Issues with screen while gaming. Posted: 24 Feb 2018 07:20 AM PST I'm hoping you guys can help me with my laptop issues. I have an MSI GT70-2QD running Windows 8. The GT70 runs integrated graphics for desktop and basic operations, then switches to a nVidia GTX970M while gaming. I have had the GTX970M replaced twice in this laptop already, and the motherboard once. Shortly after receiving the laptop from the second graphics card replacement, the laptop would occasionally begin looking like double vision(Also, is there another name for this?). When this started, I could get out of the game I was playing, and it would go back to normal and I could re-enter the game and continue playing. As of recently, exiting the game does not reset the screen. The only way to get the screen to return to normal now is restarting the laptop. The screen issue does persist between integrated and dedicated graphics. I had prompted this issue to the internet previously and the only suggestion that arose was to turn off hibernation and fast start up. I have since done that, and the issue still persists. Is this a hardware issue? Laptop screen issue? What diagnostics can I do? Thank you in advance for any answers! [link] [comments] |
