Apps for walking with specific features?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 07:33 AM PDT

Hello. I am looking for an app that tracks my walking. I am looking for some specific features so I hope you can help me find something that fits.

    • It doesn't need to count steps per se. I know they're not very accurate. I don't care if it has this feature, it's just not necessary.
    • It needs to count an approximate of calories that I lose with each walk
    • It has to work with screen off/locked phone and also does it's job in the background.
    • it has to count basically all the times I move. I do very small walks and I'd like to see if that counts for something. I don't do planned or long walks so that's not what I need to track, if it makes sense.
    • It'd be nice if it can count the speed I'm walking at.

Basically an app that tracks my walking and the time, speed and calories, that works on the background or with screen off.

I hope something like this exists. Thanks so much in advance.

Nice new note taking app, just discovered

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 03:53 AM PDT

This app has some well thought features, launched in Dec. 2017 and only 100 downloads so far. A few points for improvement but overall a sweet and useful app.

    Hiking/Walking map tracking app?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:41 AM PDT

I used to use My Tracks by Google in order to track my hikes on a map. I really liked how it shows time, elevation, the track and then you could export it to Google Maps, but I hear My Tracks ended development.

Does anyone have good suggestions for an app like this? I have a Samsung Note 5 and the exercise detection is pretty sweet, and of course Google is tracking where I go on the map every minute, BUT I wanted something more precise.

    Looking for an app.

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 06:45 AM PDT

Okay, so the situation is that I recently got a new flat, and I am expecting visitors regularly, but they don't necessarily know each other. Is there some lightweight app that could schedule visits so everyone could see when a place is available? Google calendar pops to mind but there may be a better app.

Looking for a task app that syncs quickly

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:55 AM PDT

I'm going to run my Nexus 7 2012 tablet full time as a task app with the screen always on. I'll use my phone to add tasks, I want the Nexus to update as fast as possible and show the task. Syncronization is required, and as fast as possible. Any ideas?

Freeze Apps at specific times of the day (and unfreeze them later)

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 10:52 PM PDT

Hi, I use Titanium Backup to remove all the bloatware from my phone. And this work great. But I was interested in finding an application that would freeze specific applications at specific times of the day. I could turn off WhatsApp and Google Maps during work hours. I can do this using individual titanium widgets - but its a bit of pain. Any suggestions would be great. Regards

    APKMirror App

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 06:41 AM PDT

I am really surprised that we dont have a good app for APKMirror. Using the website on a mobile device is not the best idea. Am I missing something here.

P.S. I know there is a light webapp on XDA labs, but it is nowhere near as polished as a native android app.

Best app to track mileage for billing?

App to block apps by default, but with temporary (timing-out) unlock?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 08:03 PM PDT

Hey, looking for a very specific app. Problem I'm trying to solve is that I am generally trying to avoid wasting time on Chrome.

I want to keep Chrome on my phone because there are times when it comes in super handy. The dream app I'm looking for would be: hit a button to unlock Chrome, but that unlocking expires after some period of time (say 15 minutes), after which I need to hit that button again if I still want to keep going. I recognize that I could use an app that permanently restricted access, which I turned on and off (I had a schedule-based app that did this for a while), but the problem with this is after disabling the block, I never remember to turn the block back on!

Very specific, I know, but anybody aware of something like that? I looked into ( OFFTIME ) but it didn't actually manage to block chrome on my phone (Android 7.0, Moto G5 Plus).

Is there an app that does what greenify does (hibernate apps), but select the which apps to hibernate automatically?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 01:10 PM PDT

Like it will hibernate apps that has not been opened for a week, and once it is opened by me, it will stay awake until another week has passed?

Something like that, is there an app that does that?

    Thanks.

[DEV] A simple quotes app for the thinkers

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 09:00 PM PDT

I have never made an app until now and wanted to try something simple while still keeping a fresh vibe to it. I admire the developers that are as skilled as they are, so hats off to you. I plan to do more in the future, so wish me luck! I even have a few gaming app ideas I'd like to noodle out. But first, I wanted to throw this baby out there just to see if it could merit an audience of sorts. Thanks for checking out this post!

It's got a lot of dark-ish themes whilst still maintaining a sort of inspiring atmosphere made up of mostly original content, so my fingers are crossed it adds something new to the table =) The app can be found by typing in Quotes Wavdroid in the PlayStore or by this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.r4.davec.quotes

What's a good package tracker app

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 12:02 AM PDT

I feel like a lot of the decent package trackers just stop working after a while or just stop getting updated. Any good ones beside aftership, parceltrack, slice and shiprack, Google. I'm looking for the ones that either you can forward the email to send it adds and or it checks for updates server side and sends you a push notification when there's an update. The app deliveries is great but I don't like that you have to set it to check every 3 hours or what not.

    ---- Features -----

    ▶ Active App Color

Navbar Tools app add colors to your navigation bar according to the app you use.

    ▶ Static Color

If you don't want Navbar Tools to use the "Active App Color" then don't worry you can select a static color also that will remain same on navigation bar in all apps you open.

    ▶ Animations

Navbar Tools animate the color on Navigation bar each time you switch to a new app.

    ▶ Navbar Images

Want to use image on navigation bar? Don't worry you can also add an image on the Navigation bar.

For more attractive custom images you can join our Navbar Tools GooglePlus community. In that community we frequently add new Images.

    ▶ Battery Percentage

By enabling this feature Navbar Tools app will show your current mobile battery percentage in the navigation bar. It also gives to option to show this percentage in different positions.

▶ Small Size & less battery drain

As compared to other Navbar Customization apps available in market this Navbar Tools app is small in size and definitely will drain less battery.
