Huge ghosting when scrolling dark/black areas on OnePlus 5T Posted: 31 Mar 2018 04:50 PM PDT Do you guys also notice huge ghosting when scrolling in Relay for Reddit app while using Night OLED theme? It is I think 5-10 times more noticeable than on my OnePlus X screen. When I scroll between links: seen (gray) and not seen (black), I see a purple/blue line that appears in between and quickly disappears as I finish scrolling. It can get up to 2-3 mm wide when I scroll the screen. [link] [comments]

Buying a 5t factory wood case in the US? Posted: 31 Mar 2018 07:39 PM PDT My sandstone case is starting to go and I'd like to replace it with one of the OP 5t wood cases. Ordering from OP, the case is $29 and another $25 for shipping!!! Any ideas where I could score the same case but save a bit on shipping? Thanks gang. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 07:26 PM PDT I just installed the latest Open Beta 5 on my 5T (6 GB version), and I think the RAM issue has been fixed finally. In a few hours, most of my apps would relaunch if I used them, and the phone would only store 5-6 apps in RAM despite only using 3.5 GBs in settings. The new Open Beta fixes this, so I'm hopeful this fix will make it way to the stable channel whenever the update rolls out. [link] [comments]
The notch is not a problem. The price is. Posted: 31 Mar 2018 12:09 AM PDT At the end of the day it's not a problem. Oneplus is smart. They are aware of the general reponse to the whole notch, so they might add an app that allows to hide the notch and give it a OP5T look, kind of like what P20 pro did. So for everyone that says the notch is a dealbreaker, it really isn't. The real deal breaker is the leak that showed that the 256 GB Version of the OP6 costs 750$. THATS NOT WHAT I BUY ONEPLUS FOR! I buy it knowing that I don't need a big name like Samsung or apple , spending huge amounts of money for a phone that could easily cost less but they choose to have a bigger profit. Without the low prices it looses its value. And it's likely to happen to. Last year everyone saw what a game changing phone it is and how great they are as a company , so it wouldn't be a problem for them to really change things up and becoming the next Samsung, I really hope not. Let's just hope it's gonna be a 550 or less phone, so it keeps its biggest card, the bang for your buck. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 08:14 AM PDT I just got a 5T today, and one thing that's really annoying is not having the recents button open the settings with a quick press, and I can't find any option in the button settings to do this. Is there a way or do I just have to live with it? Also, I upgraded from the original OPO, which would occasionally get stuttering through bluetooth in my car, which was supposedly an issue when wi-fi was enabled. In the car today with my 5T, it was way worse than I've ever had before. Is it still the wi-fi causing this, and is there a solution besides turning wi-fi off every time I get in the car? Posted: 31 Mar 2018 06:47 PM PDT Hello everyone. Imagine the 2 phones above had exactly the same specs and price, with the only difference being the screen. Phone 1 has a notch on the top to make room for a little extra screen, while phone 2 has a full bezel instead. Which would you rather buy? Why? [link] [comments]

One plus 5t paint chipping from silicone case Posted: 31 Mar 2018 09:55 AM PDT Hello guys ! I came across this issue online and I'm wondering since I don't want to ruin my phone, have you experienced this yourself ? [link] [comments]
Happy Oneplus insurance customer Posted: 31 Mar 2018 03:02 PM PDT Just thought I would pop in here and say how happy I have been working with the assurant insurance program with my 3t. Gave it to my mom when I upgraded to my 5t and the 3t is having freezing and data issues. Contacted them and they are sending me a Oneplus 5 free of charge. Free upgrade Oneplus, please continue the insurance/extended warranty with the Oneplus6. I am really sad I couldn't purchase it on my 5t [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 02:55 PM PDT Hello everyone, I hope you're all good! I know there must be lots of threads talking about it, but the situation here is slightly different: I just sold my Xiaomi Mi 6, which I liked a lot. I just sold it because of two downsides: size (too small) and the not soooo good development. Anyway, I have decided to go for the OnePlus. But, I'm not 100% sure if I should buy a new one from China or an used one from someone here: 1) OP5: 4 months used (according to the guy), 128 / 8 GB model. Some small scuffs in the body (not a big deal). Pros: no waiting time, no import duties, cheaper ($484 USD); Cons: used phone, older model. 2) OP5T: brand new, 64 / 6 GB model. Pros: new phone, new model; Cons: waiting time (about 40 business days), Brazil charges 60% over the value of the product (so, $514USD + $308 taxes. But, Light in the Box has a "Duty and Tax Insurance" that should pay me back in case I'm charged this much. Not sure if I can trust them, though). Considering that 64 GB is more than enough for me and I don't play any games on my phone, should I go for the OP5T or it'd be a better value the OP5? (the OP5T 128 / 8 costs $635 USD. I intend to have this phone for, at least, two years, but I think it's a bit too expensive). Finally, the development for both phones are the same thing, right? I looked at XDA and it seemed there are lots of unified things, since both phones are internally the same. Thank you a lot and sorry for the big text! [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 08:16 AM PDT I was wondering if anyone in the Chicagoland area was interested in doing a group order. If we spend $100+ shipping is free. I wanted to order another screen protector for the 5T, which is $19.95. Stand shipping is $6.99. As a college student every dollar is sacred, so I'd like to save that $7. If anyone else is interested, let's do this. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 01:52 PM PDT Has anyone here bought a screen replacement for the 5T? I dropped my phone so the top part of the screen is cracked. I've replaced a fingerprint sensor on my old OP3T before so I'm confident in switching out the screen myself. I'm worried about getting scammed though. When I looked at prices I saw a range of $60-$180, so I'm not sure who to trust. Does anyone have a reputable seller or any first hand experience? [link] [comments]

Looking to get a new screen protector for my 5t, which one do you suggest? Posted: 31 Mar 2018 01:18 PM PDT I'm not a huge fan of the screen protector I got with my 5t and it's a bit scratched up so I'm going to replace it but I'm not sure which one to get. Do any of you have suggestions for which one I should get? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 03:01 AM PDT Hey all, I've smashed my iPhone SE phone screen and metal casing to the point that it's not really fixable or useable, and I've been eyeing off the OnePlus range for a while. I've just jumped on their website to do a bit of investigating, and they say they've put sales in Australia on hold for the time being - anyone know what's up with that? Can I get around it or will I have to wait until they bring them back? Sorry if I've missed something totally obvious, I've done 0 research about this particular topic but thought I'd ask here. Posted: 30 Mar 2018 09:38 PM PDT So Im a digital journalist, who used to work with an iPhone 8 for work. now that I'm out of work and freelancing on my own, I wanted to know what video recording apps work best with the OnePlus 5. While the default video recorder is great, I need the ability to adjust and lock exposure and see the levels of external microphones. I used to use Cinema FV-5 for my Oneplus One, but the quality seemed to dip a lot, even when shooting at 1080p. [link] [comments]
Using a European OP3 in the US Posted: 31 Mar 2018 02:44 AM PDT I'm traveling from Germany to US in April and plan on getting an AT&T prepaid SIM for data. Will I be able to get a connection with LTE speed? Or are there any band restrictions or differences between phones sold to the US and to Europe? The OP3 has quad band, so I should be fine, right? I don't need to phone or text, I plan on just using mobile data.. [link] [comments] |
