| Posted: 06 Jun 2022 05:23 AM PDT I've used File Manager + before, with no weird effects. But last night when I installed it, the side menu now shows my Internal Storage, SD Card, and "/ System". When I selected it it showed me my phone's root filesystem. I checked Android's normal files app and it's not showing there. I did navigate to my Camera folder by following "/ System > sdcard > DCIM > Camera" and opened a photo in the Google Photos app. This morning when I opened Google Photos I found its now showing two copies of every photo, one in "DCIM > Camera" and another in "/ System > sdcard > DCIM > Camera" meaning Google Photos has access to this as well. Are apps supposed to be able to access this but just don't normally show it, or is there something wrong with my phone letting apps access it? Can you access it on your phone? I used to have Galaxy Buds+ and LOVED them but I lost them recently so I have two price options that I'll write below and I have also written which features of the Galaxy buds+ I loved the most. Can you please suggest if I should repurchase Buds+ or get Buds 2 Option 1: REFURBISHED Galaxy Buds+ for $135 (since it is discontinued now) + free case cover Option 2: New Galaxy Buds2 for $110 Features of Galaxy Buds+ I loved - The fit was soo perfect, with or without wings it was just perfect and comfortable, rarely ever fell out - I loved the tapping on the Buds+. It has options to set a long hold to a certain feature. You can also tap the back of the headphones to increase which I LOVED, if Buds2 don't have that, that would be big for me. And the touch sensitivity was excellent, not too slow and not too fast - The ambient sound (high ambient sound) feature was very very useful and it was not an annoying kind of ambiance - The case was very nice in the sense that it didn't open extremely easily which would risk the buds falling out easily - The battery lasted sooooo long, I listen to music a lot and I could sometimes go a couple days without having to do a full recharge Which option do you suggest? Need key press sequence in order to unlock phone and hopefully gain video output after unlock. Hello everyone, My galaxy A8's screen stopped working following the phone falling down my work desk. I would like to access my authentificators app. The phone seems to be working fine internally still, as it woke me up this morning, driven by the alarm I set. I however believe its battery died before I got back home from work, and I managed (I think) to restart it. However I have no clue of what is being displayed on screen. I'm trying to use a secondary monitor through an USB-C - HDMI - USB-A : The hub also has a charging port, that I plugged into a power outlet. Right now i have a keyboard, a mouse and a monitor plugged into it, and the USB-C cable is plugged to the phone. The phone displays a red LED indicating that it is charging when I press the power button. The red LED turns off whenever I press a key on the keyboard, whenever I move my mouse : Any input turns it off. The red LED doesnt turn off when I touch the screen after pressing the power button : the phone has no touch receptivity anymore. If I press the power button for several seconds, the "restart - power off" options should appear. If I press enter 2 times with my keyboard, the LED turns blue and the Phone vibrates to indicate shut down. I can then start it up again. I have NO video feedback on my screen this entire time. Hopefully the 2nd monitor isnt supposed to light up during startup/lock screen. Otherwise it would mean I have no video output anymore from my phone, which stings as I would have to carry it to a repair shop. What I need to know is the key presses, mouse movements I need to follow in order to unlock my phone.. Hopefully there is a way to do this using only a keyboard as blindly moving my mouse sounds impossible. I do not know which Android version I have, probably 11 but not 100% sure. | Posted: 06 Jun 2022 06:10 AM PDT I plugged my phone into my work laptop hub as it was only usb-c in area. Since doing that my phone screen is now much smaller. Two black bars have appeared on the top and bottom of the screen. These black bars are about an inch each. My phone no longer can do fingerprint or anything. Does not recognize the functions. When booting the phone i am able to see the android logo be full screen size. When the lg logo appears, halfway through animation it moves down an inch. I have tried Safe boot Restarting One handed mode Settings reset (not factory reset) Was wondering if anyone knows whats going on or can help [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Jun 2022 04:08 AM PDT So I did something stupid (I don't exactly know what but it's in settings + deleted some stuff that you shouldn't touch) and now it's like 3/4 of my apps show 0B storage usage. Even though it indicates that 0B is stored in the memory (can't delete cache and data), most apps are still working fine, just can't clear data. However, Google play is no longer working (I have to log in and out to be able to use it and it will stop working again once I exit). I can't attach a screenshot but it's something like this: -Find device. Size: 18MB... Data: 0B -WhatsApp Messenger. Size: 81MB... Data: 0B -Google Play Store. Size: 66MB... Data: 0B -Reddit. Size: 311MB... Data: 0B You get the idea. My phone is a Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro. System is MIUI 13, Android 12. Is there a way to fix this without having to do factory reset? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Jun 2022 03:25 AM PDT Hi Reddit, My oneplus 7 pro display somehow broke, at the start it was just a crack on the screen, but it slowly got worse, to the point where a portion of the touch screen became unresponsive. My phone was still somewhat usable, so i just thought that i will get it repair when i have the time. But, after talking with a phone technician, he told me that oneplus doesn't provide spare display, and that having this phone repaired will only lead to more problems, so i set on buying a new one. The real problem is that, before learning that my screen couldn't be fixed, my phone locked itself, asking for my PIN code (it usually does that as a safety measure, i just forgot that it did), but the 1 2 3 and 4 5 6 lines of the PIN code appears exactly in the part of the screen that is unresponsive. So, ive been trying to recover the data on my phone, but all of my research lead to : "just go to your setting and enable 'USB debugging' ", which i obviously can't do, or "just factory reset your phone". There are some options which i haven't tried yet that i think might work :
Ive also wandered in the recovery mode, where i discovered a "reset system settings" in the reset options, but after a lot of research, im still not certain of what it does, or if it's any different from the "wipe everything option", so im not sure that at will help. Posted: 06 Jun 2022 02:31 AM PDT I've been having issues with my phone where once in a while, all the photos would have their order totally randomized, with all of them saying they were taken on the same day, and I couldn't figure out why or if I could undo it. Just today, I figured out by chance that this was being caused by me moving the photos from storage to the SD card. After some Googling, I found a site saying that this is due to a quirk in Android phones where moving the photo recreates the file, thus updating the file timestamp and messing up the order. However, the photos have their own data called EXIF data that does capture the actual time of creation of the photo, and is not changed when the file is moved. Thus, there are two ways to fix this: A, use an alternate picture viewer that relies on the EXIF data, or B, use an app that can reset the file timestamps based on the EXIF data to fix the photos. I would prefer to use B, but I do not know where to look for a safe app that can perform this operation (the link says they have seen multiple apps for it, but don't mention any); they also recommend a picture viewer for A, but it has low ratings. As such, can someone assist me in finding or recommend an app (preferably free) that can help me with my picture issue? And is the information in the link even relevant to my phone (link is from early 2020, my phone is an A52 5G on the latest software)? [link] [comments] |

It feels like a mediocre phone but still an upgrade from my previous Android. I noticed it runs some demanding games (Elder Scrolls Blades, Diablo Immortal) pretty smoothly, but with sound issues. When using the phone speakers or cable headphones (3.5mm jack) the sound is really bad: stuttery, "crunchy" (sorry I don't really know how to describe it!). For comparison, speakers and cable headphones audio when playing music on Spotify is good enough and I can't notice any artifacts. Interestingly, these audio problems don't happen when I use bluetooth headphones. Any clues or suggestions? Thank you! [link] [comments] |

When I search for a business, such as a restaurant, using the Google search widget, the "call, directions, save, and website" buttons no longer show for about 80% of results. Those buttons would normally show up under the "overview, menu, reviews, photos, and about" tabs.This problem started two weeks ago.
