What remote control apps have the widest support for devices? More specifically I need something that works like Sony RM-ED060 remote control. The premium version syncs data with my bank so I don't have to manually input transactions, which I love. But the premium version is $50 one-off or $40 per year. | Text to Speech app - Too many dodgy choices! Posted: 28 Feb 2022 06:58 PM PST First time poster, long time lurker. I'm finding the text to speech function on Word to be incredibly useful when writing as it allows me to edit and review a lot easier! The only downside is the pronunciation. I don't even hate the AI voice, both he and she are fine. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a free or reasonably low priced text to speech app which allows you to adjust the pronunciation of certain words? Such a thing may not exist but I bow to the collective wisdom of this reddit and hope someone can help! [link] [comments] |

| Any app out there with the LineageOS "phone number lookup" functionality? Posted: 01 Mar 2022 02:06 AM PST Hey there, I had used LineageOS for a few months now. I didn't like it too much, it's alright but I went back to my OnePlus 6's stock (OxygenOS). What I really loved though was the "phone number lookup" functionality in the phone call app. Whenever someone called me, and the number was not part of my contacts, the app made a lookup and showed me results from some international database I guess. So after 1-2 seconds of rining, I could see who is calling me, and it was also saved in the call history. This is extremely useful as I use my phone for business purposes and I immediately know e.g with company is calling me right now. Whether it's my plumber or a business partner, etc... Many "phone call identification" apps are focusing on spam calls and most of them have really bad reviews, i.e. big privacy issues. I've been using it for roughly a week. So far, so good. My only issue is getting auto fill service to function, as it does sometimes, but in all honesty I'm thinking of turning that off because I use the double tap feature to quickly access it.
