Google Lens for Assistant is now rolling to non-pixel phones. Posted: 24 Feb 2018 11:32 AM PST Google App just updated on my Galaxy S8 (Exynos) running Oreo. (I'm from Mexico btw) Google Lens is now fully funcional within Assistant. Amazing taking in mind that Google announced it yesterday. [link] [comments]
Is it just me or are all the new phones coming out really boring? Posted: 24 Feb 2018 10:52 AM PST All the specs are the same, every new phone is trying to be "bezel-less" (unpopular opinion, small bezels don't fucking matter), the headphone jack is going away (shame, just because Apple does it doesn't mean you should too), and really the only thing different along these phones is camera and design. Why are all the new phones boring? [link] [comments]

I wish there was a less aggressive battery saving mode Posted: 24 Feb 2018 05:10 PM PST Most people I see with iPhones keep battery saver on at all times. I tried doing that on my pixel 2 for a while but the orange nav and status bar as well as the lack of animations really started ruining the experience for me. If I recall correctly both on Androids and iPhones the battery saver mode cuts the clock speed down to about half of of the typical performance. Except on iPhones it really doesn't affect the experience a whole lot depending on what you're doing; the animations are still smooth and in my day-to-day usage usage it wouldn't really ruin the experience. If there was a comparable battery saving mode that was less aggressive than the one we have on Android, I think I'd leave it on all the time. [link] [comments]
