| Phone "discharging" overnight? Posted: 04 Dec 2021 11:32 PM PST I have Alcatel 3x 2020 - bought it summer 2020. For last three days, I put it to charge overnight as usual and when I wake up battery is low. First night it was charging for over 8 hours and battery was 48%. Last night it was around 6 hours charge and battery was 73% in the morning. It does charge and when I plug it off and on again it charges. Atm, it reached 80%. Can it be that it is "discharginh" after a while? If so is something I can fix? Is it charger or battery problem? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 05 Dec 2021 05:43 AM PST My phone is Vivo Y30i, here I list the (maybe) relevant specs for this issue: My first guess is that the Google Meet (or GMail?) app is detecting that my phone is a low-end device (which to be fair, it kinda is) and automatically disabled the Visual Effects features such as blur and custom backgrounds. So far I am able to work around this by using the Chrome Browser app with Desktop Mode enabled. Before that, I had to set "Open the supported link in an app" option for both GMail and Meet app, the steps are below: Then, I could join Google Meet with my browser, and the 'Apply visual effects' is available in the three-dots menu. But... this is really a janky solution. If anyone could help me enable Visual Effects on the original Meet/GMail app it would be very appreciated! [link] [comments] |

It has battery issues that I was planning to fix because it was powering off randomly (mostly when unlocking) and frequently this week and I haven't installed anything to it. Just a couple of hours ago it rarely turned on. The next time it did the phone won't unlock. After unlocking the screen turns black and goes back to the lock screen. Is there any way to fix this? | Outgoing Firewall and a VPN on a Samsung One UI, possible One UI 4{?} Without root. Posted: 05 Dec 2021 04:15 AM PST Planning to upgrade to S22 when it releases. Let me get straight to the point, I am looking for a Firewall which blocks outgoing connections to all the apps unless I specifiy not to. I know Netguard exist, problem is I am also using a VPN. I can't use both for some reason (I still have no idea why there is a hard limit of one VPN slot on android). Solutions like Afwall+ require me to unlock the bootloader just to install a custom loader, enough to trip knox, and frankly I find an unlocked bootloader to be a security Hazard. Unlike Google, Samsung is intolerant towards custom firmware. Google allows the bootloader to be relocked without wiping out everything, Samsung does not. I need a solution where I can have fine grained control over apps connecting to the Internet (I block all the apps, including system) and only having a fractiom open to connect without having to sacrifice my VPN and have to root my phone. Every time I do update I get more bloatware. Some are easy to uninstall while the others I can't and the only thing I can do is uninstall for user 0 in adb. All videos <<I mean all videos, even ones from my gallery>> play in fast forward witb no sound. When i connect audio cable, same thing. For some reason, when i use my bluetooth speaker the video and audio is normal. I've tried resetting network settings, clearing caches, restarting phone, turning it off for a 10 mins then back on, checking media settings, checking settings on samsung internet, google chrome, youtube [[all three of these it plays videos fast without audio]] and havent resolved the issue yet. What else can i try? I've seen a few posts on reddit about the same thing with the same phone from months ago, so i guess this is an old problem. Hopefully you guys got some ideas. | No notifications when connected to wifi Posted: 04 Dec 2021 10:40 PM PST I'm using a samsung S20+ and I don't receive any notifications when I'm connected to wifi. When I switch to mobile data, I get flooded with notifications. I've noticed that when I'm on wifi, messages dont come through unless I open the app (like on Whatsapp, sent messages stay on one tick unless I open the app). Posted: 04 Dec 2021 10:01 PM PST I'm using YT Vanced, and it is extremely annoying to either watch videos with 2 huge black bars on the sides, or crop the top and bottom of the video to fit the screen. I know the video quality will be affected via stretching but I don't care that much tbh.
