In Android 12, I can't access the clock by clicking the time anymore. Is there a way to enable this? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 11:39 AM PDT I used to use this all the time to set alarms and timers, but it doesn't work anymore. Just wondering if there's an option I can't find to re-enable it? Re-enable AOA2 Audio on newer Android devices Posted: 04 Nov 2021 10:40 PM PDT I have a head unit in my car that only works with AOA2 Audio which was deprecated in Android 8 unfortunately. I was wondering if anyone had any luck figuring out how to re-enable this feature on newer versions of Android. I'm open to rooting to do this, but I've not found anything useful after trying to search with Google and XDA, but wanted to see if anyone here has any ideas or knowledge on this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2021 10:23 PM PDT I opened the file manager app a few minutes ago, and there was this folder called "antifraud" with a file inside, I deleted them as soon as I saw it, out of fear of it being a trojan or something. Does anyone know what caused this folder to appear? Was it a malware? I'm running Android 9. [link] [comments] |
How to Transfer an Active/Live Call from Caller "A" to Caller "B" Posted: 04 Nov 2021 10:43 AM PDT Cell Phone Service Provider: T-Mobile Devices: LG Velvet and a Samsung Note 10 Android version 11. I am completely lost trying to google this information. There are thousands of how to "redirect" or "forward" calls but very few / almost none about how to "transfer" an active call to another contact. This is a pretty standard feature on a Office/Desk phone, but I can't seem to be able to find the functionality on Android smart phones. What I want to do: I am getting a call from contact A, I put A on hold, dial the number of contact B and then "transfer" the call from A to B. I do NOT need to create a conference call. I want to be able to end the call after connecting A to B without ending their connection. I cant figure out how to do this, I NEED to be able to perform this function on the LG Velvet, but would be nice to know on both devices. The only option I have when juggling 2 calls simultaneously is conference call. The ability to do this is critical for my current Role. I work in Radiology IT and will often need to transfer Techs/Nurses/Doctors to other departments. EDIT: I believe this is the right subreddit, but if not, can someone please direct me where to go? (added my Cell phone provider as well) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2021 09:21 PM PDT I lost my phone a week ago at my school and no one has turned it in at our lost and found. I was wondering if there is a way to find it. It is on silent so just calling it wouldn't be useful. I also tried to find it through the google account and it shows the cafeteria (where I remember last seeing it) as the last location it's been, but I'm not sure how the google location works, whether it is the last time it's turned on or the last time it moved or if it works if the phone dies. Is there another way to try and find my phone? [link] [comments] |
Does shadow link still exists in android 7? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 09:08 PM PDT I'm helping a friend to clear up some of the files on his Samsung A71, some apps are using up all his phone's internal storage. However, he has a 128gb SD card, I remember in older Android 4.x you can Shadow Link a folder to redirect it to another destination without the app knowing. Is that still possible on Android 7? This is on a rooted phone. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Weird Times rew roman type font appears on quick panel instead of selected one? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 05:10 PM PDT I would attach a screenshot, but the sub doesnt allow it essentially, the quick panel only shows a times new roman type font instead of the selected one. Ive tried changing fonts&sizes, restarting phone, yet nothing seems to work. [link] [comments] |
Android 11, One UI 3.1, Samsung A50. Need help on whatsapp call recording Posted: 04 Nov 2021 08:55 PM PDT Is there any built-in or third party phone application that could record whatsapp calls? I tried cube ACR free trial but it only record my voice and won't record the other person. Any third party application is welcome as long as it could record both person voices. [link] [comments] |

Can't get past the lock screen, even with the right PIN (S21 Plus) Posted: 04 Nov 2021 08:18 PM PDT After a couple days of my S21 Plus randomly resetting (it's always done it very infrequently but over the past couple days it's done it 3 or 4 times), the phone now won't let me get past the lock screen. I can restart my phone using power and volume down buttons, then swipe to enter my PIN, put in the correct PIN (or even an incorrect PIN) and all that happens is the screen goes black for half a second, then goes back to the lock screen. I've tried resetting via Find my Phone, but it tells me there's a notification for Two Factor Authentication on my phone, which doesn't actually come up. Can't reset via the side keys because apparently there's a Google setting that prevents it. I'm genuinely stumped and also extremely annoyed because this is a work tool for me and I'm missing calls - any tips would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] |
Navigation & Status bar not disappearing in full screen apps: still happening in android 12? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 01:45 PM PDT Hi ya'll! There was a very weird bug that I've seen and have been experiencing on android 11. I'm just wondering to anyone who has updated to android 12, does this issue still persist? I'm just dumbfounded that they didn't fix it during the entire life cycle of android 11... Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Need an adapter to charge while using earbuds, also maybe new earbuds Posted: 04 Nov 2021 12:08 PM PDT So I need to be able to charge my phone while listing to music as my phone dies fast and I also can't blast my music via phone speakers at work for obvious reasons. I need an adapter I can connect both a charger but also another usbC connection for my earbuds. I also currently use my old iPhone earbuds because they are the best ones that conform to my ears without hurting, so hopefully that doesn't interfere with an additional adapter. But that being said if there's some magic adapter that allows for charging and a lightning adapter instead of USB c that would actually work too. Lastly, just incase there's an issue using both adapters as I bet there will be, are there any earbuds similar in design to the apple ones? The in-ear buds either fall out or if I'm able to fit them inside, hurts way too much, which is why I'm still using my old ones Edit: I always lose anything that's bkuetooth/wireless I've got a galaxy note 10+ [link] [comments] |
Can I link my daily driver phone to an extra phone to receive and send text using wifi? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 01:31 PM PDT So I have a chormebook that can recieve and send messages sent to my phone. I think Apple has the same ability. Very useful when I'm on the chormebook. But I have an extra phone that has no service. Both phones are Samsung. I like to use my extra phone at home while my everyday phones charges and also it has a bigger screen that I enjoy watching yt and all that on. The mic is ruined and the battery drains fast, so it doesn't make sense for me to use it out in the world. But is there an app that I can use that will link up with my everyday phone with the sim card and recieve text messages? Similar to the chormebook function. Thx in advance and I hope that all made sense. [link] [comments] |
How's to revert back to regular Instagram messenger after was accidentally updating? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 06:01 PM PDT After declining about 100 times, I accidentally updated to whatever messenger thing Instagram had been pushing. Any way to revert back? Thank you [link] [comments] |
Notification Sound Per App Question? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 04:48 PM PDT My Android know how is rusty as I've been on iOS for a bit. Bought a Pixel 6 to test the Android waters again and so far really like it. My question is for customizing notification sounds per app. Is there a blanket way to change all sounds for an app like Discord? Right now I only know how to change each of it's eight sounds individually. Don't really need one app to have 8 different sounds. Just one Discord notification to be distinct from the system default in one go. Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Pixel 6/android 12 app notification issue Posted: 04 Nov 2021 04:37 PM PDT I just got a pixel 6 running android 12 and set it up and have noticed that several of my apps (signal, textra) that have in app notification settings such as custom notification sounds for different people are not retaining these settings and reverting back to default sound when app closes or I reboot my phone. Anyone else having these issues? [link] [comments] |
Problems with certain websites since Android update Posted: 04 Nov 2021 04:31 PM PDT I use websites such as Flingster which all seem to run on a similar platform/software. I usually access them via chrome. Ever since upgrading to Android 12 they no longer work properly. I can see my camera fine but other people's camera feeds are just frozen (first frame loads). This has only happened since upgrading to Android 12 and it happens in chrome and Firefox. Can anyone give advice? [link] [comments] |

What can be done to improve web browsing fluidity? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 03:54 PM PDT I thought the new Tensor chip would improve things to the point of affecting web browsers fluidity in Android comparable to the likes of iOS Safari. The OS itself is made from Google and Pixel's are known for the stock experience. But it didn't. If this post sounds like anti-Google or Androidphobic, it's not on my intentions nor do I discredit the performance improvements versus the last year's flagship let alone the direct competitors. I actually had the P5 on my hands for a few weeks, last summer, and for the first time in the last year 3 years it made me question if I should switch to a newer phone. I still have wet dreams about that 90Hz display, the subtle notch and the chassis feel and lightness. Also Android has made a long way since Oreo. With all this said, I ask you what kind of things can be done to improve web browsing fluidity without resorting to custom OS' or is it so deeply rooted into the foundations of Android that only a complete deconstruction and restoration would do the trick? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 03:49 PM PDT About two months ago, my Pixel 4XL stopped recording my call history. I already tried clearing some kind of call log cache, although I can't find the same thing on Android 12, which I got a couple days ago. [link] [comments] |
Pixel 4a Adaptive Brightness keeps turning off Posted: 04 Nov 2021 02:05 PM PDT Anyone else experience this? I've reset adaptive brightness multiple times, cleared cache and storage on the Google app but adaptive brightness just turns itself off randomly throughout the day. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2021 01:52 PM PDT The pin for my phone is not working even though it is correct (I am sure.) I can't restart my phone or power it off unless I have the password ether. The last time this happened to me I waited until it went flat which took a few days and it worked but I would rather not have to wait so long. [link] [comments] |

Android 12 keyboard popup keypress shape Posted: 04 Nov 2021 01:05 PM PDT Is there any way to revert to the old popup keypress shape on android 12? The new circles are so large that they get in the way of my typing, whereas the rectangles were small and compact. I have the feature disabled now but it used to be really useful. [link] [comments] |
