I bought a samsung 4k 55inch MU6300 tv a week ago. And plugged it a brand new out of the box PS4 pro. Sometimes when I play the screen will go black and no sound for 2 or 3seconds. Anyone already experience that issue?

Just cracked my screen. S7 edge

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 05:47 AM PDT

The title says it all. I don't have a warranty because I got this phone as a prize for winning in a hackathon. I am debating whether I should buy the screen+digitizer and repair it or just buy something new. I didn't use the phone for anything important I just used it to browse the internet and play hearthstone.

    Recommendations?

Galaxy S8 Plus incoming calls not working and restarting

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 08:31 AM PDT

When I answer calls I cant hear anyone on the other end and the call ends. It then sometimes freezes the phone and restarts.

Anyone else have this issue or have any idea what's going on?

Samsung s7edge mobile Samsung video app Samsung ks9000 4k tv

    Hi there,

I've used smart view screen mirroring for over a year without issues.

I use it for work, play , family etc.

I make a video and then I smart view to my Samsung ks9000 with the Samsung video app and it always works.

It has stopped working. The tv will mirror the phone but not Samsung video. All it does is say processing until it fails.

I've done a full Samsung s7 edge reset but it didn't help.

Other video apps will mirror, like mx or vlc but they are inferior to Samsung video.

I need to be able to keep using my phone while it streams. With samsung video you can watch a film while using other apps.

I spent about 2500 £ to be able to do this on phone and tv and now I can't do quite annoyed.

Can some one advise please ?

I dropped my phone and scratched up the metal frame pretty badly. Does anyone know if Samsung can replace this piece, and if so, how much they charge?

Samsung TV is sending lots of data to akamai.net

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 04:03 PM PDT

I looked this up and people say it's malware for p2p. Most (well...all solutions) I have found have been for windows 10....but this is on a samsung smart TV. How do I disable this because that's A LOT of data being transferred and it's eating up my stupid data cap.

Screen protector suggestions for Galaxy S9+?

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 04:56 AM PDT

So, I got a Galaxy S9+ recently with an Invisible Shield Glass Curve Elite screen protector, which has already gotten scratched up, has bubbles that refuse to go away, and the black outline of the protector cuts off part of the screen. As a result, I'm in the market for a new screen protector, preferably a tempered glass that's oleophobic, scratch/fingerprint resistant, and with a clear border that's compatible with my case (https://www.amazon.com/Tactical-Case-Samsung-Galaxy-Black/dp/B07B4NZ5JK/). Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Gray bars appear at the of my screen if my wallpaper is black.

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 07:46 PM PDT

I'm on an S7 and if I set my wallpaper to something that is primarily black a gray bar shows up at the top of my screen. It goes away when the brightness is above 45ish percent, but on low brightness it is very noticeable. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

    Sending gifs via text

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 04:39 PM PDT

I found a gif I liked and tried to text it via SMS with the stock messaging app and got a static picture. Got this both when doing a copy/paste from the web and trying to upload from my pictures.

Then downloaded and tried Textra and got an error sending message.

Tried this with two different versions of the gif from different sites.

How do I send gifs via text?

    Device Maintenance on Verizon

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 11:42 AM PDT

Hey everyone, I have a S8 Plus and my carrier is Verizon and when I first got it a few months ago I tried to get and use Device Maintenance, but I guess Verizon had stripped it out. After the Oreo 8.0 update I now have the device maintenance option in my settings menu and as an edge panel that I can use to optimize my phone. If you guys have Verizon you should check as well. I'm really glad I have it now.

Samsung Messages - Chat vs Text Message

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 04:44 PM PDT

I like the Samsung Messages app for the most part, but I noticed that it was not working at all with Android Auto. I went to switch back to Pulse for my SMS and noticed that only a handful of my text messages pulled through. Doing a little more digging I found that the messages that pulled through showed as "Text Message" while the ones that did not showed as "Chat" in Samsung Messages. I'm guessing this has something to do with why these messages don't work in Android Auto also.

So, what determines if it's a "Chat" or a "Text Message?" I thought maybe it was a Samsung-to-Samsung thing or possibly T-Mobile's RCS implementation, but messages that are going to non-T-Mobile, non-Samsung users are showing up as chat as well. Can anyone provide some insight?

    I'm on a T-Mobile Galaxy S9.

Anybody went from Note 8 to regular S9?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 09:41 AM PDT

Just curious if anyone has made this switch. I love the Note 8 that I have. However the pen isn't super useful for me as I dont find myself using it much, and I often wish I had a smaller phone. I have had a large phone since the iPhone 6S Plus, including the 7 Plus and now the Note. The screen space and battery is nice, but probably not completely necessary for me. Has anyone here went from Note 8 to regular S9? And if so, what are your thoughts?

Edit: Just noting that the Note 8 is my first Samsung phone ever, and I've had it since December.
