An App that can track time usage of another app Posted: 30 Mar 2022 07:54 PM PDT I am a student and I have a lectures app called "Marrow". It has all my lectures as recorded videos. Currently I am using an app called Boosted that I can set to when I am studying or when I am doing something else. I am looking for an app that can detect when Marrow is open and automatically count that time as study time. Is there an app like that ? Edit : Thanks! Ill use Digital Wellbeing to track the time as that seems like the best option currently. :) [link] [comments] |
I was unhappy with existing workflow apps, so I've built my own "get sh*t done" app. Posted: 30 Mar 2022 11:24 PM PDT Hey Redditors, great to be here! Having worked on Questmate (Play Store) for a while now (first alone, now with a small team), I feel like now might be the right time to share it with my fellow redditors. Some features that make Questmate stand out from the crowd (e.g. "why another workflow/productivity/task" app): - 100% feature parity between iOS, Android & Web (create Quests on mobile) As we don't target specific use-cases yet, I wanted to give you an idea on what you can actually use Questmate for today. What the team and I are using or used it for successfully in the past: - Fundraising (here's how we did it) Other use-cases that some of our early adopter are using it for: - Check in people (our co-working space here in Sydney is using) I'm personally using the app for a few things as well: - Daily gratitude journal You can download the app from the Play Store. There's also https://www.questmate.com for more info. Keen to hear your thoughts! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Mar 2022 06:33 PM PDT I was wondering if there exists an all in one music player app. Something that can play my downloaded music, radio stations, and online music services like YT Music. [link] [comments] |
is there any 3rd party launcher that supports smooth transition during app switching? Posted: 30 Mar 2022 03:17 PM PDT I'm tired of using the default funtouch os launcher with 0 customization. It's on Android 12. I really like the fluid animations and gestures of the stock launcher but can't stand the rest. I do not want the app switcher to just appear out of no where in 2 seconds. Posted: 31 Mar 2022 07:55 AM PDT So theres an app I use constantly, called DrawBoard. It allows me to switch between my regular keyboard and this digital drawing space. (For those who use Kik, it functions similar to their sketch option) Thing is, a while back it got removed from the app store, and from what I've seen, there are absolutely no alternatives that serve the same purpose. I was wondering if anyone knows of an app that does the same thing? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2022 07:30 AM PDT I have a Samsung Note 10 Lite, and it has no options for a Guest Mode much less multiple profiles. It has "focus modes" but they just really grey-out apps on the home launcher. I wanted a more focused experience. I'm not worried about a per-app multi-account experience, but it's a bonus. Is there maybe a home launcher that could work? That has different profiles that I can switch from to and fro, and even set timers on? Any nifty tricks to get profiles to work on Android? Best Alternative to Pixelmator? Posted: 31 Mar 2022 07:03 AM PDT I just switched from an iPhone to a S22 Ultra, and I def love it, but the only thing I miss is Pixelmator. I have looked around at various software that I have seen suggested online, but most of the items are geared towards photo editing. I need something that is very close to Pixelmator in terms of functionality, layers, clone tools, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Mar 2022 06:43 PM PDT Personally for me its been a live translator that doesn't require my input to continue to translate whatever is on screen and that doesn't freeze the screen so I can still scroll/interact with what is on screen. Besides you know... Learning a new language [link] [comments] |
iSyncr alternative (syncing iTunes to Android) Posted: 30 Mar 2022 11:50 AM PDT iSyncr was recently purchased by a new dev team, and along with butchering its functionality they've raised the price from a one-time $4 to $29.99/month—just to sync your existing iTunes library (playlists, ratings, etc.) to your device. They've also stopped supporting the original iSyncr and have re-released it (identical in every way, except the old version doesn't work anymore while the new one does), so anyone who bought the original will need to pay monthly for the functionality they already paid for. Can anyone please suggest an alternative? I know Doubletwist has a sync app, but reviews for that don't sound promising. Specifically, I need to be able to sync ratings between iTunes and my device. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
I made an app to smiluate mouse and keyboard on Android TV using only ADB Posted: 30 Mar 2022 09:26 AM PDT Hi, I made the app (Android TV ADB Mouse Keyboard) for myself because I didn't like what is available in the play store. What makes it different is that it requires no server app installation. It uses built in ADB server to simulate input. Perhaps you find it useful. Let me know if you have any problems or suggestions. Really beautiful iOS-like Gallery Apps? Posted: 30 Mar 2022 06:18 AM PDT I'm setting up an android tablet for a senior with a very large photo collection. They frequently mis-taps things, and the default gallery app on this cheap tablet has a bunch of "cloud" features getting in the way. The UI is cluttered and confusing, and because they have tens of thousands of pictures it lags a bit. I'm looking for a gallery app that's kind of like the iOS one - multiple zoom levels pinching in and out to browse by day/month/year, and simple and pretty UI. I'm willing to pay for such an app if it exists. [link] [comments] |
video player that supports continued playback Posted: 30 Mar 2022 07:54 PM PDT hello I'm searching for a video player app that will save the progress of where I was watching a downloaded MP4 video where I left off if I happened to close the app/go to another video, etc [link] [comments] |

Is there an alternative twitch app that has variable playback speed? Posted: 30 Mar 2022 10:53 AM PDT Right now I'm using twitchmod apk and it's great. But I was wondering if you guys know if there's another app that you can adjust to one and a half or two times speed for watching back the VODs. Thanks [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Mar 2022 02:46 PM PDT Hello! I bought a Samsung A21s today and expected to find the AR Zone app, but there isn't. I was wondering if there was a way to circumvent the restriction via an apk or something? Thanks ! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Mar 2022 08:45 AM PDT I have an LG K92. It came with a screen recording App that is accessed from the quick tiles in the pull down notification. When I opened it, it asked for permission to camera and mic. I granted the permissions and recorded the screen. Now I want to revoke the permissions, but I can't find the app to do it. There is no app called "screen record" in the app list. I sorted by permissions for apps that had camera permission, and I don't see it anywhere. Does anyone know what the app is called or how to change permission for it? Edit: I found it. You have to open the app through the quick settings tile. Then tap the 3 dots and it gives you the permission. You can only grant or deny all permissions, not individual ones. [link] [comments] |
An app that limits notifications per minute/hour/day Posted: 30 Mar 2022 10:23 AM PDT So I have a lot of people in my contact list who like to send something like 15 messages instead of just sending one long message. That annoys me quite often. I'm looking for an app that limits notifications for a set time. Let's say I set it to 5 minutes for Whatsapp. Then I would get one initial message and after that it's just muted for the next 5 minutes. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
