I don't know if it's the right place for this Posted: 27 Feb 2022 02:23 AM PST But, I was just casually using my laptop (it's a gaming laptop : Asus gl504, a bit old but working fine). Suddenly it completely shutdown. So I when through the usual troubleshooting, I took my multimeter and tested the ac adapter which was good, the battery was also good (I also tested the current was going to the battery) and last I tested the ac power jack which was also good. It still won't turn on, when it's plugged in I have no LEDs turned on it just looks like something very specific is dead but I can't put my multimeter on it. So I was just looking for some help. Trouble with crashing on a new gaming laptop Posted: 26 Feb 2022 10:26 PM PST Im pretty new to computers and this is my first gaming laptop buy. I have been running into an issue when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV. The game itself runs butter smooth on recommended settings but after about 5 minutes of play, everything on the laptop will freeze and eventually I will get a blue screen and have to restart the laptop. my friends are telling me my cpu is most likely the issue and when looking in the MSI Dragon Center it shows that my cpu temperature hovers in the 75-85c range and the gpu is at the 50-65c range when running the game. i have a laptop cooler and thats helping the temps but im not sure whats causing the crashing. should i lower my graphical settings in game or do i have faulty hardware. im not very experienced so i dont know how to troubleshoot this issue. any help would be appreciated Laptop Specs: Mytrix GF65 by_MSI Thin 3060 Gaming Laptop, 15.6" FHD 144Hz Display, Intel Core i5-10500H, GeForce RTX 3060 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, USB-C, Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, Backlit, Mytrix_HDMI Cable, Win 10[link] [comments]
Could you help with a good 15+inch laptop cooler recommendation? Posted: 27 Feb 2022 12:12 AM PST Hi, sorry if I chose a wrong subreddit, but I found nothing on laptop coolers. I have a laptop Razer Blade 15 2020 (1660 ti) and this brand is widely known for spicy pillows. And... considering that I have noticed my battery becoming to warm lately during the gaming, I decided to buy a laptop cooler. But wherever I read reviews on coolers I find, they say that it barely cools anything. So I want to find a laptop cooler that decently does both cools the battery side (in the touchpad side) and gives cold air to coolers inside my laptop. Edit: about the price... Something up to $50 more or less. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Feb 2022 09:41 PM PST Screen Flickered right before freezing I'm currently using a Predator Helios 300 I was playing CS:GO recently and out of nowhere, my screen flickers and there's a large buzzing sound. Instinctively I restarted it but it was no use. Whenever I try to power it on, the fan turns on and the keyboard lights up for one second before shutting down over and over. A user had almost the exact same problem and they appeared to have tried all solutions given but there seems to be no resolution. (It's the fourth pic on the website) [link] [comments]

Best Laptop for Frequent Video Calls Posted: 26 Feb 2022 09:29 PM PST Hello, I am planning to buy a laptop for business purposes. Since I will be conducting business primarily through video conferencing, I need a laptop that has a good camera, audio (speaker volume and mic) and hardware that can manage high quality video calls. I will also be using it to run Quickbooks and web surfing but do not expect to do much more than that with it. So far I was planning on getting the following specs: 15 inch display or larger, 16 gb ram (is this overkill), and 1 TB SSD storage. I would prefer a newer CPU and do not have a preference between AMD or Intel. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to CPUs to be honest so I could use a lot of advice here. There are a lot of laptop options and I have been particularly fond of the XPS but I am not sure if overlooking other potentially good options. What would you guys suggest? [link] [comments]
Should I wait then buy the dell xps 13 plus or should I buy the huawei matebook x pro 2022? Posted: 26 Feb 2022 08:19 PM PST These both are laptops that I consider good imo, as they all have(although 9320 have not been released I expect it to be something little like this) : - Decent battery - Good display - Portable - Lightweight - Slim and sleek, with a premium finish and design - Thin bezels - Good connectivity, such as ports and good wifi/bluetooth connections (some experienced issues with the 9310 tho) Which one would you go for (if its released) and why? Thanks for your reply if you did! [link] [comments]
