    Hey!

I haven't done any code giveaway lately and I thought I might do another one now, when I've got new batch of them. There was always such need for premium options in my apps and I like to give away codes anyway, so lets do first app-promotion in 2018!

Below you can find quick overview of each app if you dont know them yet. All of them are available for free, but codes enable some extra features inside that you might be interested in.

If you need any help from me, I will be here for some time here.

I hope you will enjoy this giveaway as much as the other ones!

    Damian

If you are bored of your Navigation Bar, this app is for you! Navbar Apps lets you change this element of the system in few simple clicks. [Dev] Introducing Chromer 2.0 (now called Lynket) - A better way to browse on Android

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 10:22 AM PST

    Hey r/androidapps!

I am the dev of Chromer and I am excited today to share what I have been working on. Chromer is now called Lynket, derived from Italian (Linguetta) for Tabs. This is due to play store policy compliance.

Why another browser app? I recommend reading my announcement article here or watching the promo video

2.0 contains major improvements to Chromer's internals. Chromer started as a way to open Chrome Custom Tabs which are light weight instances of your favorite browsers. But now the app has evolved significantly with new use cases.

In short, Chromer is proper evolution from WebView based background loading started by Link Bubble. Chromer now does that using Custom Tabs which leads to interesting benefits.

And my favourite feature : Article mode.

Article filters all unnecessary content (ads) and presents it in a neat interface. Technically it does not even use WebView here and uses RecyclerView. Means when you load a big article, only visible part is rendered first and rest are rendered as you scroll = smooooth.

    Examples:

Really excited to know your feedback! Can't believe its already 2 years since I launched Chromer. First post on Reddit: here.

Chromer is fully open source and free. Source code.

    DOWNLOAD

    Thanks! Available for any questions.

Is there an app that can block a range of spoofed numbers? (ex. Block any number in the (555) 555-XXXX range)

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 08:38 AM PST

I get calls daily from spoofed numbers with the same area code and local exchange as me. The first 6 digits are the same as my number and they will spoof the last 4 digits. Is there any app out there that will block an entire range of numbers?

    [DEV]Another terminal-like Android Launcher

    Posted: 27 Feb 2018 05:02 PM PST

Hi there, I'm Dan. I'm here to introduce my app called Aris Launcher(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.aris). It's a terminal-like Android Launcher, which is similar to this app(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ohi.andre.consolelauncher). They are generally the same, except that in Aris Launcher, you can connect two or more items and complete your workflow instantly.

I came up with this idea from Linux. In Linux, you can pass one thing to another through piping. At that time I was thinking, if I can use it on my cell phone I can save lots of time copying and pasting. For instance, if I want to send A's number to B, I need lots of steps to get this done. When I applied the piping concept in this Launcher, it became so easy — just type A->B.

I call this a connection. The symbol -> is a connection. A->B means "connect A with B", which can be translated into "share A to B", or "get A's output and input it to B".

Based on this idea, I developed some plugins for it so you can do a lot of things very easily. For instance, you can send app's apk to your WhatsApp friend with APK plugin, or text another friend about app's information, all in one simple code. It's as if saying, "hey Aris, tell John WhatsApp's package name" etc.

Connection works on files, apps, contacts, and plugins. In this case, you can easily find a file and share with a friend in WhatsApp, or share your weather with another friend through your message app.

I launched it in China's Android market and had some fans who gave me a lot of advice and I've come this far to change Aris into more of a customized, geeky-look Launcher, than an awesome Launcher for real geeks.

Currently, I'm working on more customization options as well as expanding my plugin libraries. If you're interested in it, you can join the Aris open project(https://github.com/shinado/aris-open) to develop plugins for Aris. The project is still at its beginning, with a very poor documentary. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problem.

Now that I've released Aris in Google Play, I'd really like you to give some suggestions on improving Aris Launcher. If you've tried it and wanted any features please also let me know.

    A huge thanks to everyone.

Is there an alternative to Dropbox / Drive that stores files on my own server at home?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 05:23 AM PST

I'm comfortable setting up servers and such, firewalls and networking so I don't mind a bit of work needed.

What I'm looking for is a setup with a good android app to let me connect to the server, share links, share files, the functionality I like in the mature file hosts but without physically using their storage.

    Thanks.

    What is up with Iheart?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 09:21 AM PST

I just recently reinstalled iHeartRadio and the format is jacked up. It's been a long time since I've used it but I can't find a list of my stations and everything is behind a paywall. Are there decent alternatives out there?

What keyboard will let me type ŏ (o with breve accent)?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 11:55 AM PST

It should be a keyboard that's also suitable for general purpose use, which, in my case, means being able to rapidly toggle between different languages (English and Korean).

I use SwiftKey (because I love being able to switch languages just by swiping on the spacebar), but even after enabling accents I can't get the ŏ.

Anyway to force games to run at lower resolution if they have no option for lower graphics?

Just curious because my phone is pretty weak compared to average phone nowadays, and some games run like trash even though specs don't seem that high.

[DEV] LogiTycoon - Transport Game (Free)

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 04:48 AM PST

Good Afternoon everyone. I'd like to introduce the new app/online game I've been developing for the last couple of years.

It's called LogiTycoon and it's a cross-platform (Android, iOS, Browser) transport game in which you need to start your own transport company and try to become the greatest of them all.

You can download the Android app on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logitycoon.logitycoon

I hope you guys will enjoy it and if you have some great ideas to improve this game, just let me know in the comments ;)

Are there ways so I can phone someone from my PC?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2018 04:39 PM PST

First off, VoIP isn't an option, and as I am not from america I also can't use services like Google Voice. I would need something that redirects my audio to and from my PC. Is anything like this even possible? Or already done?

Are there some apps that can save battery when phone is on and active?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2018 10:04 PM PST

I'm already aware of such apps like Greenify and Force Doze and I'm using them daily, but both apps are focusing on saving battery when the screen is turned off and phone is not in use. I wonder whether there are some apps and tricks to reduce battery usage when the screen is on and phone in use.

[DEV] 3anglez - minimalist arcade game

    Posted: 28 Feb 2018 06:12 AM PST

3anglez is an HTML5 game that uses Phaser as the main game engine that handles the logic and rendering while Howler is used for the sound.

It was ported to Android using Cordova as a container which can access the native API of an Android smartphone and Crosswalk that acts as the WebView rendering the WebGL context. Implementing Cordova plugins such as Notifications, Leaderboard, Analytics, was hard because they would always enter into conflict with each other and collapsed the whole game. After days of fixing, they now act nice with each other.

The whole idea of this game was to provide hours of fun using only basic shapes. So I picked the polygon with the smallest number of sides (the triangle) and I build the entire world using it. The triangle is also responsible for the l33t style game name (3anglez).

The gameplay is pretty simple. You have to avoid the spikes, the rocks and the enemies (they have some basic artificial intelligence and will try to kill you). Your job is to lure the enemies into the rocks in order to gain points that are used for upgrades. The controls are simple, tap anywhere on the screen and the player will follow you.

The depth effect of the main game scene is created using 6 parallax layers. There is a slight tilt of 5 degrees present in the whole game that gives you a unique feel compared to other Android games (this feature was pretty hard to implement since I didn't change the camera angle but instead I tilted the sprites which required some pretty complex trigonometry). The color changing background helps you track your progress.

You can try to challenge and defeat the leaderboard top players by getting a higher score! Here is a link where you can play this game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inn3r.anglez3&hl=en

If you have any questions post them in the comments and I'll try to answer them. Thanks for reading the whole post!

PS: I can't say how many levels are there but you can try to finish them all :D!
