Any apps that legitimately changed your life? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 06:30 AM PDT Basically the title, but has anyone found an app that actually changed your day-to-day life? Other than social media. Any apps you can't live without? [link] [comments] |
Duplicated results in Google Drive search Posted: 18 Apr 2018 05:50 AM PDT I get duplicated search results of the same single file (with different modified dates) in Google Drive. I'm getting scarier and scarier of modifying a text file because if I pick and update the wrong one I'm going to lose data. Am I missing something here? Anybody else with the same issue? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 07:41 AM PDT I'm using an LG V20. If the legal info matters, I'm in the US, specifically Arkansas. I'm looking for a call recording app that can record my calls and upload them to Drive or similar software. The problem is, I don't trust a lot of these apps to keep the calls without listening in on them or breaching my privacy. I know, I know, I'm a bit paranoid. Are there any apps that will safely allow me to store my calls? Thanks. [link] [comments] |

Other Oreo users: has Poweramp not been respecting Audio Focus for you? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 06:01 AM PDT This started for me when i updated for Oreo. Power amp (even with the auto start options turned off ) 9 times out of ten will start up even if i was just playing audio from another app when connected to BT. This never happened on Nougat and seems to happen more an more frequently now for what ever reason.Just wondering if it happens to anyone else? [link] [comments] |
Any good Android Live Weather Apps? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 09:52 AM PDT Long story short, I have been using KISS launcher, it is awesome in its simplicity and usefulness and might actually stick with it. Except for one caveat, it only allows for one widget, which I currently use for transportation info. So, I wanted to see of there was any good live wallpaper that showed the weather. So far, and funny enough, I was using Paperland as it shows the weather indirectly in the scene it shows. Anyone use a better app? Or what do you use? No, I do not want a weather app that you have to go into it in order to get the weather, those are a dime a dozen. Widgets are also a no go. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
I'm conducting research for a project on mobile photography apps. Please send help. Posted: 17 Apr 2018 02:12 PM PDT Hi! I'm conducting research for a project on mobile photography. Looking for a camera app that allows media to be played simultaneously Posted: 18 Apr 2018 09:00 AM PDT I'm looking for a camera app that doesnt shut down the media im playing in the meanwhile whether it's Spotify or YouTube etc. Does something like that exist? [link] [comments] |
Wanted: SMS/TXT & Chat Hybrid App Posted: 18 Apr 2018 12:11 PM PDT I've only come across 2 apps that send SMS and auto-convert to Chat if the other person. So I am hoping I missed some somehow and you guys have suggestions. Verizon Messages -- Currently using. Sends texts and if someone else is using the app, it converts it to a "Verizon Message" with no size limits, lets me know if a message has been read, the other person is typing. Also has PC and Tablet support. Don't like: Tablet and PC Sync is wonky Signal - Signal worked very well and I would still be using if there was a web interface (desktop app is blocked by work firewall) and if it had a tablet app. I switched from this to Verizon for the features listed previously. Don't like: No Tablet Support, PC App blocked by firewall, no "real" chat with live feedback. And before anyone comments, why use SMS? Because in the USA nobody can or will agree on a universally used messaging app and I don't want or want others to have 10 different messaging apps to communicate with people. [link] [comments] |
Roboform password app. How safe is it on Android? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 12:03 PM PDT I like the fingerprint scanner but it just doesn't feel safe to me? Also are there any deals going on with this app? Thanks [link] [comments] |

An alternative app to google music? Posted: 18 Apr 2018 10:16 AM PDT Now, it seems google music app allows the user to upload up to 50k sounds to their cloud, for stream later. But you are required to input a credit card in order to use the service. I don't like these "it's free but you MUST give us your credit card info......but it's free." services, it's just fishy no matter how much i think about it. If i wanted to pay for a service like that i would, but i am looking for a free (with optional upgrade to paid) service. Is there an alternative to google music? I doubt it but i thought in ask. Looking for raise to wake feature for Android Posted: 18 Apr 2018 09:43 AM PDT It's the one of the most convenient features of the iOS. I'm trying to achieve similar functionally on Android. Found WaveUp from F Droid, it kinda solves the pocket wake problem but it does not work for just picking up the phone from flat surface. Suggestions? [link] [comments] |
