Diablo Immortal just asked me for superuser privileges on startup.

    Posted: 01 Jun 2022 04:57 AM PDT

    ? Wtf.

This is literally the first time it happened in any mobile game I ever played. Generally applications are made specifically to make use of superuser privileges, why Diablo Immortal has this feature built-in?

    Something sketchy it feels, idk.

help finding title to a game?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2022 01:46 AM PDT

I played a mobile game a few years ago with a few of my friends and we had it both for android and iOS. I found it was a very fun game but I haven't played in a long time and forgot what it was called. I'm hoping maybe someone may know what game it is from describing the game.

It was a mmorpg set in a post apocalyptic world, your main focus is upgrading your base(s)/city(ies), getting resources, plastic, metal, gas, and food, building up your military as well as raiding or capturing other players bases, or capture mutant bases for your own, among various other game features that I don't quite remember besides a black market and two types of currncey in game, ammo being a major one, and the other being water jugs which are most acquired from buying them with real money or watching ads. I believe it was mainly text based saying your actions with the graphics being 2D, more of a comic style 2D, there was a simple map showing your base(s) and other around you, and little icons showing your movements across the map as well it had regional servers to play on aswell, each server was basically a big map.

I'm not sure if my description of the game I'm looking for will help find the name of the game or if the game is still around, but if anyone does know the name thank you in advance 🙂

[Request] Can anyone recommended me a rpg game similar to the exiled kingdoms.

    Posted: 31 May 2022 10:58 PM PDT

I liked the exiled kingdoms very much. Even though the popular mmorpgs have very stylized graphics but i don't find them enjoyable.

Things I like about exiled kingdoms and i wish to find in another game :- 1. Open world where you free to go to any area you just need to have enough strength to survive there. It was the thing which put me off dragon raja because despite calling itself open world you cannot go outside the area you are currently in or just do your thing. These new mmorpgs with autoplay and all make me feel like I am not playing a game but just watching boring webnovel.

2.Our protagonist is not too strong from the mob monsters like goblins or wolves at the beginning. You need to use strategy to defeat even a group of mobs. This quality is thing I am looking for desperately in a rpg or mmorpg. Because in all the games our main character is just too stronger than the mob characters from the beginning and only boss enemies are a challenge to him. It just takes away the risk factor and strategy.

I remember using strategy to defeat even a group of three goblins in exiled kingdoms while in most mmorpgs you just need to click on autoplay on even boss fights. No need for strategy. This takes away the fun out of fighting which is the major part of the gameplay of these games.

    1. Story is not linear or fixed you can change it to a great extent.

    2. The enemies look dangerous enough. It was the main thing which put me off genshin impact because it looked very childish.

    3. And no autoplay. It just means you don't need much strategy or fighting style to fight against monsters. It means the fighting in the game is boring making the whole game ultimately boring because fighting is a major part of gameplay of these action games.

    4. There also shouldn't be any arrows pointing where you need to go fir the quest or can find a specific item . It takes away the adventure aspect of the game. In exiled kingdoms you need to find out about the location of the enemies you have taken bounty for or caves, dungeons etc by yourself..

I know it is pretty hard to find a game which has all these qualities so it will be fine if the recommended game has atleast two or three of these qualities.

Looking for a list of active/working unofficial PC ports

    Posted: 01 Jun 2022 12:31 AM PDT

Example: Morrowind and Diablo 1, indie Devs made emulation apps, some on the play store, where you can copy the game folder of a game from your steam account to your phone and play the game using custom built touch controls or a controller.

Amnesia dark decent also has one.

I'm asking because I love these, and I usually only ever find them by accident while browsing Reddit.

There's no big list anywhere telling us what's actually available.

    Anyone can help with this?

Oh I almost forgot half life 2 is also apparently doable but I'm not sure if that's the Nvidia shield android native version or the steam version.

Mirage Realms vs Laurum Online RPG

    Posted: 31 May 2022 05:17 PM PDT

    Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with both, or is currently active? I like both of them, just want to see which one is "healthier" and has an active playerbase. Discord is about the same, reviews are about the same, so I'm hoping someone has an opinion. Any advice is appreciated!

A game with a good story and a fun gameplay

    Posted: 31 May 2022 03:07 AM PDT

I want the best story you have ever seen on a mobile game. Generally mobile games have no story or a weak story, I want to be amazed and think about the story a lot.

But I can see that most of the games will be something like a graphic novel, that's what I mean by "a fun gameplay". I want the game to have an actual gameplay. RPG games or sidescroller platforms would be okay, I am not a fan of arcade games (you know, things like Candy Crash)

And I want it to be a mobile game. Not an old PC game ported to Android. I want this game to be only on mobile because otherwise all the recommendation I will get will be PC games. I just want to see if a game developed for mobile can have a good story :D

Lastly, it would be better if it's free or cheap 😅

Card Twister - The Party Game

    Posted: 31 May 2022 02:52 PM PDT

    Hello everyone,

My name is Michael and I'm a 24-year-old developer from Jersey c.i. and just finished developing Card Twister, a freemium model party game as an indie project. I would absolutely love to get feedback from the community and hear what you think!

Here are the key links, the game is free to play and has tons of free cards available to enjoy:

    iOS App - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1525276104#?

    Android App - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aks.cardTwist

    Website - https://card-twister.com/ platform=iphone

    Why a party game app?

Although there are a ton of online party games, they're beset by a number of common problems. With a limited number of card types available in most party apps, the games can get tiresome quickly. When you add unjustifiably high subscription prices to the mix and the fact that many of the most downloaded party apps are so littered with bugs they're virtually unplayable, there's a huge self-inflicted hole in the market.

I am striving to introduce the higher quality found in physical card games into the digital space. I hope to cultivate real connections and feel strongly that building communities is what it's all about, not just financial profit, and this crucial fact is something that has been overlooked by our competitors in this space.

    What is Card Twister

Card Twister is a brand new iOS and Android card-based party game with 12 categories of fun-filled cards that will have you and your friends gagging for more.

Each game provides a variety of different types of cards available, including the following:

    - Categories

    - Stories

    - Charades

    - Most likely to

    - Never have I ever

    - Truth or dare

    - Spin the bottle

    - Tongue twister

    - Face-off

    - Wink murder

    - Two truths and a lie

Minetest on Android and Dynamic Shadows

    Posted: 30 May 2022 10:17 PM PDT

First, For those who don't know what Minetest is:

"An open source voxel game engine. Play one of our many games, mod a game to your liking, make your own game, or play on a multiplayer server.", plus no ads or additional money needed to spent on the game or annoying ads, for more info and download:

    https://www.minetest.net/

Direct download link for the game:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.minetest.minetest

Some screenshots of the game (not taken with the full available graphics features though):

The game has a large library of mods too which you can download in-game, for free of course, no weird currency...etc :)

If you want to take some worlds for a spin:

The community has even made available some popular Minecraft maps in the game:

The game/game engine even has a "clone" of Minecraft (as legal as possible):

If you're already a Minetest player on Android and if you ever wanted to experience the game with shadows alongside the cool mods the game has, take a look here and make your voice heard to encourage the developers or contributers to add support for the feature on Android devices and make it work out of the box:

So...how many games actually support 120fps?

    Posted: 30 May 2022 12:41 PM PDT

    Single/Multiplayer: Either

    Genre: Any

    Online/Offline: Either

    Monetization/Cost: Any

    Portrait/Landscape: Any

    Key Features: 120fps

I'm thinking of switching from IPhone again soon, but gaming is a big attraction for my personally. I love playing genshin at 120fps, I know it's not supported on Android (for some reason), so I'll be giving that up. Which sucks.

So my question is if course, whivh games do run at 120fps? Any Gacha games? Pascal's wager?

Made this small game, no idea what to call it. Suggestions?

    Posted: 29 May 2022 07:57 PM PDT

Anyone seen Marvel Snap yet? It's a card game from ex-lead developer of Hearthstone.

    Posted: 30 May 2022 03:50 AM PDT

Just thought I would share the news since I'm fairly excited about it. Still in development and no play store link yet, unfortunately. The games are going to be pretty short in comparison to Hearthstone. Worth checking out if you like card games. The lead developer I'm talking about is Ben Brode (lead developer, not owner).
