Any app to get back Android Ticker notifications? Posted: 26 Nov 2017 07:07 AM PST I don't like Heads Up notifications that much, and I'd much prefer Ticker notifications. There used to be an app called Ticklr that worked on Lollipop, but that has been removed from the Play Store, and I'm on Android O anyways. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
I know it may sound completely absurd, but is there a way to mod an app backwards compatible?? Posted: 26 Nov 2017 05:13 AM PST I am talking about app which, suppose, support android 5.0+. Can I make it work for android 4.4 or less? If there is a way, I will just try it on open source apps. Not that I need one for myself. Just out of curiosity. [link] [comments] |

Stranger Things live wallpaper? Posted: 25 Nov 2017 04:59 PM PST Does anyone know if there's a Stranger Things live wallpaper? What I really want is something that overlays the current wallpaper, like the weather wallpapers do, except with those floating dust things in the Upside Down. This is super specific and probably doesn't exist. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Recently released a conversation game: IceBreaker! Posted: 26 Nov 2017 07:48 AM PST Hi reddit, I just finished my first App and wanted some constructive criticism to upgrade it and share it with you guys here since lots of you helped me in the process!
So what is the app? IceBreaker conversation starter! Like the name says, it's a conversation starter. In brief, there are multiple modes (some will ask you to enter the names of you and your friends like "What do they think?" (which is the best mode in my opinion)) and it will generate random questions to targeted people, debates, dilemmas, etc depending on the game mode chosen. Pretty funny with some friends!
You can download and see the app by yourself here if you want to: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lf.gt.knowy2
Oh and it's completely free!
I will be glad to hear some feedback of you guys! [link] [comments] |
Maps Lite or Alternative to Google maps Posted: 26 Nov 2017 11:17 AM PST Anything else that I can use to replace Google maps or a lite version of it? Because my phone is super slow, the GPS is inaccurate at times, and the app takes up a lot. Or should I just get a new phone? It's a Blu (Bold Like Us) phone. [link] [comments] |
App which allows only emergency calls from whitelisted contacts to bypass Do Not Disturb Posted: 26 Nov 2017 10:04 AM PST I found a lot of apps (like Nights Keeper) which allows a whitelisted contact or someone repeatedly calling to bypass Do Not Disturb. But I haven't found any app which allows both criteria to be fullfilled to allow the call. Context: if I am on a business meeting, I do not want to be disturbed, even by my family, except if there is an emergency (i.e. they try to call me twice or several times in 5 minutes). Is there an app outside which allows to do this ? [link] [comments] |

Is VLC the best option for MKV video player on an android device? Posted: 26 Nov 2017 09:24 AM PST Just noticed some slight stuttering when watching a 1080p mkv file. I'm assuming it's my hardware that is the issue, but I wanted to see if VLC was the "favored" option. Phone is Moto G5 Plus (2gb memory model) [link] [comments] |
(Question) Moving Whatsapp to Sd Card? Posted: 26 Nov 2017 07:35 AM PST Hi, I was wondering if someone else has had the same odd issue, Currently have Samsung Note 8, I went to developer mode to be able to move the apps to the sd card. Whats odd is that when i moved whatsapp to the sd card it moved correctly but the files and images are still being stored on the internal. I was searching though google saw most people saying needs to be rooted. My question is would there be a way to create a symbolic link to route to the SD card without Root? or do i need the root? Thank you [link] [comments] |

Should I switch from MiXplorer to Solid Explorer? Posted: 26 Nov 2017 04:28 AM PST After quitting ES Explorer (back in 2015), I've tested other file Managers; MiXplorer and Solid Explorer are the most interesting ones. I'm using MiXplorer at the moment and thinking about switching to solid Explorer. The first question is in title. 2nd question: Does Solid Explorer support Cloud like Google Drive/Mega and does it have built in Text editor, Image viewer? [link] [comments] |
