internal storage, but going through the stock file manager states that all files are only taking up about 2.5gb of space. I'm sure a lot of what I've accumulated in hidden files is malware I've caught through... unscrupulous means... (Porn. A horrible past addiction to pornography.) I'm not familiar with Android's directories and the OS, so I need some help with the means of digging through my files and clearing out all the chaff. Since I've never had access to a burner computer to connect this horribly infectious machine to, I don't know if Androids OS is compatible with Windows, and I can just access all files and directories though Windows x86 file system or Is There a more simple solution to this? Question: Use An Older Version Of Online Gaming App Without Being Forced To Update Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:53 PM PDT Is there any way to download and use an older version of an online gaming app in Android OS? There were some more helpful features in the older version, and I had the link to download the older version, but whenever I enter the game, it says, "Update Required: An update is required to play this game", and forces me to go to Play Store and update the game. Please help! Anything would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |

Samsung Galaxy S9 is randomly resending pics to people at 2 and 3 in the morning. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 12:24 PM PDT I have no idea why this is happening, but it is really freaking me out. A few nights ago I woke up to the sound of a text message at 2:00 in the morning. When I looked at my phone I saw like 20 pics from my husband who was sleeping right next to me. There were pics in there that I know for a fact he had deleted from his phone a long time ago. Like photos I don't want anybody, but him to see if you know what I'm saying. I grabbed his phone and looked at it and sure enough his phone sent them just before I woke up. The very next night my phone did it to him at around the same time. Literally every single night my phone is plucking contacts out of my list and randomly resending them pictures I've sent to them in the past. It's always happening at like 2 or 3:00 in the morning which is very disruptive and I don't want people to think I'm actually doing this. Last night I decided to turn off my phone and lo and behold when I turned it on this morning it's somehow still manage to send pictures to people at 2:53 in the morning. The phone wasn't even on. I'm getting really frustrated with this and honestly scared because now I'm afraid that pictures are going to be sent to random people and I'm not gonna know. Does anybody have any insight on this? Is anybody else going through this? Should I be worried? [link] [comments] |
Package installer, MTP, Settings, and Android System keep opening in the background. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 09:47 PM PDT I was watching videos on youtube when I accidently clicked this button to view all open applications and I saw settings open. Later on MTP started opening, and then Package installer, while Android System started opening today and its back to Package installer. Do I have a virus? This started happening 1-2 weeks ago. I deleted all recent and suspicious apps. I don't know what to do. [link] [comments] |
What custom roms are still around? Posted: 28 Jun 2018 09:40 PM PDT I havent used custom roms since cyanogenmod stopped development and was wondering what custom roms are still around aside from lineage os and custom roms based on lineage os? [link] [comments] |
Interested in rugged (IP68) phones Posted: 28 Jun 2018 10:48 AM PDT Hey :), I'm getting into a more active lifestyle, and I've been pondering on getting actually tested phones that way. I'd love to take shots on travels and places where I'm adviced to normally leave my beloning behind in fear of losing (Kayaking, canyoning). I've seen the video from JerryRigsEverything about the Atom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awv0Rs79Mvs and the price seems really doable for a secondary ($220 or €190). Only thing is that it's just on kickstarter which kinda brings the "trustability" factor down (instead of ordering it and just getting your product). Also I'm saying secondary because the incredibly tiny size is just not...that nice as a daily driver. Another option is the Sony compact series. I have a friend of mine who has one and it lasts two days with its battery. He paid €580 for it though, so the fear of just outright losing it is there. My current phone is the motorola moto 5g plus. It takes really decent pictures, while being sturdy as hell with its full metal body. It has fallen on corners and while being cosmetically damaged, the screen is still fine. [link] [comments] |
Help: Samsung Galaxy S8 got black screen after rooting device Posted: 28 Jun 2018 01:29 PM PDT I tried installing a theme using substratum, when I rebooted my device it turned on normally for a second then got a black screen. I tried rebooting it again and putting it into safe mode a few times but neither seem to be working. I also tried enabling emergency mode since I only had access to that apart from restarting but it only gives the "system ui has stopped working" error. Is there anything else I can do? Note 8 screensaver wont turn on. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 05:12 PM PDT I had to get a replacement note 8 and I can not figure out why the screensaver wont come on when the phone is plugged in. It always did on my previous note. I have it toggled on in the settings. I've looked at everything I could. The lock screen just stays on when phone is plugged in. If I hit the right side button I can click it off and the always on display will come on, but it goes back to lock screen if something wakes it up like a notification. Super frustrated at not being able to figure this out, any help appreciated! [link] [comments] |
[LG Aristo 2] Unable to make calls or use data. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 08:50 PM PDT Good evening, I'm unsure if this is the correct place to reach to, however I am wondering if you can provide support for an LG Aristo 2 (X210MA) edition from metroPCS. The phone has been officially 'unlocked' and although it is capable of accepting a sim card from T-Mobile (my carrier) data and voice calls will not go through. I am able to send text messages however, which is strange. I've also considered and attempted in flashing the stock android app and seeing if this would change anything, unfortunately it doesn't and the phone continues to experience the same issue with the original metroPCS sim installed or T-mobile one. Phone bypasses lock screen entirely after being unlocked. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 07:49 PM PDT So after I updated my s9 today I noticed that every time I turn my phone screen off, and then turn it back on before it has locked again, I'm no longer seeing my lock screen at all. Example: I pick my phone up and turn the screen on. Fingerprint required to unlock from lock screen. Open up reddit. Turn off screen. Put phone down for a minute. Pick phone back up. Turn on screen. Reddit pops up immediately, bypassing lock screen (should have to swipe to unlock). What's going on? I looked at my lock screen settings and didn't see anything apparently different. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:47 PM PDT Droid randomly stopped being able to pair with my radio today, and gives me the above reason why. The only issue is there there is not, nor has there ever been, a pin or passkey for my Bluetooth device, and there is no way to make my phone bring up a keyboard to enter the standard 0000. What should I do? [link] [comments] |
I have an issue and I would really appreciate some help, please? I'd be your best friend, I sware! Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:42 PM PDT I have an Samsung phone that I have been primarily using for work. I take pictures of my invoices with them as well as work photos, damages to walls etc etc. Recently the phones screen got seriously damaged, the phone is still functioning but I can't see anything to punch in the numerical password. How can I get my photos off my phone? I know the password and I own the phone so legality isn't an issue. Anyone have a good idea on how to get my photos off of it? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
USB Tethering Issue (Screenshot link in post) Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:27 PM PDT I just bought a new car and i'm trying to link my phone via Android Play. I went to "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering" settings and "USB tethering" is grayed out. I've tried EVERYTHING including multiple USB cords and multiple devices. It's still grayed out and i can't connect to anything. The phone shows that it's charging so i know it's not the USB port or cord. Anybody have an idea of what my next steps should be? Change notification sound of a specific person sending me a message Posted: 28 Jun 2018 02:01 PM PDT Title. Using S7 edge, I want to change the individual notification sounds of each contact sending me a message, is it possible? Someone told me Contacts -> select contact -> edit -> view more -> message tone., but the ''message tone'' does not appear in my S7 edge. [link] [comments] |
Issues allowing 'messages' to be exempt from quiet / DND / etc Posted: 28 Jun 2018 08:44 AM PDT So I've tried everything I can think of to have my phone still send me an audible notification when I receive texts from specific contacts in my phone. I have them set as 'Favorite' in my contacts, I have DND set on custom which allows 'Favorite' contacts to get through and it still doesn't work. Anyone have this working smoothly? It is a stock rom S7 Edge. [link] [comments] |
Alarm volume reducing itself unintentionally Posted: 28 Jun 2018 04:40 PM PDT Hi all, I have a Pixel 2XL and once every month or two my alarm volume drops from 100% to 30-40% for no apparent reason. The phone can't be unlocked without a fingerprint and the volume buttons don't change the alarm volume, so I doubt its setting is changed in my pocket or something like that. I use the stock alarm app and always use the same multiple alarms, just toggle them on/off as necessary. Nothing fancy in their settings either, all use the default ringtone and identical settings besides time. Any ideas why the random volume reduction happens? [link] [comments] |
Images/videos look low quality/grainy. Posted: 28 Jun 2018 12:47 PM PDT Got a problem on a friends Samsung tab where images/videos look like they've been put through an image software. Have been looking and cant find the problem. Not battery saver. And everything in Vision settings looks to be off. https://imgur.com/a/Kt7smPG [link] [comments] |
Help with audio lag watching videos after making a call on Bluetooth Posted: 28 Jun 2018 04:21 PM PDT Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with my phone and I hope someone can help figure out how to solve it. Whenever I am using a Bluetooth device to watch a video (phone, car, etc), the video desyncs with the audio after I make or receive a call (be it regular phone call, or an app call like Whatsapp). Regardless if I receive a call while my video is playing in full screen, or if I simply close the video app and make a call myself, when I open the app again (any app: twitch live or vod, youtube, videoplayer) the video will start playing fine with the audio, but a few seconds later the video will freeze, while the audio keeps running, and then the video resumes 1 or 2s late from the audio. Nothing corrects this behavior besides turning Bluetooth off and on again (and it took me long to figure that out...). I've tried closing the app, closing all apps, clearing RAM, clearing cache, rebooting phone sometimes is not enough. The issue persists with every and any video I try to watch. Does anyone know the cause or better yet a solution? My phone is the Moto G4 XT1625, running Android 7.0 security patch April 1st 2018 [link] [comments] |
