My Google Home mini just farted Posted: 30 Nov 2017 08:11 PM PST My son asked our mini if she farted and not only did she take the blame but she actually farted again just for good measure. Greatness. [link] [comments]
Can we talk about Google Home's calling feature being extremely unreliable? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:14 PM PST My experience with calling on Google Home (on multiple units) boils down to this 99% of the time:
Then when I call back my own phone to test it, the call is clear and I don't need to shout at all. But this inconsistent experience (which fails the majority of the time) means I will never want to use Home for calls. Just another feature that is half-baked. And don't even get me started on random "Oops, something went wrong" responses. Does calling work for you or do many people share my experience? [link] [comments]
Just got the new Snapchat layout on Android Posted: 01 Dec 2017 12:54 PM PST Currently on the latest beta version https://imgur.com/gallery/6X58e Also feels significantly faster, not sure if it's update placebo or not tho. Using Galaxy S6. Apologies for the shit screenshot quality. [link] [comments]

Method for stopping apps (e.g Snapchat and Facebook) running in background Posted: 01 Dec 2017 03:24 PM PST https://www.xda-developers.com/freeze-app-background-processes-without-root-android-nougat This method actually worked for me. Previously Snapchat was running 24/7 and Facebook was running around 50% of the day. Now neither are running more than 10 minutes in the background and that's only immediately after I used them. Make sure you reboot after using the command! Also make sure you use the right command. The first time I accidentally used the one that allows background activity (doh!). [link] [comments]
