| Replacing MAC HDD with SSD - Thermal sensor Posted: 16 Apr 2018 11:31 AM PDT Haven't swapped one yet, what do I need to look out for? My understanding is the thermal sensor won't work and will cause the fan to crank at 100%. Do I need to buy a thermal sensor from someplace (Canada) or is there a hack to prevent the fan from running full out? We are using the clients existing SSD so buying a model with the sensor built in isn't an ideal option. [link] [comments]  |
