    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 05:03 AM PST

So I've been reading around and seen that the android oreo update have come out on the s8 and s8+ but when I go to update my phone, which is still on nougat it's telling me I'm up to date with the latest software. I have a unlocked Exynos 8895 version. Is there any specific route I need to take to get the update?

    Bixby on Gear S3!

    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 05:50 AM PST

I recently spoke to someone at Samsung and finally got the answer to a question many have. Yes Bixby is going to be added to the Samsung Gear S3. The Gear s2/s probably won't get it and I'm not sure about the Gear sport. But I got the confirmation that they are working on the update for the Gear S3. Bye broken S-Voice :)

S6 Edge to S9, worth it?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 03:02 AM PST

Since the s9 is coming out soon, I've been looking to upgrade. My phone is laggy as hell, the screen has a pink line on it, my audio recently started lagging out, and battery life is crap. Is it a huge upgrade to get an S9? Audio is a huge thing with me and I would love to hear the stero speakers.

Connect NAS (WD MybookLiveDuo) to samsung smart tv (UE60KS7005), not able to find NAS anymore? What happend, you've removed option to connect NAS?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 07:47 AM PST

So I have a UE60KS7005 samsung smart TV which I bought in januar 2017. When I bought it I connect my MyBookLiveDuo 6 TB NAS harddisk. When I did it when I had bought the TV I remember there was absolutely no trouble with it, and I was able to do it in mere minuts, without downloading any apps or do anything special on the TV.

Now the past weeks I was unable to enter my NAS harddisk for unknown reasons, so I decided to remove it from the App list where it was placed and trying to find the harddisk once again, however now I am unable to connect to an extern harddisk through an internet connection. Now there is no longer such an option available and i'm sitting here trying to figure out what happened, if it some sort of new update where you removed the capabaility to connect to a DLNA compatible NAS-harddisk for no reason? or you just made it mission impossible to set it up for normal human beings? :)

    any help appreciated!

I have a smart tv. My wifi is extremely slow and I'm trying to watch YouTube videos from my phone. Is there a way to watch them while using data? Since the wifi is slow the videos take forever to load

    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 07:09 AM PST

I tried using the tv code to connect to just my phone but even then it loads as slow as if it were on wifi

    Samsung S9 vs Sony XZ2?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 04:38 AM PST

Samsung seems to have better low light pictures, while Sony has better shots during day time. Any thoughts?

[Samsung S8] Cannot preview photos just taken without unlocking the phone?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 03:14 PM PST

Going crazy. Googled all over and can't seem to find the answer.

I have a Samsung S8. If I double tap the power button, the camera app opens, without unlocking the phone. If I take a few photos, it will show a little Gallery preview in the bottom right corner.

Now, on my Note 8, if I click the Gallery preview, it shows me all the photos I've just recently taken. If I swipe too far, it says "Please unlock your phone".

However, on the S8, shen I tap the Gallery preview in the bottom right, NOTHING HAPPENS. It clicks, and then nothing happens. No slow down, no attempt to load, nothing. Just a dead button.

    Is that proper? Going crazy...

Best display mode to use for S9

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 08:52 AM PST

I've just pre-ordered the Galaxy S9 and would like to know what the best screen mode to use is. I had the S8 and was very confused with everything - all the other modes except 'Adaptive' were very red but not oversaturated, while Adaptive had a cooler white tone but was definitely oversaturated.

Is a cooler white tone like the iPhone has even accurate, or is the warmer white tone of the other modes more accurate?

Is there a 'best' display mode to use? Preferably one that includes all the colours of P3 and beyond but is also as accurate as possible to how colours are meant to be seen.

    Thanks!

Will S8 get the new improved camera app in an update? Or is it only for the s9.

Anyone else wonder what the promotion for purchasing an S9/S9+ is?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2018 12:35 AM PST

Haven't been on the Samsung promotions website in a while and I see there is nothing in the mobile category now. Wonder if they will even offer anything?

Why are there no nice leather cases for the s9?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 11:07 PM PST

I'm talking about something like this, which ages and darkens pretty nicely. The closest you can get is the Alcantara case...

    S8+ Loose camera/sensor

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 11:53 AM PST

I dropped my phone and it no longer charged (temperature too low issue) so I got a local shop to fix it. I'm just out of hospital so I asked someone in my family to go pick it up and they didn't notice that the camera and sensor on the back are loose.

I phoned the shop and they said they'll fix it no problem, just a bit of glue.

Since then I'm now a bit worried - this is a waterproof phone, won't there be some kind of rubber gasket there?

AT&T Galaxy S9 Promotional credit information?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 06:29 PM PST

I order the S9+ from AT&T with a trade in, they are doing a $300 in store credit with the trade in, is that allowed to be put towards my monthly Bill or is the promotion strictly in store items?

Anyone that works at AT&T got inside information? The sales Rep said in store credit only, but my friend at AT&T said that doesn't sound right. He's in another state with a different authorized retailer though.

Cannot see photos on sd card from the Gallery app.

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 10:08 PM PST

Since the update, I cannot see my pictures stores on my sd card. I tried installing, reinstalling the update and it doesn't fix it. Only the Gallery app has this problem.

S7 Rogers update out anyone know what it's about?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 08:46 PM PST

Should I get my S7 repaired in order to trade it in for an S9 at AT&T?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 08:37 PM PST

So I dropped my 32gb last night during the wind storm (the wind made me drop my phone twice). The back is cracked (spider web style) in 3 corners of the back of the phone. Got an estimate of $69.99 to repair it.

Now, is it worth it to get my phone fixed just to trade it in to AT&T for their S9 trade in promotion?
