| Posted: 01 Jun 2018 01:53 AM PDT Hi guys, I have seen many requests here for (open source) keyboard apps. Usually AnySoftKey, Hacker's keyboard and AOSP keyboard are mentioned. I recently discovered simple keyboard in the play store. Simple keyboard had the same layout and looks as gboard, but none of its bloated functions. No gifs, contacts, clipboard, autocorrect or suggestions and its file size is less than 1MB. I myself do not have acces to recent versions of AOSP keyboard, because I am running android 4.4 but this seems like the best alternative. I wanted to share the app and maybe someone here could take a look at the code. Given that the app is open source and requires no permissions, I doubt something sketchy is going on though. | [REQUEST] Update open-source app "Materialize" to support Adaptive Icons Posted: 01 Jun 2018 09:25 AM PDT I've been using this open source app called Materialize for a good while. However it isn't maintained anymore, and it seems to be removed from the Play Store. The main problem is that it isn't updated to support Adaptive Icons, and they show up blank in the app list. Link: Github The app itself is fantastic, and I use it religiously in combination with Action Launcher to fix bad icons that aren't covered by any of the icon packs I have. I have tried other alternatives like Adapticons, but it doesn't come anywhere near Materialze's ease of use and result. It uses proper material shadows for shapes, and automatically extends the background based on the existing colors: Example So my request for an updated fork is:

My method has been to use restrictions such as a limited computer use as well as having all apps restricted on my tablet other than facebook messenger for its my only from of communication. The problem is that although I couldn't access YouTube and Google inthe traditional ways I could still access them in the messenger app via links.
